Chrysler Canada Gear (http://buychryslercanadagear.ca/mopar/product.php?i=344)

Good bass. No volume control or other settings. Just an on/off switch.

Your player controls the volume and equalizer.
2.5mm headphone jack, very standard. Should be compatible with most devices.
Unless they have proprietary ports :notgood:

Bass comes out decently. Not very low end range, more about the border between low and mid range bass.
Hold it in your hand, you can feel it.

Depending what angle you hold it, it will sound different

Should be plentiful fun for shit shooters alike.

I'm having fun playing with a new program ^__^

OTL (OldTimer's List-It)

OTL by OldTimer is a flexible, multipurpose, diagnostic, and malware removal tool. It's useful for identifying changes made to a system by spyware, malware and other unwanted programs. It creates detailed reports of registry and file settings, and also includes advanced tools and scripting ability for manual removing malware.

OTL does not make any determination whether an entry is good or bad. For help diagnosing the logs generated, view the tutorial, or ask for free assistance.

Finding so much crap that other programs have left behind after uninstalling.
This was before I started using Revo Uninstaller.
So yay. Hopefully I will see some system improvement.

Should run this on the other computers.

I'm doing manual cleaning. No forum help.
Yet.

Have relative experience having used HiJackThis and other tools.
The Tutorial and Guides are quite simple enough to follow.

Going to finish cleaning, reboot and report if the laptop didn't 'splode

If it all turns out well, next time someone is having issues, I'll ask them to do a full OTL scan and provide the two .txt logs.
After thorough analysis, you'll get a script.
Similar to HiJackThis fixing.
Except it can do much more than HJT.

Cognac, Southern Comfort, and Everclear?

I was thinking along the lines of Calvados, Rhum and red wine. A mixture bad enough to make anybody angry.

But Cognac is a nice idea. Cognac, Rhum and spiced red wine (also called hypocrace. Basically it's a red wine that has marinated with various spices). Would make a fine cocktail.

Square says XI is their most profitable FF ever. That's craziness! Haven't played since like 2005, kind of tempted to see how cheap it would be to get it + a bunch of expansions, but I don't really have the time.

Are the servers even still active?

I met a lovely futurelady at the STS bar last night. Her name was Doc Faustus.

You owe me dinner. Sucking on your trout made me sick.

O_O Lucas'd it? How so?

They went back to the original negatives that had the blue-screen and added new CG effects during the ship in space scenes. And made explosions more explodey (because there's so much oxygen in space that flames ... no ... wait).

The internal scenes will hopefully be untouched aside from the obvious 1080p transfer. It didn't mention those in the video.

:bearclap::bearclap: Right on target. Macca earns most points.

You get a nice range of images, though.

FFXI is still very much alive - Abyssea despite it's shortfalls brought new players into the game recently.

And yeah there's a new expansion coming out also breathing new life into it. XIV on the other hand was such an unbridled disaster of biblical proportions that they're having to completely redesign the game from the ground up. Not even XI required such extreme measures. :p

FFXI's profitability is because it's the only game that they've had a regular stream of income flowing in from via subscriptions, rather than simply revenue from sales of each new release.

Also sadly, Hiromachi Tanaka (XI's main producer and one of Square's founding members) is resigning from SE siting bad health. Damn, first Sakaguchi, then Uematsu, now Tanaka. Soon all they're gonna have left is that hack Nomura. ><

Cat People
Night of the living dead
M
Blair witch
Nightmare on elm street
Last man on earth
Night of the hunter
Psycho
Village of the damned
Nosferatu
Vampyr
Dracula
White Zombie (wrote a whole essay on that one !:D)
The shining
Cabinet of Dr Caligari (I'm sure Doc Faustus Cabinets are creepier)
The Exorcist
The Omen

White Zombie is brilliant. Too bad people often think Romero started the Zombie Thing.

Star Trek: The Next Gen Season 1 is out on blu soon. They've Lucas'd it. Whores. :notgood: It's feckin expensive.
Although shot on 35mm, Next Gen was edited entirely in NTSC on video tape. The only way to make a bluray version is to go back to the original camera negatives and recut everything from scratch. This includes any computer generated assets, which also were rendered for NTSC resolution. Unlike films, and older television shows, there is no 35 master to copy from.
Not that I plan to watch Next Gen ever again.

Caught a matinee of Brave.
I quite enjoyed it.
I think there was a larger saturation of slapstick, but I still chuckled at it.
I thought the climax was actually thrilling, but the ending was of course very predictable.
A given I suppose, but I've seen too many movies anyway.
Even the little boys in the theater were enthralled proving the Korra creators right in that gender doesn't matter as long as the protagonist is awesome.
The gaelic setting and music was nice though put side by side with a similar one (How to Train Your Dragon) I can't say it was as memorable.
I think most peoples problem is the high expectations they have for Pixar. They constantly deliver 9 and 10s, so when a solid 8 comes along (like this one), they savage it.

Wall-E really isn't sad at all. Makes me feel excited and hopeful. It's a great movie. Really well done, and it gave me a new appreciation for the Hello Dolly soundtrack.

If I compared Up to any Pixar I'd compare it to The Incredibles just because I both think they have some stuff with their villains that gets weirdly dark. Can't think of any movies that ripped it off, though I'm sure Vdeo Brinquedo did one.

Pixar's some of the only CG stuff I get excited about because they still put so much into animating it. The choreography in Toy Story 3 is INSANE. There are so many scenes I just watch and marvel at. But handdrawn animation will always be my favorite.

That's dumb. You can have two movies that can make you sad. If you boil it down to just that, you could have just one movie for every genre. Save you some shelf space for sure, but ditching one just for similar themes is retarded especially if they are both great.

I'd buy Up in a heartbeat.

Cars is its own category altogether. When they do planes, trains and ships, I think I'll quit right there.
Generally Pixar is working on a different level than most other movies. Not just CG, not just cartoons, but all movies.
Incredibles, Ratataouille, Wall-E, Up... Each one more brilliant than the last. I'm not even going to get into the Toy Story trilogy....
We're all going to pretend Cars didn't happen. It's a passion project for Lassiter, and he now runs all Disney animation. That, and the first one generated 8 BILLION DOLLARS in merchandising. (Not an exaggeration.)
And yes, he's working on a third movie called Planes...

This one has been posted before...

Haven't seen most of the others. Despicable Me was awesome. Haven't seen Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, but oddly enough I have read the children's book it's based on. They're very different from what I can see.

But in the end, we see movies for what we want to find. So my opinion counts for little.

Astroboy. That's what I was thinking of. Junk yard robots.

Up and Wall-E, people have described both movies to me as the same...

It's about love!

Overcoming all obstacles.

They didn't really say too much else about it.
I'm not falling for it :notgood:

Just like that time everyone said I should watch The Notebook, right after having watched PS I Love You.
And then there were a few other sappy, drama, romance movies I was told to watch...

All of them the same. :notgood:

When "romance" is involved on a large scale, I can't handle it. One movie will cover the entire genre.

It's not like before, Sleepless in Seattle, Just the Ticket, While You Were Sleeping, and When A Man Loves A Woman.
They knew how to make romance movies back then.

You've Got Mail was fun. Updated version of Sleepless in Seattle

Oooh, I forgot about the whole insect/bug craze.

A Bug's Life, Antz, The Ant Bully, Bee Movie, etc.

Animals escaping boredom, their everyday routine, imprisonment: Over the Hedge, Madagascar, The Wild, Barnyard, Brother Bears.
It goes on and on and on. *vomits*

That's too much. One of my friends was heavy into seeing every animated/cartoon/cg movie there is.
I got sick of it really fast.

Shrek, Hoodwinked, Kungfu Panda, Open Season, Alpha and Omega, Ice Age.

I need to go watch Lord of the Rings. I'm going to pms soon >.>

That means you get to experience them for the first time still. :D

Caught a matinee of Brave.
I quite enjoyed it.

Saw it last night. Thought it was good.

It's probably a 3.5 or a 4 from me. A good movie, just not Pixar at their best. Miles better than either Cars. Totally agree people have unrealistic expectations for their movies.

3.5 from me.

I don't think you can say Up is about love overcoming all obstacles since the love of his life is DEAD AFTER THE FIRST TEN MINUTES. (sorry for the spoiler.)

The Toy Story movies are about loss and the inevitability of death.

There was no bug craze. A Bug's Life and Antz were developed simultaneously and released 5 weeks apart. The other movies you mention were released decades apart.

The animals on the loose movies... there were too many of those. (Although Brother Bear is not part of that lot, and shares it's key plot twist with Brave.)

Hoodwinked was okay, but it has a special place in my heart because I got to see an early version with a different voice cast.

No one should ever see the Notebook. Nicholas Sparks should not be allowed to write, and certainly no one should make a movie of his work, let alone watch one.

Junkyard robots? Are you thinking of Astroboy? (a missed opportunity.) Or are you thinking of Robots? (A film that was never going to be more than the sum of its parts.)

There's a lot of bad animation out there. Just like there's a lot of bad horror, a lot of bad thrillers, a lot of bad space operas and a lot of bad comedies. Genre is irrelevant. The results are what count.

I played zombie game today online. Online shooters always make me violent, angry and want to hurt something cute.
So I dismantled Wall-E and melted him down to a stud for anal piercings.

It was weird. After playing for only 2 hours, I felt so detached from reality.
Everyone I looked at, I was hoping they would turn into a zombie so I can kill them.
I even wanted to have a viral grenade to throw into the streets to turn them into zombies so I can kill them.
On the skytrain, I looked at everyone and pretended what their everyday life was and how it would be if they showed up home and turned into a zombie.
What the family or friends would think and do. Or if they lived alone, which neighbor would show up due to the putrid smell and discover a zombie.
Why are there never any flies? :eye: Only in comics and drawings. I can't remember the last time I saw any flies.

Wall-E is my favorite romantic comedy.

One of my friends had a really small appartment. I think the main room was 3x2x2.5 meters. When we had game sessions at his place, setting up the place looked like he was moving out of his place

And sometimes, when one of us had to crash, he was really the best host ever.

He slept in the bathtub. Ahhhh, the good ol' days. :erm:

A gentleman and a scholar. He is welcome on my couch... after I tape up the dog hair...

I didn't find UP sad in the least. Was told repeatedly I would though. Seriously, what the hell is so devestatingly sorrowful about that film? Funny I got. Cute I got in spades. But sad? The only two thematic elements in that picture that were sad ("your childhood hero is really a douchebag" and "you will grow old and never ever fulfill your dreams") are things those in my age group should've already dealt with. I mean, shit, is everyone from my generation prideful, stupid, or both?

I think the opening of the movie is as really sad, mostly because it's a really well told love story. Not so much that they didn't get to go on their adventure, more seeing the person you love die before you and the miscarriage.

There's a part near the end that makes me bawl like a baby, but I'm a big old crybaby. There aren't many Pixar movies without Cars in the title I don't get teary eyed over.

I can't remember what I was watching. But it was a special feature for the Aliens series.
And it did talk about how the concept of it was to be about rape and penetration and "breeding".

They did want the aliens to seem like sex-offenders of the worst kind.

They facerape your face and blow their load down your throat and you do get pregnant from a kiss.

Unprotected sex, pregnancy, interspecies, and rape.

And homophobia too. Since males are getting equally penetrated. If they're not into that sort of thing. Interspecies homoerotic.

Sigourney is the biggest perv of them all.

She's the only one who kept on going back for more.

Basically the alien design looks like a human with a penis-shaped head. With a penis-shaped tongue. Who starts out as a spider-thing that throat-fucks an unsuspecting victim. Yeah...

I guess I like the smell of cheap makeup.

I don't know what to think about that.

Hookers and booze. Hookers and booze. Cheap makeup and tears. Cheap makeup and tears.

It was because when she heard about a rape scene, she thought it was going to be with the alien.
When she found out it wasn't she got pissed. Her reactions in that scene were real.

i mean, it's perfectly logical someone would try to rape her on a planet populated by ex sex offenders that hadn't seen a woman in years. so.. i don't understand her anger

She wanted to have a rape/sex scene with the alien.

for Resurrection, she said if they cut out the sex scene with the queen, she would not promote the movie.

How could that even happen? I mean, unless they got a 9-meter long dildo?

Or I guess they could...you know...scissor, or something (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPhMTdQwiao)... :erm:

I'll bet she had the same attitude on the set of Paul.

"I want Paul to rape me," she would bellow in her Sigourney bellowy voice.
