I don't think his general ideas are the original part (although they are more original than giant robots from outer space or a man who "thwipps" webs).....it's the settings he places the ideas in.......the ideas would most likely appear in a Minority Report setting or something like that, but he takes them to a different unexpected place with out of the norm characters for these storys.....it's really quite crafty.

Island of Lost Souls is a good one...it's foreign...so I'd go with something similarly foreign. Or, if possible something by Jane Antonia Cornish.

Sadly I no longer know how long Lord of the flies is I had a computer wipe-out several months back and lost a lot of stuff. I am slowly trying to rebuild luckily some of my harder to find things I did burn.

Oh and by the way listening to your Adventure compilation series right now budarc very nice. Normally I don't go for compilations preferring the full albums, but this is a very nicely themed, well done sampler.

It's notable as being Richard Elfman's first movie...as well as Danny Elfman's.

The Forbidden ZOne ain't for everybody.....it's an old cult classic from the late 70's (i think)......it's made to seem like a perverted twisted version of all those old Betty Boop cartoons.......Danny Elfman's first "scoring" gig.......weird stuff.

It's shameful I know, but I only really know a handful of composers by name. Even some of my favorite scores I couldn't tell you who composed them. My favorite types of scores are the really unique ones that just scream " I am from this movie and cannot possibly be from anything else!" I despise bland scores that sound like they are from any movie.

I used to utilize as much space as I could when burning to CD, but now, as long as it's 45 minutes or longer, I don't bother. I figure that's a good half of the disc anyway.

It's ridiculous what I have to do... I'm at work right now, so I download all my Rapidshare links while I'm here. Then I upload it to Megaupload, so I can download it from there when I get home. Because it's so much faster, and you don't have to wait 15 minutes in-between each download, and you can download multiple files at once!

God damn, I hate Rapidshare. Fucking 41kb/sec download limit. :-P

Oh...ha ha. Funny story (not really). I was always a big fan of the Indiana Jones movies, so I wanted to become an archaeologist...so at one time, I was a "budding archaeologist," i.e. bud-arc. And I guess the name just stuck. I know, it's pretty stupid...

Tigertail is a long story it has several meanings: I like to tell "tales" through my art, I have a bit of a temper so its like catching the proverbial tiger by the tail, and I had a sort of supernatural experience with tigers (that is the long story part).
