That's why I haven't played around with deep web, even though I'm normally curious enough to want to experiment with stuff like that. It seems designed to have you stumble on horrible/illegal stuff, and it doesn't seem to offer much the normal internet doesn't aside from greater anonymity and the ability to buy non-prescription drugs.

think of it like this: the whole of the internet can be likened to a deep ocean...when you do a google search, it's like scraping a large net along the surface...you're getting everything near the top...there are thousands of sites and resources that have literally sunk to the bottom and are very difficult to find with you conventional net/search engine, so you need a special search engine/software...a deep sea sub, if you will, to get to the rest of the web
