*sigh* I am having trouble shutting my laptop down. I shut down normally and it get to the screen where it says "Shutting down" but just hangs there so I end up unplugging the charger and releasing the battery switch to make it stop. This BS has been going on three days now. :(

it's great for catching crap that loads up like "Adobe updater" and other useless updaters you can do manually. Save boot-time and potentially down-time (since it never started, there's no reason for it to hang when shutting down, as Windows likes to save "Last Known Good Configuration" at every shut down).

alternatively, you can use that "AVI demux" program, copy video, encode audio to MP3.
it'll just convert the audio for you.

That should help playback better with 5.1 sources.
