Gentaro is adorable :love: I love the whole cast, really. Even the people I couldn't stand at first win me over completely. And I do like the stories. You can really see the Riku Sanjo influence in them. It's just the fight scenes and all that that drives me crazy. Though eventually Powerdizer stuff became a lot more enjoyable for me.

I think I took my dislike of the fight scenes really hard, because I saw it as a sign of a trend, and I got all mopey about the future of Kamen Rider. But I love the whole KRC so much that I've gotten over it and like the show for what it is.

Saturday, I saw the Fringe panel with John Noble and Jasika Nicole. Very cool. They were excited about the announcement of Season 5 the previous day.

They talked about that, their other characters, Gene The Cow and Lord Of The Rings.

Then saw the Brent Spiner, Levar Burton & Wil Wheaton panel. So feckin' funny. I could have watched that for hours.

Then the Adam West panel. He was all right. Nothing too spectacular. Funny.....and....a little weird.

Adam Baldwin up next. He talked about Chuck, Firefly, Transformers: Prime and Full Metal Jacket.

Then I went against the crowds of thousands towards the front doors for a cigarette outside. While I was out there, the fire marshalls shut the doors because there was so damned many people there. Tens of thousands apparently.

I couldn't get back in and therefore missed my photo ops. :sad: So very disappointing but quickly raised my spirits because it was out of my control. The thousands of people in the parking lot were just as entertaining with all the awesome costumes.

Went for dinner and returned for the TNG complete cast show.

So fecking good. George Takei, Edward James Olmos, Kevin Conroy, Maurice LaMarche, Teal'c from SG1, Yakko & Wakko and The Chief from BSG all did intros and talked about the legacy of Star Trek: TNG.

Hearing Maurice LeMarche do the ST monologue intro in Brain's voice was to die for. So fucking funny.

Intermission and then the show.

The entire cast was there and John De Lancie showed up as a surprise.

They all agreed the only way they'd do another TNG again was if Seth MacFarlane wrote it. :rofldata:

Opened with the Billy West and John DiMaggio Futurama panel.

They are completely nuts. Really, really funny guys. I don't know what they talked about. Nothing really. It was like watching two guys who couldn't stop doing voices and not making sense. :laugh:

NExt up was the BSG panel with Katee Sackhoff, Richard Hatch and Aaron Douglas. Decent show. Marina Sirtis snuck in to tell Sackhoff how gorgeous she was. Me thinks the TNG cast spent most of their weekend drinking. :laugh:

Then I watched the Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn and Johnny Frakes panel. Once again. So very funny. A little worn out and tired but they still entertained.

Followed by James Marsters. He was wonderful. Such a cool guy. So many great stories to tell. Bloody and bubbly scalps, kissing guys, pissing off Whedon and Vancouver. :)

STan Lee was great. A fitting tribute to seeing The Avengers this weekend. Standing ovation indeed. This guy was such geeky and entertaining goodness.

Finally Sir Patrick Stewart. What a wonderful man. One could listen to him for hours....even when he was clearly rundown from a crazy weekend.

Once again...standing ovation.

People were boycotting them which was pretty BULLSHIT considering how much Mr. S does for his customers. He got the problem fixed, and I don't think he was slow about it (I didn't happen to buy anything from them in that time frame, so I can't give exact time estimates). People are fickle creatures~

The seller in question said to message him about combined shipping beforehand. I didn't because I didn't bother to read XD Plus, the combined individual shipping wasn't much, anyway. I was fine with taking that hit because I didn't read. I just wanted to be sure they were going to box them together. I don't need 500 packages trickling in XD

Some sellers are just totally anal about sending everything individually. WILL. NOT. pack stuff together. There's a seller that I absolutely ADORE, but he's that way. Luckily I've only ever wanted two things from him on one occasion. It's weird because he's not gouging on prices or shipping. A lot of his stuff ships for free and the cost is still so much cheaper than what other people are selling the items for. I got something from him for $80 that was going for $300 THEN. He's good people.

Just go flat rate $4. That will get most toy sized packages anywhere in the US. Don't even have to know the address to calculate price.

Flat rate is Priority Mail. I meant you tell any buyer the same price if they are in the US.
Priority is mostly unnecessary if it fits first class.
I think the Medium Flat rate is like $11.50 I think.

yeah, there is a tipping point where if it doesn't fit First Class then Parcel Post becomes a bit unnecessary once the price reaches $10 bucks.
I do whatever I can to get free shipping materials. Most offices are glad to give them away though I can never be sure what sizes they have. Push comes to shove, I tear up old newspapers to pad the item.

There was a huge ruckus over this at CS Toys a while back. Their system kept charging individual shipping for every item even though they packed everything together, like usual. People were boycotting them which was pretty BULLSHIT considering how much Mr. S does for his customers. He got the problem fixed, and I don't think he was slow about it (I didn't happen to buy anything from them in that time frame, so I can't give exact time estimates). People are fickle creatures~

I find stuff like this really upsetting. :sad: It's one thing to rage at big companies, and something entirely different when it's a tiny company that goes out of its way for its customers. When your company is small it can be harder to fix stuff or do everything like a major company can. I don't know why people can't understand that. Whenever I've ordered from CS Toys, they've been wonderful. They give a little card with your name on it and everything. And Mr. S' videos are great.

People have doing the same thing lately with X-Seed, it's really upsetting.

I recommend watching season 2 all at once, if you can. Maybe skip over the first 2-3 episodes, I think they're all pretty pointless. When it got good, it got really really good. Once they knew they were getting canceled, they really went all out. Thought they delivered a pretty satisfying ending too.

I'm more crazy about individual units. Right now I've got more Revoltechs (Yotsubas, Skeleton, Nowa) than Figmas (Rei) simply because those were the people I wanted. As you said Figma makes tons of teens while revoltech has girls, robots, and movie properties. So that's got something to do with it. Figma is doing Samus & Link.

The Ryuki/Dragon Knight Figmas are very VERY good, despite the fact that there are Figuarts, now.

I keep the card in the box unless I'm taking a picture. I keep Femme in the box a lot anyways, though, because she's so fragile. If I could do it over I might've held out for Femme figuarts, but she's a great figure. I'm just afraid to play with her. :laugh:

Pulling them apart to pose IS a viable solution, but it is a little strange to have to do that, on principle. Knight and Ouja are very sturdy figures and I can pose them just like a figuart. It's just a bonus that I can make Ankh possess them :169:

I've done that with her legs (because they frequently pop off :laugh:) but I get paranoid about doing it much. Weirdly, I have no problem switching heads or hands on Figuarts. I think it's just because they don't feel like they're going to break at all, where Femme totally does.

Though the people I talk to about this pretty much just collect the Ryuki figmas, so maybe she's just fragile compared to the rest of them. Ouja is one of the ones I want, but I REALLY want to pose him with Kaixa, and it seems like so many people have problems with Kaixa. :sad: It's weird because some people's are fine, and the 555 figures seem to be really sturdy in general. Kind of want to wait on a re-issue or something, cause it makes me nervous.

I want Knight Survive too, though just plain old Knight would be great. If I got Zolda it would have to be the Figuart, though I've been really about him because as much as I love the character (and have ideas for posing him!), it's not a design I'm that crazy about.

I know the W mold has plenty of problems, but I have a lot of affection for it regardless. I think part of is that Xtreme was my first figure, and I just assumed the problems were Figuarts problems until I bought more. The other part is just that it has SO MUCH personality. I feel like I can get him to convey just about any emotion I want. Second only to the Kuuga mold on that scale, for me. Though my Kuuga is almost never without his thumbs up hand.

You know the store-bought ones are likely to make you sick. it was reported that the flour doesn't get heat-treated like all the other ingredients before being shipped off. and you know how people love touching raw ingredients with their bare hands and no gloves. and you know how the older people get, the more wrinkles in their hands, the more likely flour and such is going to be stuck in those crevices. and over time, it'll fall out and get filled right back up. and they'll probably at some point laugh at each other about how much flour is on their hands. then they'll make jokes, laugh and probably clap their hands over the rest of the flour and smile that they know what to do when too much gets on their hands. :laugh: Silly old sods.

I've been using ifile.it for regular big uploads, and I really like it. I just want something with better organization options that allows big files, since I don't make threads or anything like that.

For JDownloader users, Captcha.Trader (http://captchatrader.com/users/refer/sparktank/) can do the captcha's for you.
You get some free points.
But then after that, you have to either pay or do a bunch to earn points.
I think it's about 7 points per captcha.

I do the captchas when I'm bored. Get a good 300 points going, great for huge 1080p movies.

You can manually add sites that aren't already added to JDownloader.

I was speaking more on the downloader's end. There has been many a time I came across multiple link files and only 1 was dead, and the uploader nowhere to be found, and sending me on a quest to find an alternate link of the same part which often times doesn't exist...

Splitting and upping 4gb GACKT dvds on MF causes me to keep 20-40 separate files on the hard drive that I'm NOT going to keep around because I don't want double the inflation on the hard drive. So when one goes dead I have to re-rar it, name it the exact same thing, and wait for it to rar again AND test it to see if if opens with the rest of the files....... sometimes it doesn't.....
