According to Toshio Suzuki, Hayao Miyazaki suggested the five-year plan after Ponyo finished production in 2008. Miyazaki felt the studio was facing a dire future. People think that Studio Ghibli is always generating blockbusters but the box office take has decreased:

Spirited Away: 30.4 billion yen
Howl's Moving Castle: 19.6 billion yen
Ponyo: 15.5 billion yen

Miyazaki: I thought Ponyo made money more (laughs). Our studio's situation is more serious than we think. In the past we could spend two or three years without making a film due to DVD sales and the secondary fees but the difficult times have come at last. (laughs)"

The cost to maintain the studio has risen because Ghibli employs many young animators.

Miyazaki: "It's a gamble. It's an adventure to make one film in one year. But the money we must collect becomes the amount of one year. It's impossible to let a rookie carry two years of Ghibli on his back".

Watching that show "Terriers" now. Wonderful, wonderful show. Pilot episode was kind of bad, but it really picked it's pants up by the 2nd and keeps getting better and better as the characters get more complex. By the guy who created "Ravenous" and from "Angel/Firefly" writer/director/executive producer Tim Minear. It was cancelled after it's 1st 13 episode Season (obviously :rolleyes:), but from what I've heard was lucky enough to wrap things up.

Revoltechs might be nice too, they have pretty good face sculpts.

Auron is my favorite thing about FFX, and I wish they'd do more characters like him in JRPGs. The battle system was pretty nice too but I like X-2's so much more that I feel less excited about it.

I knew how every player in the game performed in blitzball, and my Shuu had a complete skill tree. Leveled Wakka from lvl 3 to lvl 60 to get him to match the rest of my team.

I like the phrasing that Over Time uses in a good handful of situations. It outweighs the fact that T-N is doing some more word for word translations. I could tell that O-T were changing the structure of sentences and leaving out some stuff because I heard the words in Japanese. T-N caught all of the instances I noticed, but they missed out on some the impact O-T were able to convey with their word choices.

2 instances are troubling

In the flashbacks, O-T has the Sensei saying Keep it up! when T-N has him saying Take a rest. More importantly, though, T-N has him saying that he'll be at the wedding while they are at Nationals. That doesn't make any sense. She has to be stronger so they'll win so he'll postpone the wedding to go to Nationals with them.

MU is usually pretty generous...........sometimes they let me download like 5 movies or 10 episodes of a show, one after another.......then they make me wait like 90 minutes or something like that until i can download more. Which is fair.

And then sometimes I download 1 or 2 episodes of or 1 movie and that's it for 90 minutes....so i pick a fight with it and lose.
