the fight in episode 4 carried so much more weight, emotionally. ep 3 may have had flashy effects and whatnot "oooh they're fighting on floating platforms over a lava river derp" and better choreography, but their was real feeling behind the ep 4 fight. alec guiness (even if he did hate the film) fucking ACTED...you knew obi wan was still conflicted about fighting his old friend and student. david prowse was a genius because even behind all the armor and helmet, and even with his voice being dubbed over, he was still so expressive and had fucking PRESENCE. maybe it was just a jaded old guy and a crippled shell of a man barely able to swing their swords anymore, but that's kind of the point. it's what is going on in their heads that matters

Before the End
During the final battle for Earth, Shepard is gravely wounded in an attack by Harbinger. After reaching the Citadel and dealing with the Illusive Man, Shepard is greeted by the Catalyst - an entity of unknown origin that controls the Reapers. The Catalyst explains to Shepard the purpose of the Reapers and their Cycle of destruction, and then states that Shepard has up to three options to end the war (or less, depending on the player's Effective Military Strength)

Ending 1- Destroy
Destroy the Reapers: In this ending, Shepard shoots a key control panel, causing a massive explosion. Using the mass relays, the energy fired by the Crucible travels from relay to relay, causing all synthetics to be destroyed across the galaxy, including the Reapers, the geth (Population in the millions), the mass relays (Strands any outlying colonies, they are as good as dead), and the Citadel (along with around 13 million people)

Ending 2-Control
Shepard takes control of the Reapers. The Reapers depart Earth in this scenario and the Citadel survives. (This means that this shit is gonna happen again in the future anyways)

Ending 3- Synthesis

Shepard sacrifices himself to turn all life in the galaxy into a new synth-organic race. Citadel is spared but Relays are destroyed. ( I hate this ending because it just doesn't make any fucking sense).

I'd pick #2.

Leaves an opening for a sequel and dramatic character development.

Like if Shepard has a grandson that will rival him.

I think they did a lot of things right that the Gokaiger 199 movie did wrong. They had adversity. They were fighting enemies that were actual enemies and did things in the movie itself to warrant having their asses handed to them. There's a wonk-tastic twist, but if you forgive Den-O's time shenanigans in general, you have to forgive this one. Well, I do. You make up your own mind.
