Most of them are in the anime download section, but there's also over 300 rock and rap albums in the anime, film and video game music discussion forum.
The rate of posts clearly indicate robots. But it lots and lots of them.
I would recommend immediately turning the site to private, so that new robots can't join, and permaban virtually everybody whose joined in the last 24 hours. A quick look at their profiles will show which ones are good or bad.
After the site's been cleaned, you can always turn it back to open enrollment again.
I left some notes in the spam thread, but just a glance at either new posts or the anime download forum will show the scale of the problem.

I cannot believe how much I love Pacific Rim.

The human story wasn't so bad. It didn't ruin it like Transformers did.
I can watch the whole film without thinking "if only they cut this scene down, removed that scene, and jumped from this frame to that frame..."

Nearly all the characters are well established.
The main characters are given a fancy presentation to their backgrounds.
The others who have prominent roles are neglected for development and we are left to assume everything their very brief, very sufficient introduction.
The two rivaling scientist nerds don't really need anything more than what's been given.
Which is nice because they are extremely loud and chatty with each other.

There's a lot of duality for characters in this. It seems that not just with pairing two people to operate a Jaeger, but literally everyone not only has a "Melding Drift Partner" but also a real life counterpart to their own identity.
There's father-like/daughter-like issues going on, there's worst friend/best friend going on, there's jedi/padawan going on with everyone...
It's like the whole theme of "duality" is really flooding the film in every aspect of character development.
The main characters have so many story parts that they can literally get a comic spin-off involving every single person that has been on-screen for more than 3 seconds.
The rest of the supporting cast don't have much development aside from their co-duality partners in their epidemic "I hate you/love you" script.

The pace ain't so bad, so it's not too distracting to keep seeing everything in two's.

There is a point where everything becomes predictable. Who's going to die right away and who's going to sacrifice themselves.

The only Jaeger to run on nuclear energy was a dead giveaway when they first said it.

I love that Idris Elba freaks out on the research team members that bicker at each other constantly.

There's just really nothing you can say bad about Ron Pearlman in this film. At all. His brief moment in the film was a fun and shining one.
Does not matter if he was in it longer or shorter. His character was very refreshing and unique to the already established ensemble of Rivals4Life duality personas we've seen.

The monsters I loved. I did from the trailers.
The giant mechs are much better in the film than the trailers represent.
The assembly in the beginning is totally worth it.
The trailer cuts the assembly and gearing up by a lot to make it look completely commercial.

Mind you, the film started out with saying the mechs were initially all about commercialist hype as part of the "Save Humanity" project with the Jaegers.
The screen time you get from the film really builds them to be something spectacular and 3D worthy.

I read in an article that Del Toro decided later in the production to convert to 3D since the production flow was allowing the assets to be rendered in 3D in the first palce (instead of going back re-rendering everything to 3D).
Which really worked out nicely.
I didn't watch it in theaters in 3D.
I used "Smooth Video Project (SVP)" to convert on-the-fly (using Avisynth & FFDShow) to pseudo-60fps.
And used my Pulfrich glasses (to initiate the "Pulfrich Effect") and with the two combined, the clarity in separation for the would-be 3D was more apparent that I believed that watching it in actual Real3D would have been substantially more spectacular than any home viewing.

The score was great.
Until my brother called it "the poor man's Iron Man score". :laugh:

The sound effects are amazing. True theater experience would have been mesmerizing.
I had no doubts the sound design would be intensely impressive.

The strongest doubt I had about this genre of giant robots vs giant monsters was that it was intended for American audiences.
Which is a statement in itself is destined for ruination.
Utter shame.
A waste of time.
Another embarrassment to humanity.

I didn't like Hellboy 2 so much because the costumes and makeup were stolen from Stargate Atlantis.
And while some of the giant-ness of the film was okay, it was still not that impressive.
Cthulhu-esque giantness was spectacular in the first Hellboy film.
The Golden Army wasn't so golden or spectacular. It was... "nice".

I didn't have that much faith in Del Toro doing giant robots.
I had faith in him doing giant monsters.

I think it largely helped to notice that a majority of the film is highly "Japanese" in essence.
Knowing about the word "Kaiju" was already known before the film was made.
If you're into Godzilla (Toho not American) and not 12 years old.

But the triplets, the hellbent, revenge-seeking Red Shoe girl, everyone speaking a few words in Japanese, going to Hong Kong (not Japanese but still Asian looking and not White-American), and a fucking sword for the robot.

If only they started with the sword it could have ended with the sword.

The Jaeger's seem to be very slow. Even after you learn how many generations they have gone through.
There's no real mobility and speed, that it's amazing how long they lasted.
But this is quickly prevalent as you see the fights and how each Kaiju is advancing while the Jaeger tech is not (so much).

It seems impractical to leave it all to fist fights.
But with the budget that seems to have come out of nowhere (think about it, even if all countries do work together and all throw money at that Jaeger project, there's still a shitload of budgeting loopholes) because its seems that literally every base is made of marble flooring, the Jaeger's are have millions of parts, operate on primitive resources to function, have very limited capability in power consumption and LASER CANNONS, every place they go to with a helicopter pad is a fucking castle built on top of another castle...

There were a lot of things we were pointing out about the use of money in the film. It's no wonder the construction workers have 3 new job openings for good news ("who wants to eat?").
The richer got poorer and the poorer got... well, poorest.
The world must hate their fucking economy and government.
While they cheered and seemed happy to see a Jaeger fighting the Kaiju, you have to sit and think what the cost in repairs for damages would be after the fight.
Every step the Jaeger takes, is about a week's worth of repairs and cleanup.

They even deliberately wreck your shit. "Let's grab some poor tanker ship and use it as sword."
"Let's grab all these little containers that may have something expensive or some expendable resource in it and fucking smash it against this thing's head."

There is a reason to creating the Jaeger's in the first place: TO SAVE HUMANITY!
Which kind of means saving what little, precious imports and trades & goods they can actually get their fucking hands on, since I imagine a lot of transportation is constantly in jeopardy of not only "god like hurricanes" and the Kaiju but now have to hide from the cocky Jaeger pilots who just want to use something as a weapon that isn't their already depleted, insanely expensive weaponry.

Oh, don't forgot to toss the fucker 50 miles deeper into the city and wipe out an entire football field's length of city when the Kaiju spends a long time dragging on the ground when it lands.

I understand there to be expected damages to the city and all during a huge-ass GODZILLA: DESTROY ALL MONSTERS MELEE, but when you do it on purpose, I would totally hate them and want to move to a smaller city.

The "Wall of Life" was funny. From the beginning.
It seemed like it was poking fun at real life politics where any city wants to cash in on some nonsensical project that seems to inspire the citizens.
I'm sure if there were comics, anime or manga spin-offs, it would venture more into the "Wall of Life" and how some mayors and other political figures would be extorting their city of money for something that is complete shit.

The dinosaur thing was cute.
Come with that idea in high school and everyone fucking laughs at you.

The movie was awesome. I want some Kaiju toys and some Jaeger toys if they fall apart like in the movie.

I really like the BD has 2 DTS-HD Master Audio tracks: 5.1 and 7.1 for, pretty much, all audiences.
While both are 16 bit depth formats, it really doesn't make much difference.
Unless you playback the 7.1 version and downmix to stereo, then you're bound to hear the clipping/distortion.

It's simply magical to have the option for both, since there are a large number of enthusiasts who have 7.1 home sound systems and while a larger portion still only have just 5.1.

I hope this becomes a trend. Because while most 7.1 films sound really nice, not all like to master the audio perfectly and will fuck up your day if you have anything less than 7.1. (such as Tron: Legacy, X-Men First Class, etc).

The end credits were neat. I imagine in 3D they're awesome.
That style seems to be popular now for every sci-fi/action movie.
I remember liking it a lot for The Avengers.
And then a couple other movies did the same thing. Fast & Furious films.

I am definitely going to be buying this film on 3DBD/BD/DVD/Digital Download combo pack.

I saw it the first two times in IMAX 3D and looked fantastic.
3rd row kinda kicked all my senses though. :erm:

Saw it a third time in a different theater and the 3D looked kinda crappy.
A little too dark and blurry at times.
