No one would think to check this thread for music, so I don't think you need to worry about any stupid rules, especially if you edited the tracks yourself. I'm not super familiar with Beltrami's works, but I'll give it a listen, yeah.

Row ten seemed really close.
When I got to my seat I couldn't believe how close I was from the stage.
I arrived quite early and I'd look at people meandering in to the higher areas looking at me with a bit of the stink eye, I was almost the only one seated on the floor at that time.
The Portland crowd was very nedry, lots of SW T shirts, costumes and silliness.
Lots of people representing.
I got in fairly early, so I was able to check out the gallery(costumes, props, artwork) without a mob.
Of coarse when it's over it seems sort of short, I really enjoyed myself a lot.
There was a tween in front of me wearing a stromtrooper with crossbones T Shirt with a sandtrooper shoulder paultron over it. LOL
He said he had a helmet, but was waiting for a good deal on his armor.
Very polite future 501st-er (http://www.501st.com/) offered to take off his hat for me for a better view.
The sound was pretty good, but that venue's acoustics kind of sucks you get a lot of echo, especially with Anthony's mic.
Not too much a deviation in the score, some of it a little sweeter, some bits a little bolder than Williams conducting, but enjoyable overall.
I thought the selection of songs was quite good, all the favorites compressed into the time allowed.
The film editing was a little "meh" I wish they showed the pit more on the viewer instead of the retread film clips and some of it didn't really make much sense.
Overall an excellent show with as much represented as you could want.

A Serious Man: Vintage Coen Bros. A truly perplexing work that gives you more questions than answers (which I guess is the point). The Richard Kind is seen draining his cyst throughout the movie. Ebert (http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20091007/REVIEWS/910079998) claims that it's a retelling of the Book of Job, which makes it all the more intriguing.

Where The Wild Things Are: Such a peculiar film. One that seems like a good movie in my memory, if you know what I mean. Really not sure what to think about it. The locations and music are superb, but the monsters didn't really do it for me (although they were completely rounded out, detailed, and humanly realistic, if that makes any sense).

A couple of oddball flicks that I have idea whether I liked or not. I'll probably have to sleep on it a day or two.

Never heard anything from his Omen before. I don't know what I was expecting, but I am very familiar with the Goldsmith scores. Ave Satani is so awesome. So far I haven't heard any mistakes!

nice......yeah....Beltrami didn't use any of Goldsmith's Omen themes, but he did do a rearrangement of his themes for the soundtrack album. Beltrami has a habit of throwing on little bonus tracks on most of his soundtracks which is kind of nice.....but is sometimes distracting too.

He did however appear to tip his hat to Goldsmith in Flight Of The Phoenix. That is pure Goldsmith sound.

He scored that film the same year Goldsmith died......i guess it was his way of owing homage to his old teacher.

I don't believe there are mistakes, but some possible bad edits here or there.......which is funny, when actually doing my edits, i noticed a few bad edits done on the actual albums. Even funnier, on the Scream scores, there's so much dissonance on them, alot of times there sounds like there were edits done by me that weren't.

...and the weird part?

i don't think primates seem to mind the taste so much.

i personally don't like it, unless you mix in some Grape Kool-Aid with it.

If you drank nothing but Kool-Aid then you'd piss kool-Aid and you could save yourself the bother of having to mix it in ... just a suggestion.

Just listening to more tacks. Flight of the Phoenix is a little Goldmithy. It's going to be hard to beat his Hellboy tracks, one of his best scores and it perfectly fit the films tones. Also good to listen to while reading comics.

Hellboy is one of my favorites.....3:10 To Yuma, Scream 2, I Am Dina and The Minus Man actually....i can't really pick between the five of them.

I just pray they bring Beltrami back when (and if) Del Toro does a final Hellboy film.......i was really, really disappointed with Elfman's score.
