The story as I remember it doesn't fit with the Faust story. I wish I could remember what it was. It wasn't a 5 star film but it was suitably weird enough to want to see it again. My most vivid memory is of the little figures going about their clockwork motions behind a glass display. The visitor was drawn into the crazy puppet-makers world but slowly became aware of the danger. There was something about a clock, too. Or a time piece. I have such a shit memory for names of films. :(

The visitor (I can't recall why he was there, to do a story on the artist maybe) became attracted to the woman. I think it may only have had those 3 people in the whole film. I've been using Chrome most of today and it's faster than the fox. The copy is where the paste should be so I've goofed a few times and it's only got American English (irksome) but it's nice to shoot the shit in a different browser for a change.
