I really try to familiarize myself with the companies that make bootlegs so I don't end up buying them.... I slipped though..... I have a bootleg Big O box set :sad: It really friggin bums me out when I learn that something I treasured is a bootleg :sad: Happened with those GACKT cds I own. I was so mad about that because they seem so legit :sad:

Convention prices are always over the top. I try not to buy media unless it's stuff that I just know I'm not going to find anywhere else......

Thought I ended up with a bootleg set of Sakura Wars series. The box is kind of plain.... but I looked up the company Sentai Works and it's actually legit.... guess they just don't know how to make packaging proper :confused:

It was a bootleg, but I didn't notice because it was quality.
The only thing that was a tip off was the legalese junk in the bottom of the back. It had been clearly replaced by more generic stuff.
don't feel bad about that since those original ADV discs are hard to come by.

It can be split up you know. I'm not proficient on which program is best to do it. But keep that copy. Sparky at least should know how to help. Single track>split to track> convert to mp3 320

CUETools is really nice. if you plan on keeping all the tracks, it can rewrite a cue file for you for the new state of the tracks (what with the splitting, the gaps, the silence and all).

small scratches shouldn't be a problem. just rip using the slowest speed possible.

EAC can rip with scratched CD's. It can scan your drive for any capabilities that come in real handy for ripping scratches.
It takes a bit to setup though.
about 10 minutes.
and then about an hour to rip the cd.

I really don't care if the music is fitting for the most part. Its distinctive enough and the actual video is well done.

The dub was pretty shitty, and the company was tanking toward the end of the series, so they pretty much destroyed a lot of the ending.

Speaking of Bad Anime games, why are there apparently no good Gundam games? I mean with next generation tech, it would be possible to reach the scale of conflict present in the anime.

When people mention Naruto (in a positive light) to me in public, I have to contain the urge to put my size 12 and a half Nike up their ass.

Hey, there ARE some pretty good Gundam games.

The "Gundam: Battle Assault" series (minus the PS2 game which was shit) has been pretty good.

I enjoyed Dynasty Warriors Gundam 2/3 - even though I'm not a huge DW fan.

There's Char's Counter Attack for the SNES (or was it PS1?).

There's that NTSC-J game for the Wii, which is pretty easy to understand, that's also pretty darn good.

And there's Gundam: Gundam vs Zeta Gundam which is pretty cool and has LOADS of stuff do - though the missions are pretty much destory x, protect y, survive z.

THEN there's that Macross rip-off for the PSP that has a full leveling up system, pretty good graphics, and enough mecha to chock a horse to death.

Seed was the first Gundam series I ever hated, I just remember back when I was a child I had the realization that "this isn't really Gundam at all, its just a shell."

Diane, I've finally managed to remux all my season 2 of Twin Peaks to exclude Russian languages for both the audio and subtitles.
It's apparent that when queuing up several MKV videos that have multiple languages, particularly subtitles, that jetAudio will crash while trying to switch to the next video.
Whether this is a known bug or not, I believe I may have to venture over to the Cowon website and file a bug about it.
However, this will require further investigation before a thorough report can be made.
Diane, I am now on episode 14 of Twin Peaks, and the transition from episode 13 to 14 couldn't have been more enjoyable. I feel a like a gitty child with a new toay, Diane.
Also, if you ever get the chance, potato salad and a nice glass of cold iced-tea is definitely worth the risks of old-wives tales if you're hungry after midnight.

I like my comics to have a variety of different tones. So they feel balanced when I read them altogether, or something. I'm really fond of stuff that's depressing but never loses its sense of fun. Think Paul Cornell.

I also don't mind grimdark if it has a purpose to it, like the way Morrison broke Batman down to build him back up. Bruce is more stable than he's been in ages, now.

The kind of depressing I just can't deal with is a lot of Daredevil comics. :laugh: The ones where the writer thinks writing for Daredevil means "make horrible shit happen to Matt Murdock all the time". But Daredevil's amazing now.

I was using the more horrific themes from Sleepy Hollow and I was going to use some Dead Space 2, The Ring, The Grudge score (Jason Graves, Hans Zimmer, and Christopher Young respectively). I am kinda scared the difference between styles will be too jarring.

I found it helped if you knew what era, country it takes place in or where your characters are from.

It limits what you can use but in the long run helps it a lot as well.

In my OST my siblings had a strong Western European background so I searched for stuff that had the slightest Celtic sound to it that's hardly even noticeable if you're not looking for it but it was enough to stitch it all together.
