Had a good look on the track listings I made. There is a lot of repetition. I've used the same songs on the second half of all 3 discs to break up the dialogue of each House, and give each disc a more complete feel.

That'll make disc 2 and 3 easier to UL. You can just copy the duplicate songs over if you want the same set-up.

It also means there a lot less music than I first thought. :erm:

Already tried the two plier trick :sad: I'm too clumsy to add water to the mix (even though the idea crossed my mind)....... I'll hurt myself somethin fierce.... I know..... I've seen me do it before.......... :erm:

Hold the bottle by pliers and stick it under a running faucet for a couple minutes. If you've got a good grip, the water won't even touch you. Give it a quick (very quick) wipe with a towel and start cranking.

What's happened is a small about of paint has dried in between the rim and the lid.
What has to happen is enough force has to be applied to crack the bond and force the paint to chip off the surface.

I know in 2009 it was released everywhere except North America and it's only getting released here now for the Canadas and USAs.
I'm not sure if there's going to be a difference in the release.

I remember I had the chance to download Solomon Kane in 1080p when it first debuted in 2009 and I passed it up. :shrugs: Can't remember why.

When I see it again in 1080p, I'll be grabbing it.

As far as Wiki says, the reasoning for the delay in the NA is unclear.

I suspect they were holding it as a card up their sleeve.

Sorry for replying so un-comprehensively, but I definitely agree that OOO mishandled the "what it means to be a rider" aspect, and Fourze never really would have had to. The friendship theme and battling such a local threat would have been perfectly self-contained and niche w/o having to wax philosophical.

With W, not only was that effective, but it was also played off of (what is for my money) the best legitimately dark rider there is. W wasn't afraid to go into that space and they nailed it. Granted, I haven't seen much in the way of Showa, but you know what I'm getting at.

I'm also upset at how OOO handled

The rage aspect. Going from Do you have the courage to ride with the devil, to Ride with me to hell itself was amazingly executed. Fang/Joker isn't my favorite W form by a longshot, but dammit if they didn't handle the set up for it, and the justification for being able to control it. I loathed Hina "bringing Eiji back." It was so trite, and cliche. Shou and Philip weren't.

Then Fourze used the words. Well, O-T did, but it was close enough in T-N's that I'm going to blame the writers. That was bad enough, before all the cataclysmic Fourze problems showed up.

Maybe that's what they were going for before things really went off the rails? With OOO, I can't tell what they were going for at all. I actually really like a lot of Eiji's speeches if you take them out of context, but they don't seem to fit with the character or his story arc as presented. Feels like they were written for something else.

I think the biggest mistake post W shows have made is trying to replicate the Shou/Philip relationship. It worked because it was exquisitely written, the actors have great chemistry, and because they had a two-in-one rider system that allowed them to fight together seamlessly. Obviously, they had problems sometimes, but it was part of the story, they worked it out, and they went back to great, fluid fights. The OOO fights could have been spectacular, but because they were so commited to Eiji being dependent on Ankh, they held them back. The Fourze fights were really inconsistent on this, and they were more problematic from the get go, but they definitely tried to do the "Gentaro fights, Kengo tells him what to do" thing too often. It's like they're afraid to let the main rider come into their own. This is actually what's making me feel a lot better about Wizard - Haruto's been fighting for a while and is more than capable of handling things on his own. Now my fear is just that they'll take things too far in the other direction. :laugh: Almost all the supporting cast is female too, which is making me think they're at least stepping away from the W rip-offs.

It also seems like the shows have really been mishandling the secondary riders. I LOVE Date and I actually like Brotou quite a bit too, but I feel like they really botched things with Birth overall. With Fourze, Meteor was pretty well handled at first, but they seemed to act like Ryusei's story was done once Jiro was saved. They found ways to sideline him pretty frequently.

I actually had somewhat similar problems with Terui initially (though it was nowhere near as bad), but one of the things that really made him shine for me as a character was realizing that he was unified with the main cast in ways I hadn't initially picked up on. Loss of family is a major source of motivation for virtually every member of W's main cast, and a large member of its supporting characters too. The Sonozakis were irreparably damaged by the death of Raito, and each character was set on their own path because of it. Philip has lost all memory of his family, and almost sacrifices everything to regain those relationships. The loss of Shoutarou's father figure has left him trying and failing to fill his hat. Akiko comes to Fuuto for the sake of her father only to find that he's gone. And of course, Terui is consumed by his desire to avenge his family. The Sonozakis are rejoined in death. Philip finds his family, says his goodbyes, and rejoins his new family. Shou finally becomes a man who can wear Sokichi's hat and protect the city that he loves. And Aki and Terui start a new family together. It's just another way W is perfectly constructed.

Not a fair comparison of shots. I always thought the bit of business Marge does when Maggie turns up in the bag is bad cinema. What is good cinema should always trump what is good animation.
No one uses cel animation anymore. Not even Disney. Once you go to digital output, whether the rendering is digital is no different from cel. (I am not talking about work executed in flash, that's another argument.)
the show has changed. Shows should. The most recent season was a step up from what they had been doing for the last few years, where they had started to repeat. A lot. (Another story where Marge and Homer break up? We're suppose to believe that's possible now?)
That list of memorable moments is total bullshit, cherry picked to create an illusion that the show had become celebrity obsessed. They are no more celebrity obsessed than the earlier years.
Of course there are more sex jokes. They're able to do more sex jokes. Broadcasts Standards have changed drastically in 20 years. ("Fox drifted into hardcore porn so gradually no one ever noticed.")

I really liked Eiji saying you could only help the people within arm�s reach. I said at the time that I felt weird agreeing with him. Probably because it didn�t fit with his development/presentation, like you�ve said.

They definitely were inconsistent with Fourze�s fights. Because sometimes he�d do it on his own and kick fucking ass (the Pegasus arc; yes, I will beat that winged horse into the ground). Then other times he�d be horrible. I can�t fathom what they were thinking in the last 6 or so episodes. As I said, worst executed Final Form EVER. I don�t think there�s any argument for that. If someone says Kuuga they don�t have a brain in their head and their opinion doesn�t count :laugh: But, seriously -_-

On the whole, on his own, I quite dislike Gotou. When it was him, Eiji, and Hina I said fuck it, TEAM GREEED! But, the relationship was done competently between him and Date. The handover was fucking epic and is one of my favorite things in OOO. I�ll give Date the benefit of the doubt and not hold his coming back against him. I realize that fan input kept him alive and that�s great, because the handover worked so well. However, they should have kept him gone. Save him, but exit him permanently. Everything after he came back was hollow and it saddened me. It was a figuarts money grab. If you wanted him in the last episode, that�d be cool. I got my surgery, yay yay. Easy.

Not on fucking jetskis. That was an embarassment to the franchise.

Ryuusei was handled alright at the beginning, but then it was like they realized he was limited in his abilities and gave up. I never thought they�d let that transfer to Fourze. 40 fucking switches, infinite combinations. Fucking inexcusable. Can�t stop raging about that :sad:

Don�t make that many medals and switches if you�re not going to use them. At that point it becomes a transparent cash grab. Go-Busters used the extra game stuff from the brace IN THE SHOW. C�MON!!!!!!

Meteor as whole is just non-existent. Nothing stands out enough for me to bother being attached to him. Coming back and fighting Aries is as close as he got. His rivalry with Leo was shit. All you do is play with beyblades. Horrible.

I�ve loved Terui almost from the beginning. He had a decent motivation and personal arc that was resolved satisfyingly, he has a good range of skills and forms. He got integrated into the main cast and had a decent hand in the end game. He�s everything they wanted Ryuusei to be, but completely failed at.

Plus, on a side note, my shipping was made canon. Not saying this to brag, but I think this is why Ryuusei/Tomoko annoys me, when there�s no real reason it should, especially when I ultimately ship NO ONE in Fourze.

I've just posted my PC mix on the blog. I consider these two as one. VGM have always been pretty much Pc AND consoles for me, so it seemed natural. On top of that I've tried to add only games I've finished. the only exceptions being Castlevania bloodlines, Die by the sword and surprisingly, Secret of mana. Never been able to be the next to last (or next to next to last) boss.

When I was a young teen I watched subbed stuff happily. I even went out of my way to buy it. Though I started out watching dubbed stuff, for obvious reasons.

I don't agree, but at least I sort of understand how some people don't want to see honorifics or Japanese words, but I can't even begin to understand why Over-Time will change words that are already in English.

Yeah, it's stuff like that that really irritates me. I'm fine with changing stuff to expressions we use that mean the same thing, like translating "surii saizu" to "measurements", but Westernizing it to that extent makes me roll my eyes out of my head. I know I'm watching a Japanese show and I have no desire to pretend otherwise. Not to mention it doesn't make any sense for the characters to make those references. Might as well give them all western names too. Garrett Kyle wants to make friends with everyone at Asteroid High School! His old friend Katie Johnson is a big old space nerd, and his new friend Ken Underwood is sick all the time. :sad: Plus, they have to fight monsters! It's always big if you don't upload from your own comp. Blogger won't resize it otherwise for some reason, but I imagine she had to do it from offsite to make sure it animated like it was supposed to.

An anime mix would be my nightmare. All in all, my "favorite anime music" playlist has nearly more than 3000 tracks...
