I love the voice for Wild. It's just so different from every other sound effect! I was really hoping that Wild used the entire suit just like King Form. I was scared because I knew there was a Wild card, but it does use them all ^___^

The entire suit should come with the Wild Slashers =/ It's not fair. His rouser comes with a bunch of great ones, but the only real card the Chalice Arrow comes with is Reflect. Whoopty-dan-do. Same with the Slashers. Just has the Wild card.

The Chalice Arrow seems like it could be more fun as an RP toy, too. =/ I guess it makes the Blade RP toys less tempting, at least.

The second card isn't King of Diamonds. It's 8 of Clubs or 10 of Diamonds. Father Hirose is Giraffa.

I like that it let's Hajime return to himself. I like that it uses the entire suit, so it's basically his King Form. I know you said you didn't like it, so maybe something will change about it. It's very possible. It just debuted, after all.

I think you'll actually have a lot more reasons to like Wild Form as the series progresses. It's used with some good story stuff. I dislike it for purely aesthetic reasons. It's probably partially because I love Chalice's design so much and it would've been hard to improve on it, for me.

King Rouzer is worth it. Rouse Absorber is worth it, for how cheap it is. Garren's Rouser is awesome, even if you don't get all the cards.

To enjoy the Chalice Arrow you need the belt, since it's screen-accurate. Hajime's role-play toys are the least worth it, yes.

I like that it's gaudy, tbh. I am aware that it is gaudy, though XD

cdisplay is the best one. also, if you press p while having a comic open, it'll bring up a pop up that shows all the pages in the comic, so you can easily navigate through it if you need to.

Gills and the G3 figures are pretty tempting, but Agito isn't really a character driven series, so I think they could be easy to avoid. Hibiki toys are pretty cheap, or the SH stuff is anyway.

Phoenix is overpowered and boring. Rider final forms are overpowered but not anywhere near to the degree that Phoenix is written to be. Kuuga could destroy the earth, but not, oh I dunno, UNIVERSES :mad:

I think a lot of villains tend to be OP when they're first introduced too, for similar reasons. The hero has to become more powerful in order to beat them, it works out pretty well.

I love Riders walking through attacks too. One of the quickest ways to make someone look like a huge badass.

I really do think I would have been happy just to have that Taka, Kujaku, Condor set. It was cheap, but it just wasn't cheap enough to justify having them and no scanner.

If they weren't so impossible to get, they'd be a great thing to add on to another purchase. Just seeing so many together feels sort of surreal with how much people have been struggling to get stuff.

Yellow is my favorite right now, but I'm less than 10 minutes in and mostly it's been lots of fighting. Just really like her suit actor.

Pink is annoying, but she is pretty kickass in battle. And Yellow is even better!

Green is awkward and weird, but I think he's cute.

I'm not sure how I feel about the key thing. Seeing the other forms is so awesome, but the keys themselves look kind of goofy.

All in all, first episode was super fun and I'm psyched for the next one.

I'm not sure if the space battles are going to be typical of the show or if it was just a first episode thing. I thought it looked really cool but if the show used CG all the time, it'd bother me.

The first episode's been subbed, by the way! It's soft subs though, so you might want to wait, if you were going to watch it. Over Time did it, I think those guys share a Hyper Zecter with Allen.

I tried to beat Bart with Light, Snow, and Vanille this time. Got my ass handed to me. Seems like you can do the fight without a SAB but you have to bring a SYN.

Switched in Hope, obviously. Need the second MED, too.

Light/Snow/Vanille is an interesting team! I've been messing around with Vanille/Snow/Sazh right now, I'm not sure if I'm going to stick with that group, though. Tried to fight Juggernaut and I got my ass handed to me. Seems like you've been making really good progress in XIII!

This guide's fascination with Light/Hope/Fang puzzles me more as time goes by. Fang has Slowga and Curse. Um, I need Dispel, DeProtect, DeShell, and Imperil. Vanille has those.

I need En-spells, Bar-spells and HASTE. Hope doesn't have 'em. Sazh does.

I'd forgotten about that! Just been a long time since I've played through that part, I guess.

Sazh is definitely my favorite Synergist. I'm finding that Snow makes at better SEN than Fang does, even though I like using her. I'll experiment some more with teams to see if I can't figure out a good Juggernaut strategy.

Hurricanger (Ninja Storm) doesn't have the greatest mechs. I'm all for non-standard formations, but having one make up the whole body and an arm is just bad design, imo.

The other two are the head and the other arm. Then the 2 extra guys form boots and arms, iirc. *sigh*

Kakuranger

Gosei Great is FANTASTIC. Snake making up the waist and thigh of the other leg is pretty unique. It can slither, too. Everything past that is a mess. Datas stands on his head and attaches to the back and it becomes a trophy wall of Headders. Gosei Ultimate costs $250 roughly to get here, is just a big grey ship and a giant headder. Makes a backpack for Gosei Great. Knight's mecha are OKAY, but nothing spectacular. Gosei is probably the most inconsistent line. Usually there isn't something so good mixed with stuff that's so bad.

Obviously love Go-Onger, too. It's a clusterfuck, but they're Pokemon. They have personalities.

Geki doesn't use every mech in the ultimate gattai and the Wolf just replaces a leg and sits on top of Geki Chopper's mech.

Boukenger feels so GENERIC to me. It's construction/archaeological equipment and is bland, to me.

Magiranger mecha look great from what I've seen of the line. The dragon/knight mode for their main gattai is genius. Rival Shinkenger for having triple-changing mecha. Plus, the train mech is really cool to me, for obvious reasons.

Dekaranger is so/so. I like the bike that combines with their original gattai, and it's fun to see a transforming base. Reminds me of the Voltron castle I had/have. I probably still have it.

Abaranger. Points for originality, but I don't like piecemeal gattais. 2 and 3 mech combinations, EH. Little burndt out on dinosaur stuff, in general.

Gaoranger uses die-cast, but over time it becomes that floppy diecast like Voltron suffers from. I don't even know how many Gao animals there are, total. I'm fairly sure there are even more than got used in the American port. I can't hate on auxiliaries that just attach to the main mech (I do own the DaiTenkuu bunch, afterall). I think I prefer the secondary main that uses Gao Gorilla more than the base form.

Really like the Red form of the Timeranger mecha. It's cool that it can swap arms and legs, but the Blue mode that uses the girls as the legs is just ruined by the skinny blue legs that extend to make it happen.

GoGo Five's formation sequence is cooler than the mecha themselves. They actually use hydraulics and Green's mech to air lift pieces. Is Mars 5 from GoGo, too? If so, I like the walker mode more than the gattai itself.

Gingaman's mech are.......bad. They just don't feel very inspired. I dislike ones that use a similar mold for both arms. It feels cheap and effortless. The red and blue mechs they got later are BEYOND generic.

Megaranger. I really like their mech that uses the rocket. I can link if that's too vague ;;

The upgrades for Carranger feel so play skool :( Their original mech isn't tooooo bad.

Oh Robo isn't bad. I like how the Sphinx and Bull pull the Mao statue and Easter Island tiki. Not usually a fan of mechs just forming heads, though. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE The Blocker Robos. They are so simple, but I'm just drawn to it. That they drop on top of each other in the formation is cool, too.

Kakuranger has wings, mang <3 The one that became the Shogun Megazord is cool in spite of itself, too.

Dairanger and Zyuranger......nostalgia, I guess. I guess.

I haven't really looked at stuff pre-Zyu because I imagine it's hard to acquire. Sort of like the Showa era of Sentai, to me. I guess.

There's actually a large amount of Pre-Zyu stuff that is subbed. The problem is that most of it isn't completed. This is the same problem with most Showa stuff too. Showa tends to be really episodic though, so older Super Sentai might be the same.

Ones that I know are finished are Battle Fever J, Bioman, Maskman, and Jetman. Liveman was maybe 8 episodes away from being done last I checked.

Time to look up some mecha!

Gosei Great looks really imposing. For some reason I really like its feet. Gosei Dragon reminds me of Dragredder. Now that I type that I feel like that's come up before. I like how it forms too.

I like the Pokemon aspect of Go-Onger too. I am really curious about how they pulled off making RPM so grimdark with mech like that. Even without voices, they have a lot of personality.

Gekiranger does some interesting stuff with how mechs work, right? I feel like I read they had some sort of spirit animal connection with the mechs, or something like that. You may have been the one to tell me this, even.

I like DaiVoyager. He just looks like such a tank! Can imagine it taking a blow and not even flinching. I can see what you mean re: the general generic feeling that Boukenger mecha have, though.

I've been really interested in Magiranger lately. I haven't seen a ton of stuff from it, but I know they have a unicorn mecha. That is all I need to be happy! Had to look up the train mecha, but I think it's awesome now that I've seen in. Not crazy about it lookswise outside of the train mode, but the fact that it's a train (and they presumably fight with it) is awesome enough on its own.

DekaBike Robo looks really awesome. ; ;

I actually think the idea of all the different combinations that Abaranger has is really neat, but I'm not crazy about how most of them look. I do like KillerOh, a lot. A lot of them just look very pieced together instead of a cohesive design. Lots of nice colors, too.

I'd have to say that GaoKing Double Knuckle is my favorite Gaoranger combination. Using a lot of diecast on mecha seems like it'd be problematic, especially with something where there are so many combinations. I don't actually own mecha though, so these problems might be imagined on my part. I'm thinking in terms of smaller scale figures.

The skinny legs do look really off. I find jet based combinations really appealing for some reason. I think it's just the basic idea of the pieces flying together. There's something about it that feels very natural to me. I really like TimeShadow in both modes.

Does Go-Go 5 have train mecha too? Looked like it when I was glancing at stuff. I couldn't find a good formation video, I keep getting toy stuff.

Gingaman definitely does not have very visually appealing mecha. :( I dislike a lot of the individual mecha especially. GigaPhoenix kind of has the skinny legs issue too, though not as bad as with the Timeranger mech.

Did you mean Mega Voyager? It looks pretty cool. I really like Super Galaxy Mega.

Most of the Carranger I'm looking at seems very clunky. Not seeing pictures of its final mecha, though. VRV Robo looks like it'd fight really awkwardly. Those legs just don't seem to fit with the rest of it.

I looked at OhRanger Robo and all its different heads a while back, I can't remember why. I think it's really neat, I like Buster OhRanger Robo too. The Blocker Robos are really neat, OhBlocker seems like it'd be fun to watch fight.

The Juushou Fighters are so badass looking. ; ; I just love weapons. I wonder why they haven't done more mecha with wings. It looks really good.

Dairanger designs > Zyuranger ones, for me, especially the Thunder Megazord. My view of MMPR is definitely nostalgia influenced, and I am pretty okay with that. The show definitely made an impact on my interests, and I don't want to forget that.

Usually, I'd just call them by their last name or just a composer....but there's two of them and it's making the wording a little more difficult. I didn't even think of that, considering I'm going to be running into the same problem with the next post too. :(

I saw season one for a meagre �3 so I grabbed it. The character designs for Joker, Bane and Freeze are awful, truly awful but after about 4 episodes it started to grow on me. It doesn't have Kevin Conroy and the music sucks and it has the worst opening credit sequence I've ever seen but I'm still watching. Can't fathom why. Catwoman episode was good. The backgrounds are good. And they did manbat again. Why? It's just about worth what I paid for it so far. I'm only half way through.

It's got some good voice casting though.

Clancy Brown as Mr. Freeze. I think I just have a fan thing for that guy. He's got an awesome voice and is a brilliant villian.
There's also Ron Perlman, Rob Englund, Homer Simpson, Patton Oswalt, John Laroquette and that guy who plays the Mayor on Family Guy.

The theme does blow. It's The Edge. Why? Are they trying to remind us of his input to the Schumacher Batman franchise?

It does drag a bit. With a little custom work and some editing of tracks, you could get a pretty impressive piece of work.

My standout tracks are "Overture", "The Son OF Flynn", "Recognizer", "The Game Has Changed", "Adagio For Tron", "Rectifier", "C.L.U.", "End Titles" and "Finale".

It's got some great bits that remind of old Basil Poledouris, John Carpenter and Vangelis' Blade Runner.

65? You bastards! Both seasons 1 and 2 have 28 episodes each here. Combined that's 56, so I'm missing 9 episodes somewhere. That depresses me. :sad: When Robin came into it it got all kiddy friendly. That didn't get a release here. It was on Cartoon Network but didn't make it to disc. No Justice League or Batman Beyond on disc either!

I did see the Batman Beyond movie though....Return of The Joker or something.

That was pretty good.

I'm thinking I might try out some more of the WB's Superman though.

I really liked what I saw.

My standout tracks are "Overture", "The Son OF Flynn", "Recognizer", "The Game Has Changed", "Adagio For Tron", "Rectifier", "C.L.U.", "End Titles" and "Finale".

It's got some great bits that remind of old Basil Poledouris, John Carpenter and Vangelis' Blade Runner.

Am on Adagio For Tron now, it is good. That's 2 so far that have stood out. :D

Taking of Ridley, his Alien prequel has morphed into a standalone sci-fi movie. Gone are the Alien bits and added are some new "exciting" things, apparently. So it's not a prequel anymore.

You'd need to know the Directors Cut pretty well to see any real difference in it and Final Cut. I'm sad enough that I did notice some. Some scenes are trimmed, there is less waiting and overall it moves at a slightly quicker pace. I bought myself the 5 disc for my birthday when it came out, so far the only one I haven't watched is the work print. The unused footage is great. You'll like it. :D

Oh, I'm very familiar with the differences in cuts. I'm as equally sad when it comes to nitpicks and stuff like that. I think it helps that we attended film school though, so we pay closer attention to pacing and editing and stuff. Technical stuff in films drives me up the wall sometimes, that other people don't notice. It's pathetic that it does that to me. :p

it's all right, I guess. I really don't like it compared to the TAS.

It's got some good voice casting though.

Clancy Brown as Mr. Freeze. I think I just have a fan thing for that guy. He's got an awesome voice and is a brilliant villian.
There's also Ron Perlman, Rob Englund, Homer Simpson, Patton Oswalt, John Laroquette and that guy who plays the Mayor on Family Guy.

The theme does blow. It's The Edge. Why? Are they trying to remind us of his input to the Schumacher Batman franchise?



Yeah...there's a few times it doesn't work very well.....but also trying to avoid repetition.

Wasn't there a chinise Elisa Maza in that too? Why couldn't Adam We have done voice work in the DCAU?

How's the Harley in that? We got one of her songs in that comics and cartoons mix tapes but other than that I don't know all that much about her.

Michael Rosenbaum was one of the best reasons to watch this show.......that and John Glover. He was pretty good too.

The only episode I watched this year, was called HOmecoming, because it made a few lists for best TV episodes of 2010. It had Braniac and Clark finally in his geeky raincoat and glasses getup.

Besides that it wasn't that great.

The big problem with Smallville is the fact that it's a prequel series that gave Clark all his powers too quickly and then kept him in a state of not being Superman for about 5 years. Shoulda developed the mastery of powers slower, especially with all those episodes were Clark looses them for half a season for no reason.

It has had more than it's fair share of shit episodes but I stuck with it. Brainiac was good. Kara was shit. There is more but I don't know how much would be spoiler for you guys. I kept looking for tiny holes in the Kent barn (think about it).
