Casey Hudson stated that multiplayer would have no effect on the singleplayer campaign... yet that was a damn lie, as the only way to get the 'best' (and I use that term loosely) ending, is to play the mulitplayer regularly to keep your 'Galactic Readiness Rating' high, to take the maximum amount of troops with you during the raid on the Cerberus base/the finale of the game and you get a extra 23 seconds of footage at the end... here's youtube vid of those 23 seconds (In spoiler box):

Surprise, Dragon Age Getting Multiplayer!

That's right, Dragon Age is going multiplayer. The role-playing franchise is, according to an insider, going beyond singleplayer for the first time, and warriors won't simply face off against each other in combat.

Apparently, dragons will also be playable in Dragon Age multiplayer, giving players the chance to go head-to-head with foes in fire-breathing, swooping-through-the-air dragon form.

The insider wasn't sure if Dragon Age multiplayer was going to be part of a full, stand-alone title (ala Dragon Age 3) or available separately as a downloadable game. It is apparently being developed on DICE's Frostbite 2 game engine (used for Battlefield 3), and even early-on the game apparently looks stunning.

The multiplayer is supposedly an arena-based affair and features player versus environment (PvE) elements as well as player versus player (PvP), as well as humans fighting dragons. Details on what PvE battles entail are scant.

The first Dragon Age, Dragon Age: Origins, was a single-player role-playing game released in 2009. A sequel, Dragon Age II, was released earlier this year. It was also a single-player role-playing game.

I really like watching pilots, but I have too much I want to watch to waste my time with stuff I don't like. If I get past a certain point, though, I will push through just for the sake of finishing it.

Toku stuff has the benefit of real stunt men and actors who know martial arts.

For everyone who watched Inuyasha it dragged on for so long because teh anime was trying to say afloat while the author of the manga put the series on break. So we got several seasons of nothing actually happening until they finally canned it. Luckily the Manga proper has finally been finished and they did a new series to finish the anime story too!

I just updated to Firefox 12 from 3.6 or some such, was tired of it yelling at me. The right click options for open in new window/open in new tab were swapped around, the tabs are now on top of the browser instead of at the bottom of all the toolbars and shiz, and they even moved the home button all the way to the opposite side of the screen. My whole world has been turned upside down.

I think it's way better. Putting the tabs on top is more efficient as it was just unused space before.

One thing USA shows, a lot of other cable shows, and toku does is use very few sets. There are certain filming locations you see in pretty much every toku show. Sometimes, they change them up a lot (the restaurant set), other sets (that boardroom set) pretty much stay exactly the same.

There are a lot of network shows that have elaborate sets or film on location in expensive places, and it just seems like such a waste to me. There are probably not a ton of people watching Smash or Gossip Girl so they can see people walking down the streets of New York, or so they can see a ton of different set-pieces.

They talk on one of the Buffy DVDs about how they had limits as to how many new sets they could have built, and they had to pull some strings to get a certain set made. It seems like that's the sort of attitude most network shows should have, even if they're successful. I wonder why more network shows don't share minor sets. Community films next to Glee, and they're on completely different networks. Maybe it has to do with who produces the show?

I think I'm the ONLY human being on this planet who thinks it's perfectly logical for a trained assassin to go for his usual killing methods (big guns) instead of using mystical powers he doesn't know shit about. FX were more or less shitty, except for his cape. but the film wasn't that big a budget. 40millions. Compared to the 125 millions of Batman and Robin...it ain't That bad.

that and Wynn looked awesome enough for me to pick his look in the movie for a big bad in an RPG campaign.

The animation was okay. Keith David was perfect casting, imo.

I don't remember a damn thing that happened in it but I recall it being neat to look at at the very least. My interest in all things Spawn died when Greg Capullo stopped doing the interior pencils on the comic, naturally. I'm happy that dude is getting something legitimately good to work on now (Batman!)

From what I understand, a semi-recent retcon of the original Spawn made him a pretty disgusting character to have followed. Turns out He was a real dick of a husband. A wife beater, even punched his wife in the stomach when she was pregnant, killing the baby. Being from the EXTREME, GRITTY, DARK 90s, Spawn's whole schtick was to be an "anti-hero" but that's too much imo. Drama for the sake of drama, I guess. I think the comic follows a new character in the role. Not exactly sure on all the details, dgaf right now.

Yeah...I was heavily into image/Wildstorm comics back then. Grifter, Shi, Gen13, Sam & Twitch, Chapel and others were bedtime readings.

My favorite comics of the 90's were Excalibur and Young Justice! And Batman. Always Batman. I collect Legends of the Dark Knight. :D So many of my favorite Batman stories came out of that book.

One thing USA shows, a lot of other cable shows, and toku does is use very few sets. There are certain filming locations you see in pretty much every toku show. Sometimes, they change them up a lot (the restaurant set), other sets (that boardroom set) pretty much stay exactly the same.

There are a lot of network shows that have elaborate sets or film on location in expensive places, and it just seems like such a waste to me. There are probably not a ton of people watching Smash or Gossip Girl so they can see people walking down the streets of New York, or so they can see a ton of different set-pieces.
With sets, there is an issue with scheduling. For your primary sets, you don't want to worry about another show booking time on it.


They talk on one of the Buffy DVDs about how they had limits as to how many new sets they could have built, and they had to pull some strings to get a certain set made. It seems like that's the sort of attitude most network shows should have, even if they're successful. I wonder why more network shows don't share minor sets. Community films next to Glee, and they're on completely different networks. Maybe it has to do with who produces the show?

I remember reading on some forum a lengthily discussion about Sid and how high a life he was living it as a garbage man. One guy who claimed to be a real trash guy said they get paid big bucks because no one wants to do the job and the fact that now they have a robo arm on the trucks to pick the cans up for them means they just fired 1 of the 2 guys and the occupational hazards are almost zero due to not having to left anything anymore.

Female senshi get the shaft in terms of mech usage. They usually don't get auxiliaries, and often make up very small parts of combinations and will be abandoned completely in larger combinations way too often. Really grinds my gears.

In a time where game boy games were usually 4-level watered down versions of console games, Awakening and Metroid II stood out as amazing games deserving of their place in the main lineages.

Ending was delightfully out-of-the-norm. Good stuff, all around.

I didn't finish Return of Samus until like 15 years later. The low tech made it very hard to navigate when I was young, but I powered through it when I was like 22.

I had the Nintendo Power that had maps, but I don't remember using it all that consistently.

I'm not sure how it'd hold up, today. I heard a guy review it who said it was more linear than most Metroid games because of how you had to kill all the Metroids in an area to lower the....lava, sludge? to continue.

I have good memories of it, at any rate.

I haven't enjoyed a good Zelda or Metroid since OoT and Prime. Everything from those games and prior are all fantastic, including the gameboy versions. I also didn't find Return of Samus any more linear than the other side scrolling Metroids. It had a lot of the same "back and forth" mechanics.

Haha, that sucks. Yeah, I got to see Paul McCartney. This is the second live episode they've done--although some of the flashbacks didn't quite seem like they were live. I know the last time they did this, there was a live episode for each of the four US timezones. Were there only two versions this time? I also remember seeing an internet documentation a few days later of all the differences between the takes. It's a kinda interesting concept.

Also, I agree about Twilight Princess. It was far too formulaic--too predictable. There wasn't really a time that I was genuinely scared or uncertain about what was going to happen next. While I was late to the whole video game-playing party, the first Nintendo game I got to play firsthand was Ocarina of Time--the GameCube port. And with each of the boss battles my heart would start pounding, and I'd get all nervous. I can't say I ever felt that with TP (there was a bit with Wind Waker, though). Skyward Sword, on the other hand--I haven't finished it yet, but I'd say they brought back what made Ocarina of Time so fantastic. The boss battles, the storyline, the music--everything.

I do not know. The vids are based off of stuff people create (like ragecomics).

The common theme is that everything is misspelled, the characters look horrifying, and often pychopathic.

Especially Donald (Dolan). I have seen racism, rape, child murder, and much more perpetrated by him.

Miracleman and Watchmen are far and away the best for me. There's stuff like Lost Girls I'll never even read, and that's probably at the bottom.

Books in the states are really expensive because no one's buying them...... which is why the bookstores are going out of business....... The price of manga just keeps going up too.... usual price few years ago was $9-$10. Now it's $11-$15 depending on the size or publisher. The issues of Chi I get are like $14 and they're some of the thinnest manga on my shelf ; ;

Ah... that deluxe release. It's sexy.

I wish they'd make more big volumes for manga, like the Akira ones. There's a lot I don't buy because the binding on manga is usually great and because I don't want to commit to buying that many volumes. Comics are nicer for that, since they tend to be separated by story arcs or stand-alone stories. Plus, I'd rather have larger pages so I can better appreciate the art.

I buy pretty much all my trades on Amazon, they are super cheap. I mostly get hardcovers too, because the binding is nicer and they look nicer on shelves. I usually get regular books off Amazon too.

Only comics I own (graphic novels mostly) are The Killing Joke, Batman: Hush (Volume 1), and The Dark Knight Returns.

I really need to expand my collection.

(Well I do have the Emperor Joker set that someone was kind enough to give out, but that doesn't really count does it?)

Ah, sorry, hope you weren't waiting around all day long for me to respond! I have no idea if all the versions of the live 30 Rock episodes appear on the DVDs. In fact, I don't really even watch that show so much anymore. The first two or three seasons were good, but after that, after watching the more recent episodes I honestly felt stupider after that half an hour is up. Their nonsense felt like it was melting my brain and damaging my IQ.

So it occurred to me, the film version of Superpredators is way better than the album version.
The album version sucks balls because they add some high pitch string-like noise. I don't know if it's synth or actual high pitch string-like noise or a high pitch piano-like noise. But it's just terrible.
