Have you heard what Rockstar are planning with the multi-player experience? If you make a clan in Max Payne you can carry it over, with all the vendettas and enemies you make, into GTA V and fight it out there with the same people. it'll be weird. They say they'll roll it out for future Rockstar games too.

I always enjoy the thrill of a chase. To see the victim run hopelessly as I chased them in the shadows is what I live for. I love it when they scream as I rape them. I do however hate the silence that comes after I gut them. They call me The Beast of New York. Oh if they only knew the places I have been, knew of the amount of people I’ve killed across the country; I like to think I’ve surpassed the best of them. I have brought this city to its knees and I’m just getting warmed up. I would be lying if I said I was sane, but then again who is?

I ponder all this as I revel at my newest kill. A younger girl, eighteen or so by the look of her, long black hair, blue eyes, not my type. To be honest I didn’t even have any overwhelming desire to take her, but I figured it would be a fun time kill. I didn’t even bother raping her. I have bigger things to do. I suppose I shall leave a note however.

Its not supposed to apparent till later. I'm primarily writing this with the protagonist as the lead. The antagonist is someone who rarely gets actual "screen time".

Plus I will never have that character state it explicitly. The only reason I said it was to explain the reasoning behind NYC.

Production-wise cutting anything unnecessary out makes sense, but the alt universe has become a big part of the show, so that bridge closing could or couldn't have been very final for that line of storytelling. Pity. I would have liked to know how the whole Observer invasion affected them if at all. The Beast

I always enjoy the thrill of a chase. To see the victim run hopelessly as I chased them in the shadows is what I live for. I love it when they scream as I rape them. I do however hate the silence that comes after I gut them. They call me The Beast of New York. Oh if they only knew the places I have been, knew of the amount of people I�ve killed across the country; I like to think I�ve surpassed the best of them. I have brought this city to its knees and I�m just getting warmed up. I would be lying if I said I was sane, but then again who is?

I ponder all this as I revel at my newest kill. A younger girl, eighteen or so by the look of her, long black hair, blue eyes, not my type. To be honest I didn�t even have any overwhelming desire to take her, but I figured it would be a fun time kill. I didn�t even bother raping her. I have bigger things to do. I suppose I shall leave a note however.

I agree with this. It's an easy bit of show-not-tell that'll give readers a better feel for how he perceives his victims. Not always fun to get into a head like that, but really try to think like someone who has no regard for human life when you write his bits. It'll make it even more chilling. :D

I love worldbuilding, but I never know where to set stuff when I'm writing in the real world. I usually just try to keep it vague. I don't really like just making them live places I did, and I worry about inaccuracy when I put them somewhere else. :laugh: Fictional cities for everyone!

Still don't know what I want to start working on. I've been reading a bunch hoping for a clearer sense of inspiration. I just know I want to write something long form, which is probably what's tripping me up. ;) Short stories are easier to crack down and start writing.

Smell o' vision or anything having to do with any kind of apparatus allowig people to smell the movie reminds me of an old marketing project we had to work on when I was studying foreign languages applied to economics, tourism and business. we had to create a complete press file for a fictional product. Me and my teammate, we decided to go with a thing we called "Scent - O - Rama". We had the funnest time designing it and the capsules that were supposed to contain the "smells" and what smells each movie genre would get. Some were nasty. I think we had one for each major film genre. Horror, SF, War, Western, Crime, Dramas, Comedies. I still have that somewhere. :p

We had thought of designing one for porn, but the teacher thought it was going a bit too far. It was all fictionnal, but the idea was there. And we got what would be translated as an A+. best project we were told.

10. The Wish
The first time Buffy really got dark....and disgusting too. I'm just a sucker for "alternate timeline" stories. Uber-cool to see The Master again too. Plus.....Anya. Always Anya.

9. Once More With Feeling
Good silly fun. Xander & Anya's "I'll Never Tell" number sells it alone.

8. Wild At Heart
The viciousness of Whedon's primate like werewolves disturbs me for some reason. Wiggins central. Oz-centric episode too. The only minus is the casting of Veruca. She irked me.

7. Fool For Love
Spike-centric episode. Too good. I loved how it tied into the "Darla" episode on Angel. The scene of those four slo-moing it through the Boxer Rebellion gets me all giddy. Plus another interesting look at a Slayer from another generation.

6. Conversations With Dead People
So many good things about this one. Jonathon M. Woodward was great as always. Dollhouse seemed incomplete without him (or Carlos Jacott) doing a guestspot.
The Dawn segments gave me the supreme wiggins in this one. Plus a great segment featuring The Trio and giving Andrew something more to do.

5. Restless
Great David Lynch-esque episode. The music makes it for me.
That and lesbians in ice-cream trucks are hot.

4. Becoming Part 1
I loved this one. Angel-centric. It was so beautifully written and executed. The series could have ended with this 2-parter and I would be happy. Flashback episodes are my favorite (that would explain my love for LOST). Max Perlich as Whistler was great. There was always talk of bringing him back but it never happened. :(

3. The Body
Pure heart-wrenching perfection. It's quite possibly one of the most unsettling episodes ever written for television. The decision to not include any music at all was genius. It made it all the more real. Plus Anya's little breakdown is so well done it dares you not to shed tears.

2. Passion
I think this was the episode that made me love the show.
The first episode where Whedon set out to make you feel horrible after it was done and the first where we get to see a part of Giles we've never seen before. Angelus' threat became that much more in this one.

Whedon was always praised for his wonderful dialogue so it was really cool to see him do a whole episode with next to no dialogue and still make it one of, if not THE best episodes in the series. The Gentlemen were so cool.......and besides...Guillermo Del Toro regular Doug Jones is always welcome.

A few others were: Lie To Me, Beauty & The Beasts, Amends, Helpless, The Zeppo, Fear Itself, Who Are You?, Normal Again, Two To Go, Grave (yellow crayon *sniff*), Selfless and Storyteller.
