Director Marc Webb—he made (500) Days of Summer—either lacks the chops or the inclination to do that; he seems either too reverent of the enterprise or too scared that he might kill the golden goose to try anything all that new or daring, so we end up with just another Spider-Man movie it feels like we've already seen.

It bugs me when people say they hate anime like it's a genre and not just the Japanese word for animation. If you don't like anything animated, that's one thing, but something about people saying all of a country's games/cartoons/comics etc are terrible gets under my skin. One of the interesting things about Death Note is that Ryuk dropping his note would never have made that kind of impact if almost anyone else picked it up. Light was not only a genius, but had access to police databases and various other means of finding out people's names and faces. If Light hadn't had such grand plans he could have gradually picked people off for years without anyone suspecting anything.

He manages to evade the police and right as he is about to leave, one SWAT cop comes from behind him with a silenced pistol and shoots him in the head twice (never saw it coming). The "cop" then takes the note (never finished the series so I don't know if possession of the note would be enough) removes his helmet and balaclava and it turns out to be the Harlequin of Hate himself :jokerlightning:.

Makes no fucking sense. What would he be doing in Japan, much less no about the note. Not big on Death Note so I have no idea why I would dream it.

First day of work. if it's an indication of what to come...it should be a relatively easy job. librarian work+selling tickets (it's a private library operated by the Railworkers committee, hence the ticket selling for Cinemas, leisure parks, etc)+Cataloguing books. I love it. day passed without even me noticing it.

Other than that I nearly killed myself on friday afternoon. I was fixing curtain rails on my wall when I nearly fell through the fucking window. Would have been a 20m fall with reception on me head. No more second Doc/second futureman for you :sad:

He's played John Munch on Arrested Development, The X-files and The Wire.

I thought it's supposed to be Machete.

I liked her on 30 Rock. I just think she's a terrible fit for the part, and to me it screams that they were just trying to go for a well known actress in that age range.
