Ok so dude in the article said that google only finds posted links. So getting google to not crawl our MF links seems beneficial. Now I know on this board, code prevents links being crawled but it also means visitors not logged in can see the link too (if it still even works like that after the updates). Now if we spoiler MF links, will they be crawled or not?

Links are hidden unless you're registered. People can see that we have links, but not what they are, and if they do a site:mediafire.com search, they won't show up. If we make the downstairs forums hidden, none of that stuff will show up. Mediafire is reasonably vigilant about deleting stuff (the show I have there is fine but it's all non-US tv shows and out of print comic books), so it can't hurt to disguise the file name too. People here will know what it is.

I think the sites going down right now will probably be back in the future- they just need to learn how they can protect themselves from the US. It's possible that a lot will depend on how the Megaupload case goes. I sincerely doubt any sort of pay program will be coming back, and it's kind of shocking sites tried them in the first place. I would think moving all servers out of the US and being vigilant about deleting files would be enough to protect anyone. Sites might have to ban for repeated instances of uploading pirated stuff, ala YouTube. It's easy to change an IP, so it wouldn't be an issue to get around, and it'd keep the site in the clear.

I'm sure you guys have moved on to a different subject now, but I'm glad you were able to talk about my issue a little bit. I have MalwareBytes installed and attempted to start it up but the virus was so powerful that it closed out of MB and then shut the computer down. My laptop couldn't stay up for more than 3 minutes before being forced to shut down. I had a lot of one-of-a-kind shit I didn't have backed up on there. I guess this would be reason enough to turn on active protection.

On the other side of things, at least it's my computer that's getting the STDs and not me. It's getting taken in today, and I hope I didn't lose anything. One time the family computer got a virus that just hid a bunch of shit--like it looked it got deleted but it was actually all just hidden. Same thin happened last night only intensified.

I was the opposite. I liked PH, except that one dungeon that you had to return to countless times. I'm sure you remember the one. Plus:

Been working on Spirit Tracks, obviously, and Chrono Trigger. Because no story and a story I've known for ages. Can futz around with those w/o feeling interrupted, even though I am, constantly.

Always preferred the sprites to the DBZ art. Robo look sgreat with a giant head connected to his body as opposed to that saucer shit. Crono looks best as a ragdoll.

New episodes of everything are still being posted like normal. Just lots of switching up file hosts. I've just been getting stuff via TVN's torrents, they're ridiculously fast when the episode has just come out. It's a bad time for catching up on stuff though, I think all nearly all the older Kamen Rider series were on Megaupload exclusively, and they don't have many seeders.

With a lot of these shows, you're going to get spoiled if you don't watch it relatively soon after it airs. I don't mind waiting until the next day, since if I miss a show, I probably don't have the time to watch it that night anyways, but expecting people to wait a week and not download it is exactly why people wind up downloading it. I canceled my cable a while back but I know Comcast started doing that with some of their On Demand shows too.

Most of the people watching shows on these services don't have Nielsen boxes anyways! It's all extra ad money! I don't know why companies seem to want to screw themselves for the sake of keeping things as they were.

History repeats itself. The same when they thought VHS and home recording would kill box office when all that really happened was a new market opened that was even more lucrative than the box office. Until recently, DVD sales outdid box office like 6 to 1.

The problem is that heavily serialized shows are a lot harder to sell the syndication rights to than stuff where you can watch any episode at random.

Scrubs came back for another season because ABC was still getting more than a million for each new episode from Comedy Central. Syndication money is crazy. I guess people must really like those Friends reruns.

my 2tb external takes about 14 hours to defrag.
a lot of small files, a lot of large files.
small as in millions of wav files and stuff under 10mb.
I install a game, back it up and then extract all the sounds at a later time.
It's just that I never really remember to archive the game so there isn't a million small files :laugh: :erm:

Large files consist of >15gb for blu-ray rips in full 1080p, remuxed.

One thing I really enjoy about my bluray player is that it can read MKV files from an external.
So I'm remuxing my fave bluray movies to the external and watch it right away without any trailers, too fancy menus or anything :awsm:

Most trailers I find are horrible in both audio and video quality.
The official site doesn't have the trailers hosted anymore.
The only other stuff I can find is the popular scene that was parodied to death.

Nervous Eardrums needs contributors...

i am in the process of revamping nervous eardrums blog (http://nervouseardrums.blogspot.com/). it will specifically be devoted to reviewing poular music.

bear in mind that i use the term "popular" in the broadest sense. this can cover anything from actual pop to the most obscure band that only you and 2 other people have heard.

the rules will be very loose...write whatever you want so long as it's music related...

review albums, maybe you want to review a concert you just saw, make "desert island" lists, i don't really give a shite.

blogger allows something like 100 contributors per blog, so anyone interested will be allowed to join. you don't need to contribute regularly if you don't want to...post once a year or 5 times a day for all i care.

no style rules...write eloquent reviews or drunken rants

length can be anything from nut size to as long as you want.

the reason i am doing this is because as i am doing nut suite reviews, sometimes i would like to do a more in-depth review of a particular album. of course i can do this for scores at cuckoo clock, so i will mostly be doing non-score reviews, but if you want you can tackle scores.

anyone interested please PM me and i will get back to you asap

also, if you have web design skills or photoshop skills, i'll consider giving some of you admin privileges if you have good ideas for the layout...within reason of course...no comic sans
my only requirement is that posts as visible and easy to read.

rating system will probably follow what they did with cuckoo clock 0 to 5 stars...however if some of you prefer 1 to 10 or A to F or etc, then i suppose that's fine for your posts.

if something has already been reviewed by someone else, you may review it yourself sort of as a "second opinion" kind of review

movie reviews won't be allowed UNLESS it's a concert film, music documentary or overall is music oriented...

i am in the process of revamping nervous eardrums blog (http://nervouseardrums.blogspot.com/). it will specifically be devoted to reviewing poular music.

bear in mind that i use the term "popular" in the broadest sense. this can cover anything from actual pop to the most obscure band that only you and 2 other people have heard.

the rules will be very loose...write whatever you want so long as it's music related...

review albums, maybe you want to review a concert you just saw, make "desert island" lists, i don't really give a shite.

blogger allows something like 100 contributors per blog, so anyone interested will be allowed to join. you don't need to contribute regularly if you don't want to...post once a year or 5 times a day for all i care.

no style rules...write eloquent reviews or drunken rants

length can be anything from nut size to as long as you want.

the reason i am doing this is because as i am doing nut suite reviews, sometimes i would like to do a more in-depth review of a particular album. of course i can do this for scores at cuckoo clock, so i will mostly be doing non-score reviews, but if you want you can tackle scores.

also, if you have web design skills or photoshop skills, i'll consider giving some of you admin privileges if you have good ideas for the layout...within reason of course...no comic sans

He's honestly really bitchin', on the whole. The robot modes feel pretty boring, and yes, old school combiner limbs tend to be, but this was a classics take and they're $100 a pop, so I don't feel bad expecting more for those who got 'em. They've done a great job of fixing problems by including replacement parts with each release. Can't fault them for the effort.

Also not-Bonecrusher loses some of his personality as a limb by having the shovel break into pieces and hide away. not-Scavenger probably gained the most. That's a smexy arm.
