OMG!! omg. i finally figured out the problem!
so i've been using AVStoDVD as a backup encoder for small movies like comedies or non-action films.
Mostly live action with no real special effects.
Bad Teacher, Zookeeper (don't really care if the animals are CG :laugh:)
It had problems trying to frameserve the video files.
I've been testing it with various troubleshooting protocols.
You wouldn't believe how much i've been installing, uninstalling crap just to figure out what was going wrong.
I even tracked down beta versions and older versions and did shitloads of troubleshooting.

Then it hit me. Everytime I use CCleaner, the program fuckers up. :smrt:
So I checked CCleaner and remembered I set custom "Included" directories.
Not knowing what the options fully implied (oh English~) I ended up deleting subfolders as well.
I thought it meant SCAN subfolders. NOT DELETE them :rolleyes:

SO, as the assigned temp folders for AVStoDVD are deleted, A2D gets confuzzled and goes apeshit on me, refusing to work.
Like a goddamned child! :mad:

Well now I know :smrt:

And it turns, the problem is fixed. Been diagnosing this for more than a day. Even read up on the support forum.
And nothing. No one's played with the temp folders.

I guess it's time to put my 2 cents in the support forum, lest someone else befalls this same problem :smrt:

I think it works out well for the movie.

Ever since FG went HD, the very first episode focused too much on scenery because of the new HD format.
So far, the newest season, FG outdid AD.
AD did their season premiere as a parody of Little Shop Of Horrors. Was not that ecstatic about it.
FG did an internet meme, so it was win.

Online reivews said the transfer was sloppy. You can see halo rings around the moon when it focuses on the house and the sky.
I didn't see it though. Although, tbh, I never really payed attention to video after Drew Barrymore. :rolleye:
But I assume this one is better than the standard AC3 transfer.

So far.

I've only seen 2 versions:
1) AC3 audio.
2) Dolby TrueHD audio.

2 is better than 1. The video should be better too. But I'll have to read on all the reviews for all the releases for the movie.
By then, the worst case scenario is that someone who bought the movie is a copycat killer :erm:

Do you use another antivirus program too? Sometimes they can hinder each other (even though I've never had that happen with Malwarebytes + AVG [AVG is a hog though]). Try running full scans and see. If you had a trojan sometime recently and thought you deleted it, you probably didn't. They create copies of themselves elsewhere when you try to delete them. I haven't had one to test MBs sweeping capability on it, but that File Assassin tool works wonders on them.

If I remember correctly it will ask you after the restart if you want to trust everything on the PC. I always put it in after a fresh install so I say yes but otherwise if you say no it will do a scan and present you with a load of things it won't recognise. You'll have to tell it to okay them or not. Once you get past the teething stage it's pretty easy on the system and scans on the fly so anything you D/L will be scanned (you may have to initiate this in settings, not sure, can't remember). It also has right click for specific folder etc.

It won't work alongside AVG, so you'll have to uninstall it. :shock: Scary buns. I hate changing from the familiar but in this case I'm glad I did.

Oh I knew AVG would have to come off for it. Actually I kind of like that idea of telling it specifically what is and what is not ok. AVG has a habit lately of telling me stuff has macros and broken signatures but has absolutely no kind of resolve for it.
