Lego needs to make a bucket of basic bricks in only Grey, one in black, & one in brown because weather you're making fantasy, sci-fi, or modern wood stone & metal are generally those colors. I've also got several bricks that have faded or discolored over the years.

What does everyone believe to be the best Kamen Rider to start with?

I've been working on a huge post about this but I am watching all of Kuuga before I make it.

I started with Kamen Rider Den-O, and Neg and Dr Faustus started with Kamen Rider W, both of which are good shows. I'd say the biggest problem with starting with Den-O is that it's more comedy heavy than any other series, and the problem with starting with W is that the ending is far above every other Kamen Rider ending that it might set your expectations too high. ;) Either one is not a bad place to begin with.

The series I'd probably recommend to start with the most is Kamen Rider Kabuto, just because I think it gives a good idea of what Kamen Rider is about, and has entertaining characters and good fight scenes. Is there anything in particular you're looking for? Good fights, good suit designs, good toys?

I really do like Kabuto. I alternate between Tendou, Kagaaaaahmi, and Tsuguri as favorite characters. I love the hoppers too but they get way less screentime. Most emo riders ever!

I was rather disappointed with Futurama's new X-Mas special. It wasn't bad but I was told it was going to be 1 hour and a half and that it was going to be a new 3 episode movie but instead of the first 2 holiday episodes with a new regular episode. Walking Dead was on at the same time too.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is just EPIC.

I go through periods where I don't get anything done, either. Been pretty good about stuff, recently, however! The Silent Hill marathon was a success. Wrote the rumbles. Finished Shinkenger and W.

Nothing's kept me down for too long. Was a pissy bastard for only a day or two, when I was expecting it to last for ages. Solved my downloading problems..., made Danger Days into a good album.

KickHopper is the coolest of the two hoppers, but I like them best as a pair. It's kind of a shame that Kickhopper is the harder of the two figures to find, since you could justify owning just KickHopper, but if you have PunchHopper he needs his aniki! I'd feel so sad for him without one, when I see people who just own a PunchHopper I get a little ; ; inside.

I've seen all the 2000+ Kamen Riders but Kuuga, but there are lots of 70-80's ones I haven't seen or have only seen a bit of. Most of them aren't translated in their entirety as far as I know. If you'd like to watch an older one, Kamen Rider Black/Black RX is the best by far. Stronger is also really good, I think you would love Electro-Wave Human Tackle.

As for the modern shows, if you'd like to start with a good series that's serious in tone, Agito might be really good? The subs for Agito aren't as good as other show's subs though, if you get the completed ones. They have a higher rate of grammar errors and sometimes the aspect ratio on the video is off? But they're not bad subs by any means, and they take the time to explain most of Shouichi's puns.

Actually, here's just a really quick overview of the heisei era stuff.

Kuuga: Only seen a little of this one. Really good action, you get to see a lot of suit damage which interests me. Only one rider in this show, he has a ton of forms.
Agito: Very solid show with a strong sci-fi feel. This is actually one of the best written Kamen Riders plotwise, imo, but it's a little less involving for me because I didn't get as into the characters (not that they're bad).
Ryuki: Card based system, lotsa riders. Riders have a very different look, if you're not a bug eyes fan. Pretty solid show, has some really nice twists and turns in the story.
555: Pretty polarizing, but I'm a huge fan of this one. The world it's set it can be pretty bleak and moral issues are presented as gray rather than black and white. The auto vajin (Faiz's bike) is amazing.
Blade: Another card system show. This one starts slow and can really drag at some points, but it gets to be good and it actually has one of the best series endings, imo. So just gotta be willing to stick with this one, if you check it out.
Hibiki: Radically different from other rider shows. Has a music theme, sometimes has a very slice of life feel to it. Writers changed halfway through and so did a lot about the series, but there is still some very good stuff in the second half. Just not very representative of Kamen Rider as a whole. Giant monster fights.
Kabuto: Said some stuff about this before, but good action, fun characters, good amount of seriousness and comedy. Some arcs are annoying (to me) but pretty consistent overall. Great show for toys, every rider's main form has a non-exclusive figuarts, even the movie only ones.
Den-O: Time travel theme, heavy on the comedy but does have some serious stuff too. Lots of catchphrases, pretty good monster design. Least bad-ass rider ever, but it works within the confines of the show. If you like the imagin, you'll like this one.
Kiva: Vampire theme. Switches between two interconnecting storylines in different times. This can be frustrating if you prefer the characters on one side, but if you like them both, you're good. Some badass ladies in this one. Fights can be annoying at times, though.
Decade: This is sort of a retrospective of all Kamen Riders. For that reason, it can be great to start with, but it can also be spoilertastic- the 555 and Kabuto spoilers are especially huge. Much shorter than the other series. Pretty awesome fight scenes, but I imagine they're better if you're familiar with other series.
W: Hardboiled detective theme. Fights involve constant form changes, which makes them very interesting. Great characters and the best ending in Kamen Rider history. Also a great series for toys.
OOO: Currently airing, 10 episodes translated. Form change heavy fights, but they're not as good as W's right now. Has a vending machine system that's really cool. Very likable main rider.

Hey Doc. I'm slowly getting tired of ModWar2 now....couple of the levels are just "takin' the piss" as far as camo goes....green on artic levels and luminous on the "run down" level.Might as well be wearing a fucking white tuxedo !. Pfff

Blade: Another card system show. This one starts slow and can really drag at some points, but it gets to be good and it actually has one of the best series endings, imo. So just gotta be willing to stick with this one, if you check it out.
Hibiki: Radically different from other rider shows. Has a music theme, sometimes has a very slice of life feel to it. Writers changed halfway through and so did a lot about the series, but there is still some very good stuff in the second half. Just not very representative of Kamen Rider as a whole. Giant monster fights.
Kabuto: Said some stuff about this before, but good action, fun characters, good amount of seriousness and comedy. Some arcs are annoying (to me) but pretty consistent overall. Great show for toys, every rider's main form has a non-exclusive figuarts, even the movie only ones.
Den-O: Time travel theme, heavy on the comedy but does have some serious stuff too. Lots of catchphrases, pretty good monster design. Least bad-ass rider ever, but it works within the confines of the show. If you like the imagin, you'll like this one.
Kiva: Vampire theme. Switches between two interconnecting storylines in different times. This can be frustrating if you prefer the characters on one side, but if you like them both, you're good. Some badass ladies in this one. Fights can be annoying at times, though.
Decade: This is sort of a retrospective of all Kamen Riders. For that reason, it can be great to start with, but it can also be spoilertastic- the 555 and Kabuto spoilers are especially huge. Much shorter than the other series. Pretty awesome fight scenes, but I imagine they're better if you're familiar with other series.
W: Hardboiled detective theme. Fights involve constant form changes, which makes them very interesting. Great characters and the best ending in Kamen Rider history. Also a great series for toys.
OOO: Currently airing, 10 episodes translated. Form change heavy fights, but they're not as good as W's right now. Has a vending machine system that's really cool. Very likable main rider.
