Same with the sponge. Always, ALWAYS, rinse it really good.
use hotwater to rinse it out for a minute until there's no suds or bubbles.
hot water will cause all the soap particles to expand and dissipate at an accelerated rate.
when you go to squeeze the hot water out of the sponge, you should see that the spot where your fingers or thumb has applied the most pressure will become instantly dry.

This is how you know you can put the sponge down for the night and not worry about a slimy sponge ever again. :)

At some point, the build up to the bottom tip of the sponge will equal the weight of the sponge itself and cease to drip.
And slowly disperse throughout the sponge and cause it to go slimy. blech. fuckyou.

They used the Optimized Dubois method. So aptly named after the guy (Dubois) figured out a method to keep the "reds" not so intense.
This method, however, drowns out most colors and gives it a very purplish hue overall. Red is faded out and you can still watch the content without too much ghosting from the red overpowering the blue or cyan colors.

this method is also ideal for movies/shows where there is a lot of bright backdrops, like outdoors where the sky is clear and constant.

Polarized projectors exist, but cost your children's arms and legs.

RealD 3D cinemas use circular polarization.
Most other polarization you see, especially in-house use is utilized by linear polarization.
RealD 3D also needs to use a Silver Screen to get optimal effects.
(And a competent staff and management team that won't reduce the bulb levels on the projectors to save money :notgood:)

3D movies not filmed for 3D IMAX should NOT be viewed in IMAX theaters.

Of course, IMAX is expensive to film with in the first place.
Nevermind trying to setup an IMAX rig to film in 3D.
So any 3D movie filmed in IMAX isn't really going to do.
Unless it's an entirely CG movie where the films assets can be re-rendered just for IMAX.

Movies like Avatar and Bayformers: DOTM are not filmed in 3D for IMAX.
Maybe filmed in IMAX sure, but that's not the same as 3D IMAX. :notgood:

All those assholes who went to see every movie in IMAX that was 3D was only wasting their time, energy and money.

1) It's not the same.
2) It's worse because the conversion is more drastic than a simple conversion for regular cinemas.
3) IMAX is so huge, there's so much data for the brain to keep up with. Studies show all IMAX magic wears off after an hour, average.
4) IMAX converts their 3D to have things "pop out" at you more often than intended. This also kills the brain and wears you down.
5) IMAX is a hoax. Complete shyte. Documentaries are entirely filmed in IMAX. Films only get about 30% at the most filmed in IMAX. You do the math.

So...Nearly the end of my training week at my "summer job". Learned how much I was gonna get paid. wee ! I'll be 1200€ richer by the end of the month for a job I like. Didn't destroy anything, broke anyth...ok, I did broke the microwave, but it was already dying. And no, I don't keep the book to myself. but the railworkers comittee, which operates the library is pretty damn good. they buy books by the dozen and just...distribute them to the workers, for free, at their convenance. once it's done, they can sell them, throw them away, burn'em, eat 'em, whatever. Got hold of those from last winter. there are the short stories that inspired the movies "freaks" and Elephant man. good thing :D

Got a free day today (as I will every week of july.) so today, movie time. I'll go and see that spiderman movie. then, going to the bookshop and second hand booksellers. tomorrow, back to job, same thing saturday, then back to STS :rolleyes:

I may even nut spidey this afternoon if it hasn't been done.
