I love Gunpei so much. ; ; I always like the goofy guys who take themselves too seriously. I ship Gunpei/Sosuke so I was biased against Miu. Mostly, I thought she didn't get a whole lot to do, though.

I see only one real reason for them to do that: the new release (29th march 2013) strangely occurs a week before Wrestlemania 29, where many speculate there will be a match between the Rock (who stars in the movie) and another guy (Either Brock Lesnar or the Undertaker, I'd say). Going 3D my ass. Hasbro wants to sell as many Gi joe and WWE figures as possible, and I guess Vinnie Mac Mahon isn't a stranger to that either, even if WWE isn't involved in the movie.

there isn't a single good thing about this movie. Except maybe the score, and even then, it's not really impressive. Back then, they didn't even release it, cos' no D&D player was interested to use it for their games. The CG are laughable, characters are annoying, the only thing close to being not bad is Bruce Payne's character, Damodar.

Surprisingly, the sequel isn't as bad in my memories.

But I'll wait till I inflict it upon someone. Or maybe I'll just inflict it upon myself.

The more likely reason is that they are slated to go head to head with The Amazing Spider-Man, and realize that they're going to get their ass handed to them. Their summer is booked, the fall isn't a good fit. The Hunger Games proved you can have a blockbuster earlier in the year than previously thought, so by picking March they'll have a field all to themselves.

To respond to your Nutshell comment....I didn't mention a lot about this film that was terrible. I could gone on forever with the shit that was handed to me. :laugh:

Thora Birch was excruciatingly terrible. Made Natalie Portman's Amidala performance look like Shakespeare.
The editing and framing were offensively irritating.
The CGI dragons were terrible.....the CGI establishing shots, while looked completely fake, were kind of neat. Whoever designed those buildings, I feel sorry for because they're were nicely designed and might have been forgiven had it not been for the shitty movie.
I hated how they would constantly break character just to make a joke......and they were NEVER funny.
Or the dwarf breaking the fourth wall for a "laugh". Wow. Did they really?

Saw red when I saw those. if I had to give "A serbian film" a note, it'd be in the negatives. One of the few terrible movies I've seen I truly hate.

As for Gijoe 2, I think that this delay, as JonC suggested, might be to do a couple of re-shoots. maybe to get another character in, or to change a plot element. Or that's indeed because they're afraid of the competition. I'm not sure that it's Spiderman they're afraid of (not the same kind of movie, not the same targeted audience, plus I have my doubts on it being good. call me paranoid but I'm still not convinced a reboot was needed so soon. Like Saying "Yeah, that Evil Dead dude did a bunch of movies, but they were shit. this guy has directed a lot of music videos, it's gonna be awesome !!". that and I have big doubts on the script). But maybe it's another movie coming out this summer, speaking of another team of "Elite militaries", with an army of action movie stars in it, that may have troubled them. not that it makes Expendables 2 good. I guess it'll be a 2&1/2 Stath kicks ass out of 5, but it's big enough to instantly make people forget that film they saw in July with Bruce Willis and that ex-wrestler.

I've seen most of those 2+ times too. I saw Return of the King in theaters a ridiculous amount of times. Once at a special showing where my friend rented out the theater, and then a bunch more times because I got out of work at a weird time and needed to kill time at the mall for a few hours before I could get picked up, so I'd just go see it. I fell asleep once. ; ;

Didn't see Sleepy Hollow or either of the Hellboys twice. Or UP, even though I loved it.

Thinking about it, I actually used to see a lot of movies more than once? Mostly because people would want to go to the same thing. This year is the first time I've seen something twice since TDK, I think.

Hitch really bothered me. I think because it had a lot of the worst about romantic comedies even though it had Will Smith in the lead. Eva Mendes' character made me rage. It's not even that it's poorly made.

The atmosphere, some of the camera work, the acting was bearable and effects were impressive.

But there was no character development, it was drab as hell and the director tried to tell us there's a strong message behind it.

Bullshit. Even if there is a strong message behind it, one can do that without newborn baby rape.

He's basically trying to lie to our faces and tell us it's about censorship? Fuck you. It's for pure controversy.

I watched Colin (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1278322/), a zombie film, it was made for �45. But usually I stay away from that stuff. Most of them use gore to substitute not having a plot or characters worth caring about. Sci-fi ... I can can usually watch anything. It's my thing. :sad:

I was able to sit through those Bay remakes.

'Cept F13th. That was really, really bad.

Nightmare was terrible...but didn't leave a bad taste afterwards. Just sort of wiped that one from my memory.

F13th can't go unforgiven.

Thankfully the only ones I have seen of those.

I never saw the LOTR films in the Theater :sad:

I missed out big time.

I saw them all at once at a theater event for Return of the King. Showed the extended Fellowship and Towers before premiering the theatrical Return of the King. It was like 13 hours total.
It was magical with a cosplay contest, swag and the theater staff saying it was ok to break all the normal theater rules given the extended amount of time we would be in there. I still have the ticket in a lanyard with a frodo card they gave out. I think I sold the little curio they gave out.

Zardoz. Whenever someone says the title of this movie, the first picture coming in one's mind is "Sean Connery in a red Mankini with a pistol". But there's much more to it than that.

Zardoz is a weird movie. One of the weirdest i've seen, with many levels of readings. On the surface, it's a weird, kitsch, bizarre Sci-fi flick. Under which hides a twisted variation on the "Wizard of Oz". Underneath that varnish of Kitsch costumes, sets and weird storytelling lies a philosophical reflexion on a multitude of themes: Immortality and what its long terms effect would mean for society, moral and social deviances and the reaction of a society toward said deviances. It can also be considered as a study in decadence. Hell, I even managed to find a charge against feminism hidden in there. Not a bad movie (good acting, good filming, interesting if bizarre story), but a truly weird movie, certainly not for the casual sci-fi fan. Still, much better than what I expected.

I went on a Barbarian binge when I was younger. Conan (and the 2nd one :notgood:), Red Sonja :notgood: , Beastmaster, The Barbarians and more. I also had a weird one I can't remember the name of that my mom bought me. It had tits every 5 minutes because the plot was so bad. I didn't tell my mom that. :smrt:

I still like Jeremy Irons in it. He was a hoot.
