But Holmes and watson ? no. They don't look like the characters, they don't behave like the characters, they don't even think like the characters. Look more like a bunch of not so british dandy's, with a taste for crossdressing as far as Holmes is concerned. THe only character fitting the bill is Moriarty. Even if he is a little too direct in his actions. Where is his most trusted henchman, Colonel Moran ?:notgood:... What's next...Rowan Atkinson to play Poirot ? Jenna Jameson as Miss Marple ? I was skeptical of Jude Law playing Watson, but he does a great job as a redifined Watson. Im pretty sure the casting director wasnt responsible for those two. I would think Guy Ritchie sought them out.

David Suchet (who besides Poirot played the deliciously insane middle eastern dictator in the very Reagannesque turd Iron Eagle) indeed plays a belgian. Never tell Poirot he's french. It's like calling Neg a nice, sympathetic guy. he takes it as an insult.

I don't think so. I guess it's more to appeal to an audience that has seen RDJ and JL in other movies (like those I mentionned) to get a better exposure. surprisingly, I still think that reversing the cast would have easily satisfied me a lot more. Jude Law could pull a far better Holmes than Downley who has a tendancy to play holmes as a 1890's Tony Stark.

Who crossdresses in trains. and fights like Bruce lee (that at least, they got right. Holmes is reputed to be a decent to good brawler. can't remember if it is Savate or boxing he used, though). The good point of these movies is the reconstitution of the London of the 1890s.

ah well. at least they didn't fuck it up as bad as Nispel did on Conan. Mad Movies, a famous French magazine dedicated to Fantastic, Horror and Sci FI movies, listed it as the worst movie of 2011. They hated everything in that movie. the cast, the direction, the plot, the jokes, the score... I can't find it any redeeming quality, unlike the Holmes movies.

Man, I don't think Downey Jr Holmes is anything like classic Holmes. He's perfectly fun and I don't have problems with that take on the character, but I think of classic Holmes as being cerebral, asexual, and without any particular interest in most people. Every Holmes adaptation ever tries a romance between him and Irene Adler but in the one classic story she actually appeared in, Holmes was interested in her mind alone, and future romance tales were just a thing of invention.

The new Holmes stuff has got it right in that he has more of a personal connection to Watson than anyone else.

I don't know. I'm so used to piracy methods shutting down and new ones opening up that it really doesn't phase me. I'm pretty uncomfortable that the US was able to do something like that but I can't say I'm worried about being able to download stuff. Shatner is indeed a comedic genius. I've just watched the star trek 3 review by TGWTG, and I must admit that the KHAAAAAAAAAAN scream is the funniest thing I've seen in science fiction.

It looked good. I think people just need to realize that the original games werent that scary. The only thing terrifying about the old games are the camera, tank controls, and lack of ammo.

I just wish it was like MGS3 and 4, 3rd person with a first peron aiming system. I think actually having the ability to be accurate would justify lack of ammo.

I was at least startled sometimes in the older games. At least once when the dogs burst through the window. A few times in the newer ones.

This is highly improbable. If only because of the sheer, no, insane number of uploaders, whether free or paying users. They already have trouble to identify all members of militias or Criminal rings, and they rarely count more than a few hundred people, but here we're speaking of thousands if not millions of users. all using pseudonyms. they could get back at the paying users, but they need a court injonction.

In other words they'll just shut down the thing, try to have the owners found guilty while Bainwol and his friends celebrate, oblivious to the fact that some other way to share will be imagined at the same time.

The funniest thing is that I guess it would cost less to the copyright owners (and I'm appaled at the fact people still mistake Copyright and intellectual property, which are two distinct things) to imrpove their legal digital offer, lower a little their prices, etc, etc. I'm guessing they'd make more money, and have less trouble. I mean, how hard would it be for them, for every Intrada, Varese, Silvascreen, Emi, Universal, Warner or La la land release to release it also as mp3 on Amazon ?

The only times I get bored are when I'm stuck in a situation where I can't do something, like waiting to see a doctor. I never have enough time for all the things I want to do. If you're bored maybe it's a sign you should look for more things to like. ;)

I'm no good at just enjoying things either, I usually get pretty obsessive about it. That eats up a lot of time.

There's stuff I dislike, sure, but that doesn't mean there's not lots of stuff I do like. There's a huge amount of stuff out there I enjoy, so much so that I'm always falling behind on a show or a comic or something else. I have a massive to read and to watch list that gets longer at a faster rate than I can actually watch stuff. And man, this is the internet! There's so much to learn! I can spend hours just researching something, or waste a ton of time looking at cool pictures or making and sharing gifs. There are sites that will help you learn a language, guides to cooking and making crafts and painting and organization and everything under the sun.

If you're bored a lot, you really should try to develop some new interests, because it means you have a lot of time to put into something and could do something awesome with it. I mean, you said you're not a writer- you could become one, if you wanted to. Natural talent means something but so does putting time into something. If you spend lots of time writing/learning an instrument/drawing or whatever else you might like to do, you will become much, much better at it.

I bought a PC game today. I don't play PC games, ever. I play console. But it was Fahrenheit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fahrenheit_(video_game))and it was only �2. I've wanted to play Fahrenheit for ages now but could never find the PS2 one. I haven't installed it yet.

Being the end of my vacation I was hoping to pull an all-nighter and play more Zelda.............. but instead of getting to that I've been reading more news than I have in years trying to read up on the brewing internet wars....

To avoid an Adults Only (18+) rating, which would've caused major retail chains to refuse to carry the game, most of the scenes depicting sex (one of which is interactive) and other adult content were removed from the North American versions. An exception is the final sex scene between Carla and Lucas, which was not completely cut from the game due to its important role in the story, but was shortened by removing the more graphic shots and most of the visible nudity. Though one shot remains in the edited version from an angle that should have revealed Carla's fully naked breasts, the nipples were removed from her model skin, giving the appearance that the nipples were merely obscured from view thus avoiding any identifiable depictions of frontal female nudity.

Should star Re-playing Knight of the old republic 2 in a few days. My laptop ain't powerful enough for "The Old Republic", but I don't like MMORPG, anyway. First two were a bit too dance club for me. Fishy Aroma had a little bit of Zelda about it. It was best (for my ears anyhow).

Do you have a 3DS?? If you got to the Eshop you can download for free "Zelda Four Swords", but it is only free until 20th February. Now you can play in single player mode, since the gameboy advance was originally to be played in multiplayer only. I have just played the tutorial, but I like it what I played in it. :)

Do you have a 3DS?? If you got to the Eshop you can download for free "Zelda Four Swords", but it is only free until 20th February. Now you can play in single player mode, since the gameboy advance was originally to be played in multiplayer only. I have just played the tutorial, but I like it what I played in it. :)

AviDemux does it also, split at certain time.
Make all settings to "copy" for your avi.
video=copy
audio-copy

then just split.

you can also try VirtualDub, but may need extra plugins.

And if you want to go fancy, avisynth script with write commands, functions and plugins.
