I was just thinking of this after reading how some folks were annoyed by Skyrim and it was brought up that some (most?) of the lag/long load times is because of the piss poor RAM on the PS3.

Due to my Paranoia factor, I am going to rename all my songs as well, and put the real names in the post.

Does adding passwords really help with security? I mean, I assume they have automated systems for that sort of thing.

Passwords would probably be good if you wanted to file a counter claim. I didn't bother, though. It's kind of surprising they go after anything at all, since I assume they just search the names of stuff uploaded. It could've been that the name looked similar to an actual artist's album too. I just assumed it was the Billy Joel track because of who filed the claim.

My archives remain untouched, which makes me happy. All my other 10 songs are fine too.

Disney doesn't have the balls it used to have.

Disney hasn't been on their game in a long time. Actually, I think they've been really great animation-wise. There are some really impressive sequences in Princess and the Frog, some beautiful animation in the last Winnie the Pooh movie. I didn't think Tangled looked that good but the hair tech was impressive (and will probably pay for the movie several times over). But storywise and music wise, things haven't come together in a long time. Friends on the Other Side is still my jam.

Would love it if some of the Pixar writers helped script something hand-drawn and they just let Menken do his thing again. I'm obsessed with Pixar, but I love hand-drawn animation in general and I want it to have a revival. :sad: At least there's Japan, and a few good looking cartoons on western TV.

Disney traditional animation has been dead for too long. All their recent animated movies just cant compare to the ones from the 90s (especially in the music department). Also Disney seems to like to bleed money on stupid projects like John Carter and Mars Needs Mom. They will probably be banking highly on The Avengers this year.

Mulan's the last film that I think Disney really got everything right. Even forgetting the musical aspect I don't think they've had a real success since Lilo and Stitch, which was what, a decade ago?

I have affection for some of their films that have come since, but they're just not on their game and haven't been for so long. Seeing Disney animators at work as a kid is pretty much the reason I'm an animation nerd in the first place and it's just depressing.

The Snow Queen adaptation might wind up being pretty good (Lasseter's involved), but that's still 3-D. Tartakovsky's said he plans to stick to movies now, Disney should get him to direct something.

Well for when you get back, it is on the 3DS.

However, Faimatsu (or however you spell it) gave it a near perfect score, I have no idea about the stock I would put in their reviews (more than IGN, though). It just came out today in Japan.

I have thought nearly the same, myself. Disney just doesn't have the magic.

And you know, oddly I hated Hunchback when I first saw it in theatres (I was also only 10ish). But as an adult, I think it is one of the most thought-provoking and interesting movies I have ever seen. And yes, "Hellfire" is indeed awesome.

Beauty and the Beast is also pretty cool (especially the intro sequence!). :)

I love the Menken's use of choir, orchestra, and organ in that score.

I didn't really like it as a child either, and I still really haven't watched the movie proper in a while, but the music is some of my favorite of his.

I heard about the PS4 rumors, safe to say the switch to PC will be complete if they are all true.

The change in chip is confirmed by Sony but the backwards compatibility they have cleverly tried to hush up. It's maybe possible with emulation tech, which is what enables my PS3 to play PS2. We lost the emotion chip over here and got emu software instead.

The Great Mouse Detective, The Black Cauldron, Oliver and Company, Fox and the Hound. And they had The Little Mermaid, which is most certainly not underrated. :laugh:

I didn't get a PS3 till 2010. There just weren't enough games for it to interest me, and everything was too pricey. I've had access to a 360 since...2007, I think? But it was my ex's, not mine. Doubt I would've bought it on my own. I really just played PS2 games till mine was stolen, and played a whole lot of DS.

It seems like more and more of the kind of stuff I like to play is going handheld only and I just don't see any incentive to upgrade. I don't care about 3D and I would be happy going back to SNES era graphics as long as the games were good.
