yeah, there are times when nearly everyone is certain of someone's guilt, but we have our justice system for a reason. i know it's far from perfect but it's beats mob rule. reasonable doubt was established.

of course the shitty thing about our justice system is when guilty people get off because they could afford an awesome defense attorney but innocent men get locked up because their court appointed lawyer was overloaded with cases and convinced them to take a plea bargain.

I found a glitch in Soundless Mountain II! If you use the save point in the fenced off area near the beginning (the one near where you find the board) the health drink resets everytime you save and quit.

Moore is a bit of a curmudgeon anti-socialite, I bet he hogs the best chair in the house.

Pretty sure he's had beefs with all those writers in the past too, save Gaiman. Well, by "beefs" I mean that Moore frequently makes public comments that are insulting to other comic writers, the writer says HEY ALAN THAT'S KIND OF UNCOOL BUT YOU'RE STILL AWESOME and then fans are convinced they hate each other until they give interviews that state otherwise. I think mostly Moore just likes to make grumpy comments regarding the comment industry and people feel a little hurt because they respect him so much, then realize they were maybe taking the comment too personally and brush it off.

Of course, when I'm not being logical, I decide that Moore and Morrison worked it out because Neil Gaiman convinced them to love each other

I've heard on /toy/ that part of the reason Mandarake works so well is because as a culture the Japanese tend to be extremely careful with toys? Michael Bay makes the worst bad movies ever. The reason I always rank Pearl Harbor as the worst movie of all time is because it was a bad movie without being entertaining in any way. I was just miserable and waiting for it to be over. Usually with a bad movie there's a lot to laugh about and make fun of, and though the pros at RiffTrax did a great job with the first two Transformers movies, it's really difficult for me to have that sort of fun with his lousy movies on my own.

For some reason I am cooking like mad today. I made a mini batch of pancakes this morning, which were awesome. I have a 3 bean tomato soup in the slow cooker which looks like it is going to turn out great. And now I have started making chocolate and peanut butter muffins. WHY? I feel like a kid in a movie with the munchies, but there is no pot involved and I'm no more hungry then normal. I just feel compelled to cook. If anyone wants food come on over~ I even have pancakes left.

Cuckoo, the guy who did that picture (Nate Simpson) has a comic called Nonplayer. There's only one issue out right now because it takes him like 6 months to draw an issue. I actually wasn't going to read it because the premise did nothing for me, but then it got an endorsement from Moebius and I checked it out. It is AMAZING stuff. It's not just that the art is great, which it is, it's that he just has such a good sense of how to tell a story through his art. If he gets fast enough to work on major comics, I think he is going to be huge.

i love cooking! it's so much fun.

Here's what I did. If you make them let me know how they come out!


- 2 1/4 cups flour (I used whole wheat flour but regular flour is probably fine!)
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cups baking cocoa
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup applesauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. In another bowl, beat the eggs, sour cream, water, milk, oil and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Add in peanut butter. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 325 degrees F for 20 minutes (I took them out at 18 because I like moist muffins) or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.

It's just a slightly adapted recipe from All Recipes (I added in peanut butter, didn't use chocolate chips, used more cocoa and less flour and used applesauce instead of sour cream) so nothing super special, but I thought they were awesome.

I'm surprised he hasn't played with McGowan or Waits yet. Springsteen he's played with and it's no surprise.
Storytelling songwriters are so few and far apart. It's nice to know McGowan, Waits, Ness, Springsteen and Cave have mostly worked together or did live performances.


05 One Of The Few

This song gets under my skin and crawls in the most unsettling way. It's fucking creepy, man.
That laughter......the kids.......puts me in a weird headspace and is hard to shake off. I suspect on it's own not so much. I don't know.

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a large bowl. In another bowl, beat the eggs, sour cream, water, milk, oil and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Add in peanut butter. Fill greased or paper-lined muffin cups two-thirds full. Bake at 325 degrees F for 20 minutes (I took them out at 18 because I like moist muffins) or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.

It's just a slightly adapted recipe from All Recipes (I added in peanut butter, didn't use chocolate chips, used more cocoa and less flour and used applesauce instead of sour cream) so nothing super special, but I thought they were awesome.

For some reason I am cooking like mad today. I made a mini batch of pancakes this morning, which were awesome. I have a 3 bean tomato soup in the slow cooker which looks like it is going to turn out great. And now I have started making chocolate and peanut butter muffins. WHY? I feel like a kid in a movie with the munchies, but there is no pot involved and I'm no more hungry then normal. I just feel compelled to cook. If anyone wants food come on over~ I even have pancakes left.

i've only just started listening to everyone else's mixes...

Me too, I just finished Lye's. I like most of it. I put them on random, did not like the random algorithm as it ended up repeating one song.
I think I tried to remove it from the playlist and ended up removing the one track I haven't listend to yet. So when I heard it again (for the third time), I rage quitted and took a nap lol.
Really like the Lalo Schifrin track and Radiohead. There was another track I really liked.
Overall the album was a nice mix, made me think I was listening to a Quintin Tarantino soundtrack.

and that showed up.
Also saw a birthday cake, very nice. I'm forcing my friends and family to make it happen this year or there shall be blood and I will rule galaxy.

Doc usually answers with 'why does it look like one of my pubic hairs?'...then does the "SMUG" and walks away with a jaunty whistle.

Shopping is never dull when I'm there. I hang prawns on my nipples and do specialist things with the lettuce.

I yearn to think of what you do in the vegan foods aisle.
