American Splendor was a great film. I've not read the books.

I noticed alot of similarities with NIN and the Tetsuo films, mostly just in tone though.

The first one gave off this Industro-punk Eraserhead feel, sort of like Kafka's Metamorphosis on amphetamines....and for some reason, I kept thinking the Tell-tale heart.

The second one? It's just fucked. :laugh: It's hard to make any comparisons with that one.

I have yet to watch the third.

Yea, I noticed that. Have you seen the recaptcha? Those are cool. Still irritating as hell but useful. They are helping digitise old books and manuscripts, using OCR. If you get one word right it assumes you aren't a complete moron and that leaves a high probability you got the second word right. So it gets sent to somewhere for eventual inclusion in a proof reading. Pretty cool.

Why leveling in the Fifth Ark is useless:

640 CP every 16 or so seconds really isn't that fantastic when you need 6000 per node for out-of-specialization tracks. If you grind early on in the Palamecia to complete the previous stage of the crystarium, you should have enough to complete the new stage and start working on extra tracks just from completely clearing out the rest of the ship. Meaning, all you're trying to do is work on extra tracks and that amount of CP is pure shit.

The annoyance is compounded by the the irony of this paired with the supposed purpose of the Arks.

They are really cool. I also have Spidey but I can't find him. Here's what he looks like. (http://www.marvel-figurines.co.uk/magazine.html) They are a cast so no moving limbs.

The paper thing is a template that's cut out and built. I have a larger Zelda eye thing on my wall. It's the shizz. About 10" square.

Those look much nicer than the Heroclix stuff! It gets damaged so easily.

I'm not very good at crafts, but I've thought about trying to do some papercraft props for my toys. Things like vending machines. I frequently see the patterns for them! I'd probably need to get thicker paper for it, though.

I love dualwielding, but him tossing the weapon aside is one of the most badass things EVER, to me.

I'd think that a Figuart would definitely have both of those. If the rumors are true about Blade coming to the US and he gets a Figma, I imagine he'd get both of those and a million other accessories too, Max Factory is really good about that.

I've always gotten the impression that the people who say that didn't play very far into the game. I remember seeing a post there where someone complained there were no treasure chests. Do you even have to play 30 minutes into the game to get to your first one? They show up really early on.

The revisionist history that portrays previous FF games as strategic masterpieces is nice too. The challenge level for random encounters in FFXIII is significantly higher and I'm not sure why people who dislike the game don't want to admit that.

I like healing and guarding. Prefer Sazh to buff me. Vanille is up front when I'm fighting Adamantoise, because she has to be.

Really liking Hero's Charge as a paradigm, this time around. It's a......fitting paradigm ;)

I'm a real Paradigm hopper - Usually I like to keep an eye on the stagger meter by using a ravager/Commando/Medic, and when it goes from rapidly declining to a steadier rate, I usually switch it up a notch and put the attacks on full with an all out Rav/Rav/Com variation...and switch it down to One medic if the enemy isn't dead by the end of the stagger.

Only paradigms with medics are Hero's Charge and Combat Clinic, for me. Snow's a paladin, yo.

I break enemies with Mystic Tower if there's a lot of them, and Tri-Disaster if the situation doesn't call for a SEN.

Once they're broke, it's Aggression. Vanille and I rampage while Sazh starts working on the next.

Yup, yup, and I think using the word blockheaded to describe him is fair. I just like the word singleminded because it's a trait he and Lightning share, but it manifests itself in very different ways.

They are all speed based, tbh. It's about completion time compared to Target time, but apparently a lot of conditions and items affect that.

Since Blade stuff showed up on the lists two years in a row, I think it's really likely that they'll show up in the next year or so too.
