I've not heard the 127 hours or Inception scores outside of the film. I read both your reviews and I liked how you presented them but I wasn't able to apply it to the music. :sad: I like to have the music playing as I read usually. I've only seen each film once as well.

Did some extensive research on it and came up with a valid reason as to why it was used. ;)

Besides, they used Scottish actors Gerard Butler and Craig Ferguson as some of the lead voices which should be somewhat questionable for the casting as well.

Also David Tennant have 2 lines. really coulda crammed in Billy Connolly & Sean Connery too.

Oh yeah...I forgot about David Tennant too. :D

They should definitely throw in some Billy in the second one for good luck.

When we did movie club before, I picked the first movie (I actually picked the wrong movie on accident, I'd been recommended the awesome Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang and I remembered the name wrong and did Bang Bang, You're Dead), and then I let other people suggest movies from that point on. I went with whatever I had the easiest time finding a download for. :)

If anyone has suggestions, I'd be happy to go with that! I thought something animated might be cool.

Last time, we had a general movie club thread that included a link to the movie. The thread stayed sticky for a month, and people could watch the movie and then come in the thread and discuss it as it went. Open to changes, though!

That sounds cool. With the time difference for me watching all at the same time would mean either getting up very early or staying up very late which I would be able to do at the weekend. I like your way better.

Yes...upon closer investigation, the movie has next to no dialogue and the few words that are spoken are fairly easy to decipher through the situations and character's body actions.

I thought I msg-ed you about that. Maybe not. I think that was one of those nights where posts, PMs, emails and IMs were flying all over the place. I probably got lost. :-\

Belleville Rendezvous had almost no dialogue. Hopefully it will be similar to it. I'd be very happy to watch it for movie thread.

Besides, technically the remix album is more a pop album than it is a score album.

The subtitles in the first one bugged me. They seemed like they were done for the MTV generation.

I'll keep meaning to watch it again and then the second because I liked the story enough.

The dvd had the option to have the crazy subs or regular subs. The first film is the better of the two. They are both a bit of a mess on first viewing but fuck, they were so very different from anything else I'd ever seen. If you do watch the second make sure and re-watch the first one again beforehand. It'll make the end of the second one more interesting.

Yeah I haven't seen the first one since it was in theaters here. That must have been atleast 5 years ago. I don't remember much actually. Some weird Matrixy type vehicle sequences and something to do with an abandoned warehouse or building and 1 way mirror or something.

Only SH with 3D controls (the shit ones), is 1. It's so easy that it's not a problem.

The rest have 2D controls (you push up, you go up, SHOCKING) and are perfectly playable.

The comics are almost universally shit, from what I hear. Seems about right. I read one that was OKAY.

I can't even stomach to play pre-4 RE games. Needlessly difficult because of the shit controls. There were games with 2D control around at the same time. It's fucking baffling.

SH1 is so fucking easy that I don't even really think about it when I play it. Which is good, because 1 rocks and I want to always be able to keep playing it.
