I find the whole thing barbaric. You can't blame the bull for freaking out. If I were brought into a ring to be tortured and/or executed for the entertainment of others I'd blow a gasket, too. It should be banned.

They are almost perfection. The xbox has better analogue sticks but they are placed unevenly which is just plain wrong. If you could put the xbox stick on the PS3 pad in the proper place it'd be the best of the current gen. I have a fondness for the N64 pad. It was great for Goldeneye.

I dunno what planet they were on or what species they had in mind when they designed the N64 controller, but it most definitely took me forever and an eternity to get used to :(.

No, Super Famicom was the original name in Japan. Ours was called SNES too, but apparently two different models were distributed for PAL/NTSC. I didn't realize this up until now.

I find the whole thing barbaric. You can't blame the bull for freaking out. If I were brought into a ring to be tortured and/or executed for the entertainment of others I'd blow a gasket, too. It should be banned.



They are almost perfection. The xbox has better analogue sticks but they are placed unevenly which is just plain wrong. If you could put the xbox stick on the PS3 pad in the proper place it'd be the best of the current gen. I have a fondness for the N64 pad. It was great for Goldeneye.

I think I like the plastic that the Nintendo buttons are make of better, they just seem not as hard. So make the sony buttons out of nintendo material.

Maybe if it was just a guy who kills it with a sword as quickly as possible it wouldn't be as bad. Probably won't be as clean a kill in the slaughter house but a few few blows of a sword is much faster than who most predators in the wild kill stuff. Most of them do the run up bite a chunch out then wait for the beast to bleed out and in some cases like with Komodo Dragons the bite is poisonous so they'll just let the thing suffer for half a day.

What do you think about rodeos? I'm unsure of what the actual care for the cows and bulls are.

I am against anything which causes the animal distress (mentally or physically) for insufficient reasons. Entertainment falls in that category 100% of the time (when it causes the animal distress, that is). Killing in a slaughterhouse does not, as we need meat for some key nutrients (don't give me that "substitute with vitamins" bullshit). However, slaughterhouses I am told need a great deal of improvement in the humane department (surprise surprise!). As for the pictures that spawned this discussion; I am glad they were circulated, but not the MANNER in which they were (as far as I know, the one that got it in the throat was from Colbert. The way he/his character reacted to it was downright sickening).

the same thing.....i really don't think the animals would prefer to be doing that. Same goes for "Winky The Whales" circus show at Ocean World.

Now, Dog Shows? Sometimes I think that's a different story all together. Some of those dogs look too happy jumping over bricks and through hoops. Maybe it's the treat at the end....or perhaps they have a secret infatuation with getting that blue ribbon. who knows?

With the dogs those types of courses are fun for them because it's an output for their natural tendencies that don't get used because not one is a hunter or trapper and there are not vermin available for them to kill.

Or like the difference between Grey Hound racing and husky racing.
Grey hounds are used as property and the person that takes care of them isn't even the owner.
But with sled dogs they are pets and if the owner wants to win he or she needs to put time into them and endure the same climate as the dogs. Plus the breading of greyhounds makes them pretty delicate while huskies are wolves that pull stuff.

I've made several custom compilations over the years...it's funny how the track listings have changed and evolved with each year. I have two separate mixes; one for traditional horror scores, the other for fun cheesy pop songs. If you're interested, I can dig up what I made last year and transcribe a list of tracks off the CD-Rs.

I was supposed to release my Ultimate Horror collection last Halloween, but I've sat on it for too long and now I've got more tracks than I know what to do with. I'll probably have to separate it into three or four volumes, and I keep hearing new horror themes that I have to add to it... Ugh. I liked it so much better when I had a desk job where I could shoot the shit and compile CD mixes all day. :(

i had a bunch of songs compiled for a 2-CD comp, but never did anything with them.

It was too daunting a task. Instead, I worked on the Rememberance Day comp that I eventually put up.

What I tried to do was make a "party" mix, that had mostly "scary" sounding "pop/rock"s songs with really familiar sounding "score" tracks on it too.

It was probably pretty good, if i finished it. I'm going to try and do that this week. It'll be on my "comps" blog, if it does get done.

It would be impossible for me to combine the two genres of orchestral horror and pop songs onto one disc. 80 minutes is not nearly a long enough platform to play around with. It would have to be the "best of the best" and that's debatable. Anyway, I'll post my track listings later on just to give you an idea of what I came up with in past years. It's far from "complete," but I do think it's varied and interesting.

It's very difficult to do, but I can be done.

Usually, I try to mix them all together like Pink Floyd would do. A continuous play, I guess.

Quite often, it's the final note of one track playing into the next track and the mood.

It's a daunting task, but when you get it right, it's like....well....um....it's like winning.

I suddenly feel like the Meatloaf to Robin's......1 HR Photo guy.

I would do anything for Japanese toys....but I won't do that~

I wondered how it could be called "battery" until I read this definition: "any unlawful touching of the person of another by the aggressor himself, or by a substance put in motion by him." Note the words "substance" and "motion". Now it all makes sense.
