In All-Star Superman, there's an entire planet filled with Bizarros. They're all from an alternate universe. There's one, Zibarro, who is actually intelligent, and it's a really sad and beautiful story. If you haven't read All-Star Supes, I can't recommend it enough. It's the story that made me like Superman and is one of my all time favorite comics. It's written by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely does the art.

You probably already know this, but the reason Lex is bald is because a colorist screwed up way back in the day. DC (and comics in general really) are full of inconsistencies like this. There's no reason that Speedy's AIDS shouldn't be able to be cured or that Babs Gordan should still be paralyzed either. When Damien Wayne was shot in the spine he was up and running again in just a few weeks.

I'd never have guessed that. Bizarro must be more three dimensional than I've supposed. Thats quite heartwarming. I feel sad for the guy now. :(

And as luck would have it I have the All-Star Superman sitting on my shelf. They have been serialised (reprint) in a bi-monthly title called Superman Legends but I haven't gotten around to reading them yet. I must have 20+ comics to catch up on. I don't browse through something until I'm ready to read it but I did notice it was Frank's artwork. This pleased me. :)

General Discussion used to have an name that had to do with All-Star Batman and Robin, but I can't remember exactly what it was. Something to to with the god damn Batman line!

I hope you enjoy All-Star Superman at least have as much as I did when you get around to reading it. There are several issues of it that never fail to bring me to tears, but I cry easily. It's an amazing comic.

If you're into comic art, I'd suggest looking at JH Williams III's work too, if you aren't familiar with him. His art is stunning and he does wonderful things with panel layout. He's going to be writing and drawing a comic soon and I am really excited to see what he'll do when he has full control over a script.

I don't check into the comics thread very often because the stories you guys are getting sometimes don't appear over here in Britain for months, and I don't want spoilers. It's possible to get them on import but I'm about 40 miles from the nearest specialist shop so thats not practical.

I did a quick image search of JH Williams III, and I see what you mean about his unconventional panel layouts, very dramatic. Nice. I'd like ot see him do Daredevil. And I noticed he did Promethea. Alan Moore is my Favourite author in that genre. I have his Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow? in a collected edition. (It's only 2 issues, thinest GN ever.)

Yesterday I saw a woman's boobs because she was changing her swimsuit behind one of those picnic brick houses they build in parks.
