Today I wrote a piece on Green Wake (which I really need to post about here, it's pretty much the Silent Hill of comics) and the writer read it and said it was beautifully written! Still kind of overwhelmed by that. I honestly don't really know what I'm doing, and I'm not sure how I pulled off getting so many cool people to read this site. Before this my most successful site was a random adsense money maker where I dumped wallpapers I got off 4chan. XD I am really happy about it. If any of you guys ever want to contribute something to it, just let me know!
I bought Uzumaki at a half price book store thinking it was just the one book. Read to the end and found out there was 3 parts and that funny mark on the spine wasn't a claw mark thing but a "1". Was able to get 2 & 3 form a going out of Boarders.
I think I actually read volume 2 of Uzumaki first! I read a lot of stuff out of order when I was younger and the internet didn't make things so accessible. The stories stand up on their own, I guess, but I wouldn't post any of them separate because I think they're better when read together.
I really wish I'd been able to hit up the Borders sales! Mine's an hour away and I don't have a car right now so it was out of the question.

I used to get stuff from that all the time, but for a while it wasn't any good! They gave away a couple great Tom Waits songs and a gorgeous Beth Gibbons solo song back in the day.
I miss mp3.com way back when it was really good. I'd look up groups that compared themselves to artists I like, download a massive amount of stuff, and then listen to it all at once. Most of it was terrible but I found a few real gems. Felt like music treasure hunting. :(

I didn't grab too much.
Just from one Kareokee site because you can customize the free stuff.
Remove vocals, remove bass, drums, lead guitar, bells.
Did that for a christmas song and Rolling Stones "Paint it Black".
Made so many versions and downloaded as mp3 for free.

Things like that remind me of 200AD's future shocks. They were short tales like that.
They were used usually to fill up the page count if the issue ran under but they were a cool way for new writers to get work printed.

Today I wrote a piece on Green Wake (which I really need to post about here, it's pretty much the Silent Hill of comics) and the writer read it and said it was beautifully written! Still kind of overwhelmed by that. I honestly don't really know what I'm doing, and I'm not sure how I pulled off getting so many cool people to read this site. Before this my most successful site was a random adsense money maker where I dumped wallpapers I got off 4chan. XD I am really happy about it. If any of you guys ever want to contribute something to it, just let me know!
The question is, why don't more of you guys have nuts?!?
Well, I'd say the simplest answer is the fact that you made a site about a topic (DC comics reset) and launched it right when the event started with a few regular up dates so when people go to look for things about it they find you easily. Then with a little traffic coming your way half the battle is already won and all you have to do is let your work finish the rest.
I've noticed ever since I posted some bigger artists and popular images on my blog the page views have gone form a little over a dozen to around 70 or so.
I would actually love to do something for your site, I'm just no sure what.

You can do that! Just get the jingle and then go into I think control panel and find the audio/sounds settings and you can set any pre-loaded sound or even your own audio files to any action for your computer. I had the Wilhelm scream for the emptying recycle bin sound for a while.

I used to do stuff like that when I had XP. Changed all the sounds and changed my start up pic, instead of that Micro$haft flag I had something else.
I like the idea of the recycle bin change, it's something you'd only hear occasionally so wouldn't wear it out.

I haven't read anything about it. I saw a page on it in Game Informer, but deliberately didn't read it.
I think I watched Guru Larry and Wez play the multiplayer for a minute or two.

I wish they'd make a real Cthulhu movie.

There was a big snowstorm and power is out all over western Mass. I think a power outage is perfect for Halloween, but apparently most towns around here do not agree!
