yeah, probably. there's a ton of films about the nazis. usually starring british people :laugh: that never really bothered me, yet for some reason americans playing nazis bugs me. though i think cruise did a pretty decent job in it. actually one of his better roles, imo.

I fucking hate Nazis but to try to completely forget everything about them is foolish. Ignorance of the past just leads to a repeat.

i hate hitler and his cronies. i think he took advantage of germany's poor economic situation after world war I and that's how he was able to get the masses behind him. but i also blame the allied victors of world war I. the way they treated germany after the treaty of versailles really made it easy for men like hitler and mussolini to take power.

But even that is widely misinterpreted; especially, in the US of A.

It varies from state to state. There's never one universal "fair use" law.
It also depends on the owners/distributed of the content you steal from.
Some have zero tolerance, even for a 20 second fan-made video tv spot.

All those people who post their disclaimers on youtube are loons. Utter loons.

The only ones who actually have a margin of safety, are the ones who actually quote the "fair use" article.

11:11 is supposed to be out now or soon. It's got bad reviews.
But there was that incident where the first release of the movie got leaked online and everyone watched it.
The director found out and shamed everyone.

Turns out that was just one version of the movie.
The movie went through changes and there was a second version.
But no one wanted to watch it because they hated the early version they watched.

And chances of finding the real version is going to be slim.
The movie isn't that widely released, you had to demand it in your theaters.
The online communities are going to share only the first version and not really care what they're doing.

One of those "found footage" movies, Devil Inside, was pretty decent. I enjoyed it a lot when I saw it with a friend in theaters/theatres.

I remember slightly about him. One of my friends in highschool was a huge historian buff. Mostly about the world wars.
He had every book of Stephen E. Ambrose.
He talked lots to me about the wars. Rommel came up a few times.

When watching Valkyrie, it reminded me of my friend's stories.

Didn't think the guy could act that well.

Really only seen him in Prison Break. The character grew on me so his acting became acceptable.

Better looking than Fillion? :laugh: I suppose so. ....but Fillion's got the charms.

They prefer TP. They say the story is much more gripping throughout the entire series.
A lot felt that BoB was losing its magic half way through.
One said that he couldn't watch it all the way through, it just kept got worse after awhile.

Been watching these LPs from a set of brothers. The oldest is perfectly pleasant and informative on his own. Hilarious with his friends.

I'd probably try to do Ryuki or maybe Fourze after it finishes. As opposed to 5ing and 1ing with Blade, W, and OOO.

I haven't done any, mostly because I suck. I have a hard time nutting stuff if I don't do it right after I've watched/played/read it for some reason, but that's an easy fix. We could probably get all of Heisei covered before long, though some shows would be a bitch to rate. Amazing and terrible stuff is easy, but a lot of KR falls under "really good but has significant flaws" for me. I feel like I want to rate some stuff higher because I love it, even though I know it's problematic. Like right now, my first instinct is to 4.5 Fourze, and that's probably not right.

I think anyone here could have gotten those 3 :laugh: I'm pretty transparent about those.

Right now I'd give Fourze a 4. I love it in spite of its flaws. Go-Busters and Fourze are special to me, for a reason everyone knows. Probably what makes me want to give it a 4, when it probably deserves a 3.

I'd give my top 5 fives, just the nature of the beast. There's a couple 4s. A 3. A 2. And OOO~

I have two 2s. I don't think anything else goes lower than a 3.5 for me.

When I review stuff, I try to treat everything as a 3 to start off with. When it does stuff really well, it gets more points, when it does stuff badly, it gets less.

But when I have a strong emotional response to something, like I do with most toku, I pretty much start with a 5 and try to rationalize away as many of its flaws as I can. :laugh: It just hurts a little to score something that special too low. There are shows I think absolutely qualify as 5s, even without my biases, and there are shows I'd struggle to justify my score for.

I think Fourze is really, really good, and I also think it's really flawed. So I guess it'd be hard to score well even if I was less enamored with it. I don't feel like those flaws get in the way of the great stuff being great, but there's still plenty of stuff that makes me want to throw things at my monitor. End game stuff is important, but it's hard to see myself scoring it lower than a 4.

I'm honestly curious if one of your 2s is one of my 5s. Since my 2 is a 5 for you ;)

Nah, it's D-D-D-D-D-Dikkkedo. I have a lot of love for parts of Decade but I think the show is a train wreck, overall.

I'd have to think about whether that 5 is a 3.5 or a 4. I definitely gained more respect for it when I re-watched it to gif. I think I was really, really frustrated by Leangle stuff, and that had a big effect on how I viewed the show as a whole. But it works better when you know where it's going, and while I still wish it'd been resolved sooner, it feels like less of a travesty when you haven't spend weeks raging over what's been going on. :laugh:

Kabuto probably is a 5 for me, even though the Dark Cooking arc is one of my least favorite Rider arcs ever. I really love that show. I think it's my #4, I'm still working on my list. XD I'd have to think long and hard about how to score 555, because my final score would be different if I didn't take Paradise Lost into account. I just can't justify (so hard not to make a justifaiz joke) a 5 for it without it.

So, so much of the 555 cast was in other toku. More than any other show, I think. That's partially because Kiva was like a mini 555 reunion, but they were in a lot of other shows too.

It's also technically illegal just to be drunk in public, but they don't normally punish you unless you cause damage. Just throw you in the drunktank until your inevitable morning hangover.

We're okay about being drunk in public. Even carrying a bottle while drunk is safe enough. Just don't think about putting it to your lips and sipping. Instant fine. :sad:
