actually quite a bit of music is now being released on vinyl. a lot of music is also being rereleased on vinyl for the first time, like radiohead albums. i still think it's a pretty small market though.

Looking at them now, I think my favorite part of JTHM are the back pages. They don't have them in the director's cut, which is a shame. Have to dig up my old floppies in order to see them.

I do think JTHM has a much better story than people who'd pick up a random issue might think. Was really surprised by issue 6 when it first came out!

I really like W's. The black and the white. Good stuff. Oh that one's colored. It's black and white on Ganbaride cards.

I really like Kuuga's, since he actually starts putting it on his clothes. It's adorable ;;

W and Kuuga are probably my favorite logos too. I really like the Faiz symbol, but it's not part of the logo. There's another symbol in Hibiki that's a lot more significant to me than the logo too.

What makes W and Kuuga's logos special is that they really feel like they say a lot about the shows themselves. W is such a great physical representation of the riders and the half and half feel of the show. Kuuga's uses the language that's integral to the show and was so important to Godai. Actually, OOO has a really well designed logo in that regard too.


Same for me. Annoying to see Asumu and kid Wataru. Of course, it's annoying even when they aren't using kids (besides Den-O. It's justified, and I prefer Kohana to adult Hana. Sue me.)

Kid Wataru doesn't really bug me the way kid Asumu does. I think this is mostly because Wataru himself still comes back for Decade, but it's also because I feel like they just went really against the feel of the Asumu/Hibiki relationship and it seems so against the Takeshi's philosophies on training people to be Oni. Still can forgive the Hibiki world that, since they brought back almost everyone else, righted one of Hibiki's biggest wrongs, and have the greatest FFR ever.

I am curious about why they brought back some actors but didn't actually use them for their world story. Suspect it's due to more of the Decade behind the scenes weirdness.


Kohana didn't bother me, I did think Hana would come back at the end, then because of young Nogami it made it more suitable that she didn't reappear.

There's a lot of behind the scenes weirdness about adult Hana's leaving. The two main rumors I've heard are that the actress had health problems and that she was fired for doing lingerie videos while on the show. Neither one really makes sense to me, since in the past when someone's had health problems they just wrote a break for them into the show and brought them back, and they've never shown any reluctance to employ ladies who have done ~saucy~ things. Maybe it's some kind of combination of both. She requested a break for health reasons, then filmed lingerie videos during the break which pissed off the powers that be. Pretty sure she just does lingerie videos and doesn't do any sort of acting now.

Also, Takeru Sato had a lung collapse while Den-O was filming but didn't miss any episodes. Guy is pretty incredible! Think he'll rival Odagiri Joe in post show success someday. They're some of the few Kamen Rider actors who have other works I can readily recommend. Mostly because they've been in movies I would've watched anyways. ;)

I watched I, Robot a few days ago and saw The Boof.

I thought of Neg's hate for the guy and giggled.

When he first did the two movies I actually thought it was neat in a funny sort of way, since he was the kid from Even Stevens and since he played the same character (and not very well) in two films in such short succession. Then he started getting all these big roles and I was just really confused. WHY. He's not particularly talented, attractive, or even charismatic. I don't hate him like Neg does (probably mostly because of Even Stevens) but I find his success inexplicable.

Ryuki is really good, imo. I loathed the first 4 episodes and the ending is a bit ehhhhh, but I can't front, I had a damn good time for the vast majority of the series.

Ryuki definitely has its flaws, and they're much more glaring in the beginning episodes, but it's a great show in spite of all that. You know, in the Kamen Rider fandom there are a lot of people who'll completely write off a series for a few flaws (or just perceived flaws). I also think people are often willing to write off anything that reminds them they're watching a franchise aimed at children. It's a shame because they're missing out on an awful lot. Really glad I've been able to enjoy just about all the toku I've experienced.

The end of Sgt Pepper's had a loop on the runout groove with that bizarre "Never could be any other way" (or something like that) that went on forever or until you got up and turned it off. It was cool.

Mr. Bungle's Disco Volante had a weird groove in it. You couldn't listen to the "hidden song" unless you manually lifted the needle to that song or bumped the record player.




Looking at them now, I think my favorite part of JTHM are the back pages. They don't have them in the director's cut, which is a shame. Have to dig up my old floppies in order to see them.

I keep wishing shows with lots of significant riders had names to reflect that instead of just the Titular rider's name. I keep thinking if Den-O was done here it'd be like Kamen Rider: Time Force, which would properly elevate Yuuto and the Imagins' importance just by name alone.

Obviously this is the case with Blade, as well. Love Kenzaki with all my heart and soul, but there's 3 other dudes who are just as important.

There's a really big board game section at Toy R Us. Was pretty cool to see it (after I had appropriately combed the TF and PR sections, of course).

Chrome's adblockers aren't as effective as FF. I notice when I browse the same sites on both browsers, FF is the one to actually remove the adds, even after updating everything.

The ovens I have access to are newer by 7+ years so it has a built in cleaning mode. You can't even clean the oven yourself if you wanted to because it would wreck the thing.

It was mostly shit. It was very amateur, the constant location shots setting up the scene etc that the 2 nd unit would normally do were really overdone, and he wasn't a loveable enough asshole. His voice irked me. I did laugh out loud once. As he was going into the party he stopped on the steps and had that moment of realisation after the pipe in the car. He thought, "WTF, I can't feel my cheeks.. or half my face." :laugh:

Wow. That's heavenly. It would be irritating seeing the piss-heads getting up to go empty their bladder halfway through but if you got a good seat away from the aisle that would be bliss. I'd squeeze my bladder dry until my head almost exploded before I went in and buy as much beer as I could carry to my seat to last the duration. Brilliant.

4 was never meant to be a SH game. But then it got drenched in a giant bucket of its lore. It's probably my least favorite of the series, but it's still magnificent.

I love it. I did that MEM compilation ages ago. I love the track order, it was just random but I've grown to adore it.

I do recommend 4. Especially for a normal price. For the most part you could play it without playing the others. You'd miss some references, but the story itself is interesting enough.
