Cold Souls is a 2009 comedy film written and directed by Sophie Barthes. The film features Paul Giamatti, Dina Korzun, Emily Watson, and David Strathairn. Giamatti stars as a fictionalised version of himself, an anxious, overwhelmed actor who decides to enlist the service of a company to deep freeze his soul. Complications ensue when his soul gets lost in a soul trafficking scheme which has taken his soul to St. Petersburg. The film then follows Giamatti desperately trying to find his soul.

Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones sounds like it's gonna be good.....a ghost story more in the style of Heavenly Creatures.....so sad, dark and haunting.....

I Love You Phillip Morris is Jim Carrey and Ewan MacGregor's newest film.....they're lovers who meet in prison. It looks very...um...different. It has the potential to be a very very good film or a complete stinker. A perfect blend of comedy and drama it seems. There's a trailer floating around, but it's from France with no North American trailer yet.

Bobcat Goldthwait's World's Greatest Dad has Robin Williams in it.....a dark dark "comedy"........perhaps comedy is too strong a word........if you've seen Shakes The Clown you'll know what I mean.

Thirst is an Asian Vampire flick........from the guy who made Oldboy. so probably twisted, shocking and very slick.

...and Tree Of Life.....Terrence Mallick is a great filmmaker (The Thin Red Line, Badlands, Days Of Heaven and the not so great A New World). It's tagged as a cosmic epic a hymm to life. It was the last role Heath Ledger was hired for....he never filmed anything though.....Brad Pitt took over.

i'm quite fond of alot of his stuff........but i also kind of not like alot of this stuff too......i really like the 3rd Pirates score, but I'm not too crazy about his Batman stuff, besides the themes then it just gets boring and too MV actiony for me.

The Thin Red Line, Beyond Ragoon, Gladiator, Black Hawk Down and Tears Of The Sun get a listen to atleast once a month (I have too much music for more listens).

To be perfectly honest (and I'm probably going to get flamed for it), I never really got into Battlestar Galactica or even those Star Trek spin-offs...I just don't have the patience for 'em. I love sci-fi, but my appreciation is limited to Star Wars, 2001, Close Encounters, etc., and other movies of the sort. I could never really get into the half hour television format.

I'm not that into TV generally, but I did watch Star Wars the Clone Wars and BSG.
It was actually pretty dark and I found it do be a bummer most of the time.
I guess that's what it takes to please the fans these days, I dunno. I missed the optimism and spunk of the original show.
Most TV sucks, a lot. So when something is half decent people go crazy for it.
It had some interesting concepts you wouldn't see on TV usually.
I wouldn't flame ya for that, the less mind rotting TV you watch, the better....

I am kind of looking forward to that new Star Wars live-action television series that's in the works...might just check out the first couple of episodes if nothing else. I never really got into the Clone Wars series because the movie was so god-awful. But maybe it's just my aversion to the same story being told time after time. :p

The final handful of episodes of SWTCW made it all worth it.

A vast improvement over the movie.
One episode written by Paul Dini (BTAS) kicked ass.
Episode 5 rookies was great.
It's mostly worth watching except I detest Jar Jar.

Bear's great , well worth a listen.
All the seasons are out there @320.
Like I said though for me, Season two soars.
Some of the stuff is so very good, your ears will perk up, trust me.
Not your average TV scoring at all.
