Jon is still on 2 I believe.
Without any specific guidelines to follow, I've been doing the first ten by using the first 10 songs in my playlist. At the rate I'm going through the current version, I should have Volume 3 by the middle of October.
Of course, if there are more specifics guidelines...
well then I guess I have some work to do.

They look weird.
Like bobble-heads.
Sure. They're like something between Mad Magazine caricatures and chibis. There are a ton of design (and some legal) reasons to not do them realistically.
It's good design, that's the important part.

:doc: Such dainty hands~
Angelina's isn't it?
Just about every media player has gone in the shitter these days.
There's so many options for decoders, renders, filters and advanced settings that make a VCR look like a worthy device.
Largely it's on the developer's fault if there's too many options.
Or the wrong ones. Or too little options. Or misunderstood options.
Legal patents are the other issue when it comes to media players.
I like what MPC-HT has done in recent months.
I still prefer Jet Audio for music.
"media library" and "cover art" are not necessary when the media player is reduced to a tray icon for music and fullscreened for video.
:eye: How do you find a song that "defines you"???
I wouldn't know where to begin searching and when to quit.

Really cool in a photograph, insanely bad to shot in.
Look at the water, that is a serious fast moving, strong current that would be a genuine danger to the cast and crew. One false move and you go god knows where.
Better to replicate it on a stage where you can control the dicier bits.
Likewise the second one. I don't know what's dripping from that ceiling, but I'm not sure humans should be breathing the air in there. You can set dress that shit somewhere safe. (Still spooky, but you know, it's only suppose to look dangerous, not be dangerous.)

I like to have the first 4 songs planned out and the last 2.
1st Song: Quietly ease into the mix.
2nd Song: BANG! Almost like the lead single type of song.
3rd Song: Upbeat. Catchy.

day 09 - a song that you can dance to : The Hokey Pokey~ Even just doing a two-step shuffle. Pick a slow dance song. Them's the easiest. Even if the girl is into you but you're more interested in dancing with another guy
day 10 - a song that makes you fall asleep : 30 seconds of silence, create a null file.
day 28 - a song that makes you feel guilty : I never feel guilty. Unless it means another guilty pleasure ? that I can do. in spades.
:erm: I'm curious about day 28 as well...
There is nothing that provokes guilt. Guilt is a vice that is instrumented far too many times to illicit a feeling or even a day's thought.
Can I pick a song that has the word guilt in it?

If you're going to give Lincoln a gun, you might as well give him a gun, like the Hellboy gun. Barring that, you could give him the Remington Model 1858:

He's a big guy, he can have a big gun. I'm not sure if I'd describe him as past his prime. Past his prime for Lincoln is that he isn't using an axe.
JonC
So many guns today!
I'll save them all and do one of those fashion montages where I have the pictures printed out on transparency sheets and some bitty old white-haired women with a shawl down the floor that's actually just really covering her saggy skin telling everyone they're going to die slow, tragic deaths if they don't get this set out in time for Monday.
I think, at any rate, the gun I choose will have a pentagram etched in it.
I like that idea.
Maybe give his eyes a hint of golden yellow?

too cumbersome. I'd expect a president to have a smaller weapon on him. this would be the weapon of his guards. I'd go for a colt pocket of 1849. basic version looks like this:
and an engraved, silver version:
---------- Post added at 03:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:22 PM ----------
The weapons look a lot alike, but the Pocket is 15cm shorter and a lot lighter than the dragoon. smaller caliber too. easier for a man past his prime to shoot.
Or he can carry a silver coated axe, but that wouldn't be really useful against a gun.
The hand is quicker than the eye~
I'll look for some silver axes and etch a pentagram into it.
I'm still liking the pentagram.
If all guns looked like this, I would probably not be so weird about them  Too pretty not to touch.

Never been to a concert?
A concert is an event.

Yes. That one was a bit difficult.

I try and give my entire life a soundtrack.
:doc: Riding the bus or skytrain I have music for. I find a lot of it snychs up well with the ongoings of life around me.
When I get off the bus to wait for a train, the music will pick up in pace and grow louder.
Then when I get to the platform to wait for the train, the music dies down and continues in a low-breathing tone.
 I just love it when the doors to the train open up and some dooming choir blares out or the main theme kicks in
It's so uncanny when things are perfectly timed without forethought or effort.
Pure random chance.
I remember once in my life, just once, that the Vader theme kicked in at a most delightful moment
It will never happen again.
It was the Leitmotif used in Bounty Hunter's Pursuit (

All those people walking in teh same direction. I pretended they all served some dark lord.

---------- Post added at 05:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:54 PM ----------

I don't understand why they keep calling it Bane's chant.
It's really not only used for Bane.
It's used for anytime a character rises above their obstacle.
tehƧP@ƦKlyANK -Ⅲ
08-26-2012, 02:05 AM
True, but it's only really ever been released as "Bane's" chant.
All the pre-release media associated it heavily to Bane.
It just stuck :itsamystery:
Rises chant?
Basara chant?
---------- Post added at 06:05 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:01 PM ----------
Movie-wise, it was used on anyone.
Score-wise, it was used mostly for Bane's cues.
Vocally (dialog/script), it's said about anyone. Even those who fell were privy to this chant.
Lyrically, musically, Zimmery, it was used for Bane's shenanigans. Sort of like the villain's theme, much like The Omen for Damien's "Ave Satani" chant.
I wish the soundtrack had included a "chanted" version of "Why Do We Fall?", that would have been more fitting and actually diversed its usage away from Bane's image.
And I like your wife's wedding dress. :)
Thank you. We had so much fun we did it over again 5 years later.

Had to look for the waltzy music that Leland dances and cries to whenever it's played on the record player, but google is pure shit for that.

Theoretically, I should set you up with a lossless presentation if you want to burn to CD.
The laws of lossless abide to CD standards.
The laws of lossy are merely convenient.

I backtracked. I figured mine had to be from a movie.
So I looked up soundtracks released in Aug 2011 and went backwards until something really stuck out.
Priest (2011). Not Christopher Young's score, no.
But rather the Mozart pieces that didn't make the OST release.
That image of the raid on the train town really stuck with me.

Day 22 - a song that you listen to when you’re sad
Day 23 - a song that you want to play at your wedding
Day 30 - your favourite song at this time last year
and I wimped out on Day 24 - a song that you want to play at your funeral because it's between me and the hole. Sorry.

Oddly specific...
very odd...
I dressed up as a 14th century women and pretended to be a dreary lost old woman.
When I asked Cuckoo for a newspaper of the current date, that's when I ran to his computer and pulled out a USB stick from betwixt my legs.
Bastard tried to get it off me.
I had to improvise the rest.
Luckily, right at that moment, an unconcious Argentinian fell through his roof. He was quickly joined by a dwarf dressed as a nun.
And the rest is pure ancient history filled with warlocks, wizards, priestesses, and barbarians trying to hunt us down.
'Twas a fun night.

Star Wars: Revisited - The Saga on Facebook:
Fron ESB:R onwards (including the HD version of ANH:R) the name Adywan will no longer be used for these edits. People now associate this name solely with me and it is not right that it would indicate that i am the sole person working on this. There are so many talented people that are now helping out, or have helped out, on ESB:R and this will continue for the rest of the Revisited edits.
so, from now on , they will become an AD1 production, as it is more like a small production company working on these edits.
