So it looks like The Proposition director John Hillcoat is all ready at work on his next film and The Road isn't even out yet.

He's directing a new film written by Nick Cave called The Wettest County in the World. Ryan Gosling and Shia LaBeouf are all ready attached, so it should be interesting to see how they perform under something that will no doubt be gritty and brutally violent, considering Hillcoat and Cave's previous works.

Yeah I got the destroyer expanded. Actually I tried my hand at remastering some of the worst tracks on it. If I get done with that project I will let you know. I think I improved on some of the worst first few tracks. Yeah it's the one with 34 tracks.

the definitive version in the metal/tin case is meant to be the final final final bestest version.thats next on my list.

I can't afford to be buying such things right now, sadly. It's tempting though. This is the one I used to read - it cost extra because it was a US import, and I'm in the UK. Good times.

i use WavePad Sound Editor to..um..de-FLAC all my files.

I create all the suites I do in FLAC in Audacity, then turn them into 256-320 kbps .MP3's after using WavePad.

THere's a trial version of WavePad, but once the trial version is done, you can still do a few things, like changing file formats which all i really use it for now, because Audaccity is perfect for everything, except changing FLAC into MP3....for some stupid reason it only allows you to turn the MP3 into 128 kbps.

Anvil of Crom is pretty great. But that's the only thing from Conan I've heard...I'm kind of excited to rent the movie and get into it after listening to you guys talk about it.

Lately I've been getting into another score, though... "Heavy Metal" by Elmer Bernstein. Some great, great shit. It's kind of how I would imagine "Star Wars" if scored by Bernstein... The movie was pretty meh, though. But the music...wow.

i think Poledouris had,like, a year to write the score which is kinda unheard of....but like the original Terminator movie which had an unusually long prep time before filming....just proves...you give something "time" to develop without hollywood suits breathing down your neck talking numbers....you'll get a good product.

just common sense....attention to detail can't be acheived if its all : Green light,now rush rush rush,rewrites, more rushing,editing for kiddie only content.....then the movie opens and if the writer was any good...he'll be the guy sobbing uncontrolably in the corner of the theatre hiding his face....

Les Mis is pretty good, if it's a heavy (almost melo-)dramatic score that you're looking for.

i saw Razor...hell yeah. i liked that one. it used some old stock footage, but it also answered some questions that i had about those characters, so in my eyes, it was 100 times better than THe Plan.
