Well, to be honest, �clair over here (and we created the damn thing, dammit !) are either coffee or chocolate flavoured. and the only way to correctly flavour the filling AND the icing is to use coffee. preferably very strong, as in "should kill you if you drink it unless you're that crazy bastard called Docrate1", because it's one small cup for 6 to 12 �clair. the thing better be strong.

Hold on~ Actually the base of the band is metal wire that I ripped off a cooling rack, tired em together with twist ties, bent em, covered it with card board, and now it's awaiting the covering~ All the same method I did the first time. Pics in a minute~

The set is originally a Steel Series Siberia Neckband set designed for use with a 360 http://steelseries.com/us/products/audio/steelseries-siberia-neckband, but it's a normal jack so it works with anything really. Cost me about $100 a few years ago. I mainly got it because the cups are made with soft cloth and foam. The neckband theory didn't work though.... my head's too small for it to stay up, so I ripped it apart and remade the band..... and now I jut did it again.... I'll take another pic when it's completely finished~

I've been thinking about W and Rider all day. Ryuki was a massive turning point for Rider, from both a design and a story perspective. There was always a huge focus on the importance of the name Kamen Rider and what it meant in series prior to Ryuki, and Ryuki introduced the idea that a Rider could be an evil, twisted person with no interest in justice or protecting others. Not every series since has featured morally ambiguous Riders, but it's definitely been a recurring theme.

W deliberately called back to the earliest of Riders in its design, and both it and every series since has featured dialogue about what it means to be a Kamen Rider. It also went back to a smaller cast of Riders. I know I'm probably not saying anything new here, and this is specifically what people talk about when they use the term neo-Heisei. I guess I'm just wondering what made the changes that Ryuki introduced work and why the combination of both old and new has fallen flat outside of W. Obviously, OOO and Fourze were problematic on their own, but I feel like these things specifically were problematic in both series. The "what it means to be a Kamen Rider" stuff rang false, OOO probably wold have benefited from less forms and more Riders, and both OOO and Fourze lack the kind of unified aesthetic that most Heisei shows have.

If it was just OOO, I might think that Yasuko Kobayashi introduced all these changes because she didn't feel she could write classic Rider as effectively, but Fourze was written by Riku Sanjo and a writer new to toku (who has done some great anime work). I blame a lot on higher ups who want to sell more toys or copy W, but I feel like these things don't have much to do with that.

I don't know. Maybe it's just a coincidence and Wizard will be better. I hope so, anyway.

In the meantime I'm going to go appreciate how sexy the Faiz Gear's voice is. No wonder everyone wanted to steal him. :swoon:

I've been thinking about W and Rider all day. Ryuki was a massive turning point for Rider, from both a design and a story perspective. There was always a huge focus on the importance of the name Kamen Rider and what it meant in series prior to Ryuki, and Ryuki introduced the idea that a Rider could be an evil, twisted person with no interest in justice or protecting others. Not every series since has featured morally ambiguous Riders, but it's definitely been a recurring theme.

W deliberately called back to the earliest of Riders in its design, and both it and every series since has featured dialogue about what it means to be a Kamen Rider. It also went back to a smaller cast of Riders. I know I'm probably not saying anything new here, and this is specifically what people talk about when they use the term neo-Heisei. I guess I'm just wondering what made the changes that Ryuki introduced work and why the combination of both old and new has fallen flat outside of W. Obviously, OOO and Fourze were problematic on their own, but I feel like these things specifically were problematic in both series. The "what it means to be a Kamen Rider" stuff rang false, OOO probably wold have benefited from less forms and more Riders, and both OOO and Fourze lack the kind of unified aesthetic that most Heisei shows have.

If it was just OOO, I might think that Yasuko Kobayashi introduced all these changes because she didn't feel she could write classic Rider as effectively, but Fourze was written by Riku Sanjo and a writer new to toku (who has done some great anime work). I blame a lot on higher ups who want to sell more toys or copy W, but I feel like these things don't have much to do with that.

Sorry for replying so un-comprehensively, but I definitely agree that OOO mishandled the "what it means to be a rider" aspect, and Fourze never really would have had to. The friendship theme and battling such a local threat would have been perfectly self-contained and niche w/o having to wax philosophical.

With W, not only was that effective, but it was also played off of (what is for my money) the best legitimately dark rider there is. W wasn't afraid to go into that space and they nailed it. Granted, I haven't seen much in the way of Showa, but you know what I'm getting at.

I'm also upset at how OOO handled

The rage aspect. Going from Do you have the courage to ride with the devil, to Ride with me to hell itself was amazingly executed. Fang/Joker isn't my favorite W form by a longshot, but dammit if they didn't handle the set up for it, and the justification for being able to control it. I loathed Hina "bringing Eiji back." It was so trite, and cliche. Shou and Philip weren't.

Then Fourze used the words. Well, O-T did, but it was close enough in T-N's that I'm going to blame the writers. That was bad enough, before all the cataclysmic Fourze problems showed up.

I usually beat him through grinding. I have little in the way of skills. jrpgs let me compensate for that in the form of time invested.

It really comes down to just who is searching. Don't torrent recent movies and music to avoid the two mobster hit squads both with AA in their names. Anything else is free game. I get TV service almost exclusively through torrents where it isn't streaming. 5 years going, not even a notice.

I don't think I ever beat them legitimately. Too long to grind and I was too young and stupid to master materia. I think I used some glitch that makes vincent kill anything in one shot. Only works on one of them though.

Not so much a glitch, but a broken mechanic if you take the time to exploit it. The more enemies you kill with his final weapon the stronger it becomes, iirc.

Kill enough enemies and it'll one shot pretty much anything.

I didn't max out everyone, got them really high levels though and found the good Materia for summons.
