I've been working on a couple projects, because I'm dumb, but one of them is actually really entertaining. It came out of the "write what you want to read about" philosophy, I've been taking note on why I love various things I love as I watch/read them, and I am coming up with a pretty neat mix of stuff! As far as goofy projects go, I recommend it.

I am excited for Woman in Black. I've heard there are some pretty significant changes to the original story but I haven't been spoiled on what they are. Original movie is aces and the play is absolutely amazing. Really takes advantage of the fact it's a play to make it scarier.

I write stuff like that quite often.

Some of it gets done. Some of it doesn't.

I wrote a huge article for no reason on TV pilots and finales.

The ones that were good. And the ones that weren't.

It was great fun to write but had no place anywhere. :laugh:

FRINGE! It fills the mystery void for me, though probably not much longer. Alcatraz is trying really hard, but time will tell if it holds up. I don't really like the blond chick. She's cute, but just blah in everything else.

Whedon had a wonderful knack to somehow wrap all his stand alone eps into the bigger picture though.

Even when the episodes didn't have anything to do with that season's big bad they built on the ongoing character arcs. Good stuff. On Buffy especially every episode from a season has a sort of tone that the others from that season match, no matter what the plot is. One of the only episodes I can think that feels a bit off to me is "Go Fish". Which I still enjoy if only for Xander.

"Go Fish" has a young Michael Scoffield in it.

It feels really weird at that point in season 2. It's like it was written separately from everything else going on that season. It's definitely a weak episode but when Xander first walks up in the speedo it kills me, every time. And when Cordelia thinks he turned into the fish monster. Pretty much everything with Xander in that episode is great.

The choir is superb in the Orchestra versions for Transformers. For Pirates, part 1 is not as clipped as the original release.
I really like how Prague and London Symphony do choir.

Crash about racism was a genuinely terrible movie. I'm not much of a Paul Haggis fan, though all the stuff he said about the Church of Scientology after he left it was really interesting.

The roller coaster thing is really interesting too, but it sounds like kind of a terrifying way to die. Though maybe that's the point? Not like most suicide methods are very pleasant to begin with.

I love ad-libs at live shows. Or even just on live tracks. Live albums are frequently my favorite, and I'll sing things the way they do on the live version when I sing along to them. I always call out the song name with Descendents songs like Milo does.

It feels really weird at that point in season 2. It's like it was written separately from everything else going on that season. It's definitely a weak episode but when Xander first walks up in the speedo it kills me, every time. And when Cordelia thinks he turned into the fish monster. Pretty much everything with Xander in that episode is great.

I am perfectly happy with 320. Whenever I get a flac I instantly convert down. I can understand flac to a point but not everyone should have to deal with the audiophiles way of life.

Some companies (namely Mirimax) are shit at BD transfers.

then I get the urge for that score from a forgotten horror flick nobody remember and that had been uploaded 4 years ago...

and ask for a re-up. that an hypothetical scenario...but it applies. Even if WWP can sometime sound a little...cold, his cavern holds very interesting stuff. for those of you (CM, I see) who don't understand, he basically says he has that many files he can't post. he just adds the year. people PM him with the score's number, and he sends the info and dl links for, most often, forgotten gems from publishers is strictly forbidden around here. I got some neat stuff from his cavern. avoids the eventual drama over "non-uploadable" stuff and multiple request, as basically, the game is you don't know what you will get. maybe you'll get that soundtrack from 1964 you're after, and maybe you'll get something completely different from that same year.
