Actually my parents get me a subscription to National Geographic every year for X-mas. Been getting that for almost 25 years now.

That and maybe 3 or 4 CDs a month come in the mail.

Other than that it's just bills and junk mail.

I'd keep a mental note of what I listened to over the week then try to collect them all at the end of week into one folder. Then usually in 2-3 hours slice n' dice the playlist. I tried to give myself the deadline of Friday 12:00am. I almost always made it too.

It's kind of neat that last week the cover drove the concept and this week it was trying to fuck me over.

A small sub-goal is to rediscover my record collection. Starting Friday I'll move some toy boxes (since they're sitting in front of my cds) and pull out what I see in that section that needs some attention. I'll get a couple songs from there and then try to build a theme based on what's in them. Come up with some kind of movement in mood or attitude across them. See what songs they remind me of, so I can go listen to more stuff.

Then I'll fill in with stuff I listen to most often. Even if this step is the easy thing to do, it's just because I listen to this stuff so much for a reason ;)

I made really good friends with one of the instructors. He thought I was nutty. One of the guys who think outside of the box that's outside of that box, he said. :)

I signed up for AP history, but dropped it over the summer. I wasn't a fan of having to do summer homework. Back then it was considered the hardest one.

I took Psych and Government. Passed both.

I remember my counselor asking me if psych was really what I wanted to major in after I got a D on the midterm. I answered that quite nicely with my 5 on the exam. Plus graduating with a b.s. in it, summa cum laude.

I'd try those two.

Raimi is always fun, even in the Hollywood meat machine he still manages to put a little of his own stamp on things.

And Clint, yup, he doesn't always make exciting films but they are top notch technically.

You're right it wasn't the biggest album but compared to the US's reception it did a helluva lot better.
