Figuarts are basically the best action figures ever, Robbu. Only Sentai figuarts right now are Shinken Red and Shinken Gold, but I think Gokaiger figuarts are very likely.

Individually, the Gokai machines are rather baffling and kinda.....Eh.

I think they pull off a wonderful whole, however.

I'll probably get one after the show has ended.

Okay, I'm not doing this to knock the fight in Episode 2 of Gokaiger. I thought it was really great for what it was supposed to be! This is more to show how versatile Takeru's arsenal is compared to Alata's, since I'm claiming it's limited.

Basically, a gun, a sword, and 2 elemental attacks. Takeru's swords are vastly different in terms of powers compared to the Gosei Sword and the Tensword. Same for Dragon Headder and Miracle Dragon.

I know it sounds like I'm trying to limit Alata purposefully, but if you've seen the show I think you'd agree, and often times Alata uses his cards one at a time, and more often to solve problems than to attack. Plus the headders are used basically to increase the strength of the Gosei Blasters.

More often than not it feels like Alata is just waving his sword around. Plus, I think it's safe to say if that kid had used everything available to him he could have taken out the commander himself ;)

I went for a job interview for a sous chef position and got a haircut :( (a bad one at that).

I hope I get this job. The picking's are terribly thin these days. The minimum wage for restaurants just went up here, so they're not really hiring and are especially hesitant about hiring the more expensive folks like myself.

Some of the other folks who I worked with are having some luck....it's all the managers that are having the trouble getting hired.

My ex-boss really fucked us nicely with that funny he pulled on us out of nowhere.

Didn't know this! I've only seen part of Episode 5, I think. When I was having trouble downloading it. Go-Onger doesn't bother me about this nearly as much as Geki. Mainly because everyone has an integral part in many different iterations of the mech combinations. Geki Violet gets SHAFTED so hard, in this respect.

This is a good justification, and you can argue that they are getting stronger as the series progresses so using the Gosei Buster MIGHT be getting more effective. It just feels kinda heartbreaking to me for them to be going ASSEMBLE! all the time and I KNOW it isn't going to do jack ;; Miracle Gosei Power didn't work, why would your normal weapons :(

This is a good justification, and you can argue that they are getting stronger as the series progresses so using the Gosei Buster MIGHT be getting more effective. It just feels kinda heartbreaking to me for them to be going ASSEMBLE! all the time and I KNOW it isn't going to do jack ;; Miracle Gosei Power didn't work, why would your normal weapons :(

I definitely feel like they don't spend enough time showing them really building on everything they've learned while they've been fighting on Earth. Sometimes it feels like it's a lot of the same stuff, and then when they're pushed to the limit, they show what they're really capable of. That's actually a trope I really like, but it's more powerful when you don't see it over and over again. The occasional moments of brilliance during regular fights are very much appreciated.


This might be part of the problem! I think if they were able to be more creative to compensate for that, however, it would have worked out better, imo.

Yes! I just want to see them trying interesting things, even if their attacks fail completely. More experimentation with what their powers, testing the limits of what they were capable of, stuff like that. Would really help a lot.

I really like being creeped out too. I sometimes deliberately try to get myself in the kind of mindset where everything feels a little bit unsettling. Leads me to look at some really weird stuff!

That Family Guy collage still hasn't lost its shock value for me! The shots with the dog's paws down to the bone are what gets to me the most. Stewie's exposed brain is a close second. One of the few episodes from that I've actually seen!

Feeling that way makes sense! Episode 27 is a lot of fun, but it's more about celebrating the history of Kamen Rider than anything else. Not to say there's not some development, just that it's a pretty atypical episode.

Letting episodes build up for a while is a neat thing to do! I just get too excited to pull it off. ; ;

So, I was on the interstate today, and heard this swerving not too far in front of me. Two cars quickly moved left to avoid the roll of carpet that was in the middle of the lane. I swerved around it on the shoulder and came face to face with this guy and girl who were facing the complete opposite way. They were the source of the swerving.

I gave them the people's eyebrow and pulled back onto the highway, past the carpet.

Two other people had stopped to check on them. Pretty sure they were perfectly fine. No visible trauma and the front wasn't crushed, so I imagine their lower bodies were fine. Seemed like one of those miraculous "almost accidents."

I was looking up Kevin O'Neil because I had a comic years ago drawn by him and all I could remember was it was full of leather-clad weirdos and the slogan "In the kingdom of the blind the one eyed man is king". Turns out it was Marshall Law, once I seen that it all came back to me.



The reason I'm mentioning this is because I also read that Epic Comics published a two issue series pitting Marshall Law against Clive Barker's Pinhead. :shock: Nice.
