I hate the awkward lull in the conversation.

L'Empire Des Loups (Empire of the Wolves):

Arly Jover plays Anna Heymes, a stylish Parisian housewife 31 years of age, who experiences nightmares and hallucinations related to a series of gruesome murders in the city. At the same time, a duo of policemen, the unorthodox Schiffer (Jean Reno) and the cautious officer Nerteaux (Jocelyn Quivrin), work to unravel the mystery surrounding the murders. The plot thickens when Anna discovers that she has been subjected to intensive reconstructive surgery, which concealed her Turkish heritage. A series of events escalates into a confrontation with the Turkish mafia and the death of Anna's would-be assassin.

you want my favorite blog or place to download music?

i don't really have one. if i'm looking for something i usually just google or use a file search engine.

sometimes i check this one out once a month or so:

http://filmmusic.ru

not the greatest.....but i've found a few things there, i've never even thought of listening to......and the files are almost always 320kbps.

the good movies out there that i don't think he's seen are:
The Cove, THe Hurt Locker & Moon

budarc, you should go see those, instead of all this crap you keep going to see.....blah.....although he's right, Julie and Julia was a pretty decent movie.

and Extract? i want to go see that......i might wait for DVD though.......not really the type of film i need the whole "Big Screen Big Sound" experience for.....so i'll save my money till then.

I guess you guys don't really read my stupid "reviews" because I've already seen Extract, The Hurt Locker, and Moon. Anyway, I don't really have much to do these days, so I go ahead and watch everything that's out there. I watch at least 3 movies at a time, to save money. I'm not really a sucker for punishment, although it seems like it. I still haven't seen G.I. Joe, Harry Potter, G-Force or Whiteout, though. Not even I can stomach that crap.

Julie & Julia was pretty cutesy. I'm enjoying the soundtrack right now...a nice, pleasant listen. Also the score to Moon is pretty great...probably one of my revised top 10 for the year.

Orphan takes a hammer to the head of a Nun. It's just fucked up because no kids are really like this, plus if your an adult you push the little murderous kid down and walk away.
I'm not afraid of little kids it's just kind of fucked up that they use kids in that way in a movie.
The twins in The Shining were slightly spooky but because they were dead.

Eh, no harm, no foul. I barely listen to my own shit anyhow. :-P

Yeah, Moon is a good sci-fi flick. The music kind of creeps under your skin when you're watching it; on its own, I guess it's not so outstanding, but in the context of the movie (and every listen thereafter), it's kind of addicting, as most minimalist music is.

Harry Potter...fuck, I'm sick of that kid. Too hyped up, methinks. And I can't bear to sit through a two and a half hour movie these days. Three 90 minute movies, yes, but one 150 minute movie, blech.

Ever since hearing Mr. Magorium and Benjamin Button, I've been getting into Desplat more and more. He's put out a lot of stuff this year. He seems to hit the right tone with fantastic and whimsical scores.

Yea but the watching movie Magorium was like being force fed pig vomit mixed with gasoline in an alley while barefoot and stepping on glass at the same time.
I was cringing too much to notice any music.
Ben Button was watchable, I wish Dave Fincher would make more fantastical films and maybe go back to pure sci-fi.
Yeah the Potter films decline in watchabeness after Prisoner pretty steadily.
I hope the next one picks up because besides the drama it did drag a little.

Mr. Magorium is good in that Night of the Museum way -- kind of brainless kiddie fare, but the music really takes off. It was co-written with Aaron Zigman. You can find it in my thread (Thread 66525) if you're interested.

this is hilarious, it's from John Murphy's Facebook page. Let me start off by saying this Murphy is one of coolest and most generous composer's working in the business, as he puts some time aside everyday to answer a few questions from fans on his facebook page and is more than happy to send you promos of his scores.............this is from one fan:

Zoltan Csordas
look John, you've taken your time to answer a lot of peoples' stuff after you told me your too busy to look at what I want you to hear for me and give your opinion for!!!! its been almost 5 days since i asked you for that favour, and you st...ill ain't done it! by the time you come onto Facebook and read and then reply to one of these guys comments, you could have listened to what i've wanted you to hear! the stuff is only 2 minutes 57 seconds long. and dont give me that stuff about not having enough time for it, cuz by the amount of times you come onto facebook and reply to users, you could have listened to my piece of music loads of times. There i was thinking that you were really going to listen to what i wanted you to, after you said you would once you have the time! i asked you this favour way before some of these latest comments came up on yur page, and your wasting the time that you should be using to listen to my one piece of music on users that commented after me! thanks alot.

John Murphy:
Today was my daughter's 3rd birthday. I will listen to your stuff when I PLANNED to listen to it - which is Sunday evening, which is my day off and the only time I get to check out stuff people send me. The only reason I answered any comments after yours is because I try to answer one or two questions whenever Logic crashes, instead of staring at a... Read More screen for 3 minutes waiting for it to load up again. And because, like every other composer I know, if I am in the middle of writing something, the last thing I want to do is stop and start listening to any other music other than what I am trying to work out in my head. Look, I'm gonna give you some good advice - if you talked to, emailed or messaged, anyone in this town, the way you have with me, you would have little chance of even getting hired, never mind making it. EVERYBODY knows EVERYBODY here and you would be on the Shit List within 24 hours. No matter HOW good you are. I'm telling you this for your own benefit. Believe me.

now here's the part i laughed at:

By the way, is anyone interested in all the 2009 remastered albums off the Beatles box set (http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/ref=amb_link_85290631_3?ie=UTF8&docId=1000376581&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=right-1&pf_rd_r=1MTKNYGHXNYPYCE6HCW7&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=490152111&pf_rd_i=507846) released a few days ago? 'Cause if so, I could hook you up with some rips.

I'm actually rewatching Idiocracy. Still awesome.

I boned up (hee) on all Mike Judge's films before watching Extract. Office Space remains the greatest work (sucks)-related comedy, while my personal favorite, Idiocracy shows the most realistic depiction of the future I've ever seen in the movies. People getting stupider is so obvious I can't believe no one ever thought of it before. However I was majorly disappointed with Extract, whose trailer revealed all the good moments and left nothing much to the imagination.

Yeah, John Murphy is great. I won't forget how he sent me to the promo to Millions and then threw in the official OST of Last House on the Left just for the hell of it. He gave a pretty dignified response to that Zoltan schmuck. Jeez, talk about ungrateful.

Waiting is pretty decent......but keep in mind it is a movie about working in restaurants and that's what i do, so i have found people who don't work in the business are quite as fond of it. I think the movie was probably written by people who have done some hard time in the restaurant business.

and god, please don't tell me the Beatles stuff is on rapidshare.....and if it is can i grab the albums individually?

cradub

No, luckily all individual albums are on Megaupload. I was able to download them in less than an hour. I found a link to the lossless albums in Rapidshare though, but that's too hardcore for me.

I'll check out Waiting, but I hope it doesn't disgust me to the point that I stop going to restaurants, a la Road Trip. :-P

Zoltan:
YEAH YEAH i get it, I READ THE FUCKING ARTICLE but i dont give a shit about it. I get what its trying to say about me, 2 MINUTES 57 SECONDS IS THE THING WHATEVER I ASKED TO BE LISTENED TO, TWO MINUTES FIFTY SEVEN SECONDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW how many minutes are there in about 5 days?????? hmmmm.... 7200. now I ... Read Moreasked only 2 minutes and 57 seconds of your time. IF u add together the time u spent responding to users that came after me, that would equal more than 2 MINUTES 57 SECONDS NOW WOULDNT IT. Think about it man, i dont like talkin like this to you man but if i have to point out the obvious then here goes. It wouldve saved you loads of shit if you would have listened to my shit ages ago when i asked you to, AND if you knew u wouldnt have time till NEARLY A WEEK LATER, then why didnt you just tell me "listen Zoltan, im really busy this week, but ill chekc it out on the weekend". wouldnt it have saved us both all this hassle?

&

Zoltan:
you know what, John? just forget what i asked of ya, you wouldnt listen to it properly now anyway now that i angered you, you would probably just fake it and say "YEAH WOW THATS PRETTY GOOD" you probably dont even have those links i sent yo...u anymore, deleted em or whatever. But u sure as hell pissed me off too. have a good life :) forget i ever talked to ya. but now i know what SOME composers are like......

However I was majorly disappointed with Extract, whose trailer revealed all the good moments and left nothing much to the imagination.

I didn't remember much from the trailer when I saw it except the man whore plot. I didn't even know Mila Kunis was in it, I thought she was really good. Kristen Wigg was OK but sort of served as wallpaper to bounce jokes off of, I think she's funny. Not the greatest thing since sliced toast, but I enjoyed it.

I used to listen to a LOT of Beatles when I was a kid. I didn't have too many tapes or records, so it was John Williams or the Beatles for me. I am still sort of burned out on The Beatles since around ninth grade. I still turn the dial on the radio when something comes on. It might be because of my crappy childhood and Let it Be churning up memories. LOL

Beatho ( http://forums.ffshrine.org/member.php?u=315479 ) has just finished his 4 "CD" Return of the Jedi.
" ---STAR WARS: RETURN OF THE JEDI (COMPLETE REMASTERED SCORE)---
This is a complete score from the film Star Wars Episode VI: Return Of The Jedi with every note and cue
that appears in the film.
As we all know, the official Sony releases of the original trilogy soundtracks were pretty shocking for all 3
films, but more so for Jedi. This was partly due, rumour has it, to the original masters being destroyed just after
the film's release. So I decided to go back to the original Polydor release and the Anthology and clean up all
the tracks as best I could.
As Jedi has had the least of its music released officially out of the original trilogy, finding all the different cues and
putting them together proved to be a very difficult task indeed but finally it is here, with over 4 hours of pure John
Williams music compiled onto four discs with the first two being every note that appears in the film (including the missing
Max Rebo Palace Band music) and the last two being the original cues as written by John Williams plus extra bonus
tracks and suites.
All tracks are edited and arranged by me with the sources being the original 11 track Polydor Cd released along with
the film and the 1993 Anthology set.
There are 4 CDs, 28 tracks/24 tracks/29 tracks/20 tracks. Each track is encoded at 320Kbps and 44,100kHz and has
full details:
Title: Vader's Redemption
Artist: John Williams
Album Artist: London Symphony Orchestra
Album: Star Wars: Return Of The Jedi [Complete Score]
Track #: 16
Disc #: 2
Composer: John Williams
Year: 2009
I have included complete cover art, front and back with disc covers, all made by myself.
Hope you enjoy, any questions please comment!"
I just got it from his torrent he's got on demonoid.
Good stuff, haven't even finished it yet it's long and now I gotta go!
