It's funny to see the roles I need to develop for the final Mark. Snow as a SAB? Vanille as a SEN. Like I said, it'll be fun to hear her taunts.
I'm not going to have an ego in this. I'll try my A crew for the ones that have flexibility, but if I must use Fang, then Fang I shall use.
Vanille tanking is especially interesting to me. If it wouldn't take so many days of grinding, I'd be tempted to try it out now.
Mandi, you guys are all experts.
I'm just a beginner.
I'd get lost convo'ing with you guys about KR.
Plus having to explain stuff to me constantly would pro'ly get on your nerves.
So, I'm bowing out until I'm................better equipped if you will.
I love explaining this stuff to people. Neg can vouch for me there. ;) But I don't want you to do anything that's not fun for you.
I still don't think of myself as an expert. I have pretty good Heisei era knowledge but there are some big gaps for me when it comes to the Showa stuff.
Last time I made her a COM. Mainly just because I wanted her to actually benefit from En-spells.
It wasn't pretty.

Those look much nicer than the Heroclix stuff! It gets damaged so easily.
I'm not very good at crafts, but I've thought about trying to do some papercraft props for my toys. Things like vending machines. I frequently see the patterns for them! I'd probably need to get thicker paper for it, though.
Diana totally would be like that.
Cardstock works for me though depending on what you're making some things can get by with regular paper.
I've got a bunch of easy papercraft props including vending machines and arcade cabinets if you want 'em posted here or zipped.

Well, Doc that mix I'm making for you :erm: For some reason I thought was going to be one of the easiest tasks ever.
I was so wrong. SO WRONG.
I intended to throw on the 3 Ravenous remixes. Only 1 remix made the cut. I ended up compiling almost 4 hours worth of music and had to cut it down to 2 discs about 65 minutes each.
I'll throw the other 2 remixes in a separate folder. :)
I think I'm gonna get some shut eye now, but I'll arrange the track listing and re-tag everything, make a cover and have it uploaded pretty quick within the day.

I usually check out the things you post in the "what are you listening to?" thread and it more often than not appeals to me.
The only thing I don't really get is rap, except NWA and some Public Enemy. Half of Apocalypse 91 ... The Enemy Strikes Black is great. The bass alone in 'Nighttrain' is scrotum scaring through a good set of speakers. The best of NWA is a great album. I love it.

I heard Katy Perry for the first time today. I was browsing in HMV and it was on the speakers. It made me want to kill. I asked the guy next to me, "What is that shit?" And he knew. Does your HMV have an instore DJ booth?
You should have hurt him/her. I only recognize one song as being Katy Perry and it is irritating.
There's one DJ at the local HMV that always plays the good stuff.
He'll have Depeche Mode, Primus, NIN, Portishead......I should approach him one day and thank him. :)
Dr Faustus
02-16-2011, 08:11 PM
Does your HMV have an instore DJ booth?
No. I think the people at the counter just pop a disc in. It's usually what they have placed at the front of the store, so you'll hear it and then buy it.
Portishead would be good browsing music. That would have kept me in the store longer.

Is just a regular HMV?
I only go to the Megastore. More impersonal and it's easier to go about your business without as many people running into you.
errr....there's one or two of the little HMVs around here. I don't like them. Too small and it means I have to into a mall to get to them. It is usually just the counter people putting in their favorite new bubblegum hit or the SUPER i'm so indie electro-rock.

that's actually what True Romance ripped off .
The true romance title is called "You're So Cool" by Hans Zimmer.
THe one on the mix was actually used in "Badlands".

I'm pretty sure legit info on Blogger isn't necessary unless you're using adsense. Assuming you have no interest in that, but even then, you don't need to have a public profile.
If you do use Blogger, I recommend using Statcounter with it, because it's fun to see where visitors are coming from. I get a surprising amount of traffic from Japan on my blog, which makes me feel awesome. ; ;

Cuckoo, here's a run down of how I got along with disc one.
I've played it through twice in entirety and then selected individual songs. Overall, I'm liking most of it. A lot.
Very glad to have been the reason it was put together.
Iv'e played the second disc once just. I'll get onto it again in a little bit.
01 Clarence a go go. Loved it.

I make sure I have a 1st and 2nd track to open the discs and a last and 2nd to last track. After that I just keep rearranging them until it sounds like they should be playing back to back from each other.
02 Loved it. Reminded me of Jesus & Mary Chain crossed with something else that I can't place. Will seek out more.
there is no more like this. This guy composed the musical score for season 7 of Buffy. Which is nothing like this song. It is an extended version of the "Terriers" theme song.

That song is from a great album called "Late Night Cinema".
I might also recommend "The Holocaust". If it's the actual vocals that bothers you, they re-released "The Holocaust" as an instrumental album too. :)

Interesting. Instrumental hip hop. I don't hate the genre I've just never found anything other than what I said the other day that has reeled me in. That song on disc one is the exception. I will def seek the album.
I do love getting new music that has slipped under my radar.

I don't know shit about my ancestors other than they probably wore kilts and likely lived in a dungeon. I'd think they stalked the moors at night and did humourous things with bagpipes.

I think you're probably looking for a less pain in the ass way to do this, but you can manually change the date on posts. Just click post options when you're editing or working on the post, and set the date and time for whenever you please, even the future~

fantastic, isn't it?
Amazingly good. I foresee this album getting lots of plays over the next few weeks. I worked through your second disc before I put V Snares on.
Here goes:
01 Great. I loved the lazy weathered voice style. I'll seek this out.
02 This was okay.
03 I love narration if it's done right. This was. Is it from a film or something? I'll seek this out.
04 Kind of average.
05 I like Puscifer. Has the TOOL influenece a lot. I really should get their catalogue.
06 Albarn remix was cool.
07 Liked the hillbilly rhythm this had. I'll seek this out.
08 Meh.
09 Is it Herrmann's long lost Russian son? Fantastic. Need more of this.
10 Syd cover and I really liked it. Good job.
11 The one that sounds like Iggy pop. I've heard this some place before. Maybe it's used in a TV advert and I've heard it a friends house. It's a "put on in the morning when the sun is shining" kind of song. Liked it.
12 I like Gabriel. This was good.
13 Meh.
14 Zimmer. Meh
15 The only one that gets an actual thumbs down but it's at the end so I can easily leave it off the play-list.
Overall, not as good as the first one. The first one is like one of the best comp albums I've ever heard. No filler.
Second one didn't grab me by the nuts quite as much but what I did like I will seek out more of.
Thanks. :D

I first heard this on the episode of Smallville that Jon Kent dies. Wonderful song.
14 Zimmer. Meh

I'm farming Tetradic Crowns and Tiaras to make Sprint Shoes. The fight is easy, so it's just a matter of time. Just need one more, anyway.
I used Snow, Fang, and Hope for a little while and it was pretty fun. I'd prefer to use Snow as the COM, but Fang is only a lvl 1 RAV and I don't trust her to Launch enemies instantly like I can. So, I made her the COM and controlled her.
Some of these mission descriptions are sad :( This isn't a spoiler, it's the entirety of this 'plot' present in the game.

Definitely will start with the simple stuff! Hopefully I can get one to come out decently. Any props will really improve my toy pictures, I think.
I wish I had a Mario toy because I have a perfect response pic in mind for this.
I'll see if I can find someone to take it for me.
I've got a McD's Mario spring guy and one of the new figurines from that boxset for christmas.

Making boxes/rectangles are just like making the net of a cube back in mathematics class in school. Good luck.

Have you ever actually heard them in real life? The sound is so fucking loud. You need lungs of Odin to play them.
You can tune anything with nipples.

If you stick a metal rod into the top of Tom Cruise's head and tune through his nipples you can pick up the communications from the aliens of scientology.
The good part is the metal rod will kill Tom Cruise. WIN! :D

It's a contest where you list a toy you'd want but don't have the money for, and how much it would cost. The guy is going to give one person the money for the toy so that they can get it. He's given prizes away quite a few times before.
It's a safe thread but if you feel weird about 4chan and want to enter just tell me what you want/price/email you'd want to be contacted at and I'll post for you!
How would that help? They'd still get our info!

I like some of Rod's early stuff and the Faces were good but I wouldn't let him impregnate me. :erm:

You hear the Faces might or might have all ready reunited with the guy from Simply Red as the vocalist?
Dr Faustus
02-18-2011, 08:56 AM
That's not going to work. Is it? If there is no Rod or Ronnie Wood it's not the same. Is Ronnie involved?
cuckoo77
02-18-2011, 09:02 AM
No idea.
Didn't really follow up on what's going on.
I think Glen Matlock was somehow involved though.

Yup....Wood's involved according to Wiki.
It also says a monkey will be conducting an orchestra made of dead trout and dirty diapers too.......so we all know how reliabel wikipedia is.

I'm not going to get excited. Simply Red weren't my kind of thing. The guy wasn't a bad vocalist but I can't imagine him doing the old Faces songs live. It wouldn't work. He'd need to smoke a giant stogie to get his voice raspy enough.

Does anyone here like Crass? They were Brit punk band. Not melodic punk but the chaotic tuneless kind. I found an album of acoustic folk covers of Crass songs and it works better than I'd thought. If anyone cares let me know.
