Yeah, they had better not. A lot of people are still upset over TORtanic and Dragon Age 2. At this point all I can say to Bioware is to fuck off. They managed to ruin what would have been one of the greatest games of the year.

but i'm guessing redcola did the shrieks and slicing sounds for Prometheus and some very ambient atmosphere in the background.

and i think they did the sound design and atmosphere for the TDK:R. like the rise (no, not the chanting for "rise", but the sharp and steep build up like they do for cliffhangers at the end of tv shows) and other sound elements.

i still didnt sleep. i couldnt. i stared at the bed and whispered ever so gently. a slight breeze of "fuck you" at the bed. fuck you very much, indeed.
so what did i do? the usual, looked for updates, looked reverse engineering tips, new programs to stream all the things to the xbox.
looked up all the video formats available for the xbox 360, the ps3 and a blackberry playbook.
double checked my software updates and a new toy try out.
all the while, no music.
i pull out the music folder... and it's gone.
vanished as if it never were.
it was on the other external that's currently in use and must'nt be disturbed. another gentle warm breeze flew into the room, "fuck you."
i'll have to do without Angelo Badalamenti tonight. and Agent Coopers tapes.

when was the last time i slept. this same time 24 hours ago... i was still awake and have been since. when i did sleep before that?
with the curtains here constantly closed, it's hard to accurately determine how dark or bright it is outside.

Stumbled across the guys who pre-dated Game Chasers. They're fun, too. In a different way. Different sense of humor. They're more like me. They'll pay if they really want something. Billy and Jay are totally about getting stuff for like $3 or less.

I've been thinking about guys like Jon Tron and Peanut Butter Gamer. Unless I'm missing some part of their "catalogue" it seems like their main thing is making lists. Who exactly are you that we should take your opinions super seriously. By that, I of course mean partnership and such. Money. They have a website they are a part of.

If AVGN or Spoony make a list, we're going to be interested because it's someone that we care about for other, legitimate reasons. You like to listen to your friends' lists. You care to listen to people who have piqued your interest and entertain you. Do you care, if that is specifically what they are trying to base their fame on?

They both have a few reviews, but they are more of the very comical variety, with little substance. Especially Jon's. His reviews of recent games are basically drunken reviews, even if he isn't really drunk, at the time. [Aside, both Jon and PBG are too fixated on the SNES and N64 eras and it hurts them] Point is, their lists outnumber their "reviews."

Jon is especially worrisome because he had to photoshop in the disc art of XIII over another game when he made his """""review""""" of it. This could imply that he's never actually played it more than incidentally to get the footage of THE FIRST FEW MINUTES OF GAMEPLAY. If he has completed it, shame on him for not making this clear. It would only make your complaints stronger if you demonstrated that you are knowledgeable of it. Far stronger than a gag about how you've already sold it (if you had it for more than a few minutes, in the first place). His review of XIII-2 was actually funny until he decided to get self-righteous at the end of it. Parrotting very commonly used complaints against the series, in general. Shallow ones at that. Shut up about girly dudes, already. Everyone likes guys who look like girls. Everyone who matters :naughty:

In one of his lists (Horrible boss fights), he even left in a battle that he had subsequently learned was horrible only because of his own inability to properly play the game. How did he justify leaving this in, at all? "I'm with Spoony, on this one." Go watch the commentary for the finale, Jon. /facepalm

Don't use someone else as a reference, when you have nothing else to back your claim up, especially when you don't even know their complete feelings on the matter. It wasn't even like he needed one more to make 10. THE LIST HAS 6 ENTRIES :mad:

I've been kind of interested in it but I couldn't even sit through the trailer. I stopped it when the tank things started rolling out. It was so dull and generic. Don't tell Sparky.

People who do game reviews when they obviously haven't played it much make me rage. I mean, it's one thing if the game is unplayably bad, and you say as much in the review, but don't review a game as a whole if you've only played it for an hour or two. I have noticed it a lot and I don't even feel like I play that many games.

I guess it's because games are long, and there's a rush to get reviews out fast, but I can often find better reviews in Amazon comments than I can on major websites.

I haven't heard that song in ages. First time I ever heard it was on the radio and I was bothconfused and delighted. I told people at school about it the next day and they thought I was being weird or something. :laugh:

Bud used to rib me about that with the films. I can see his point 100%, it does make perfect sense, as does what you said about games.

I simply couldn't take a bad film to the end. I always said in my review that I stopped it midway. Either directly in in labels as a 'Stop Button'.

It's stuff like reviews complaining about something not being in the game, when it is in the game once you've played it past the first few hours. Or even reviews saying the game would be much better if you could do a certain thing, when you can do it at any point in the game.

I find game reviews to be the least reliable type of review. The least reliable type I regularly read, anyway. This is usually the site I go to to see if I might like a game:

Is it understandable to be kind of scared of him.

If he wanted to just be a comedian about this stuff, it'd be alright, because he is kinda funny, but it's the IMMA MAKE NOISES AND RAGE (and talk like Robin Leech) sort of funny. But then he'll try to get serious like the end of the XIII-2 skit (let's call the ones that are skits, skits).

Always feels like Spoony actually addresses the games themselves and does "in 5 seconds" for stuff he doesn't want to properly review (mainly movies). His reviews are ungodly long and you actually get to see tons of things about them, in addition to the jokes. He explains himself, far more.

One or the other, Jon. Beef up the actual review parts, or stop tagging rote statements onto skits.

Weird that Egoraptor seems to be friends with him, when Ego actually can dissect the shit out of a game. Go watch Sequelitis and not just the Awesome series.

Still surprised that AC hasn't suffered COD syndrome yet. Then again they always seem to make improvements. I like the bomb making a lot.

Can anyone colourise .ico files?

I have one that I want to use more than once but it needs to be a different colour so I can tell what it's a short cut to.

You'll have to select just one section and colourise it but once selected it can be used to make all the colours. I promise it will be easy with the right program. Anyone willing to help a doc?

We have issues.

1. The stuttering continued and happened horribly when I fought the first few enemies.
2. The camera seems to pull out more, when it can, which I imagine will be a nightmare when I actually have more ammo and it has to snap behind Murphy
3. The aiming for firearms felt insanely schizo and the reticle was a tiny dot :shock:
4. I don't think Murphy can dodge and you have to just block, constantly.
5. These women take forever to down.
6. They're the only enemies I've seen across two areas.

Also, there was a glitch of some sort. Couldn't pick up a med kit that was right in front of me. Broke the glass, still couldn't get it. Turned on the lights in the area. Still nothing.

The larger store in the City has those. I'd use that if I could. The larger store are 24 hour as well. I'd go at 2 am if I could. Stroll like a boss through the empty aisles. No such luck here. They close at 9pm. :mad:

Cashier work is awful. You're pretty much in the lowest position at the store, but customers hold you responsible for everything they didn't like about their shopping experience. :laugh: I hated doing those shifts at Toys.

I remember once I had to shut down my register and take a break immediately, because I was a minor and the laws about that are strict. This lady started screaming at me that I cared more about taking my break than her. What....of course I do. I care more about not getting fired than random hysterical women, as a rule.
