It probably doesn't help that when most people think of "Avatar," they think of the animated series, too. I'm not too thrilled about the movie; I saw the trailer ("from the director of Titanic" -- what crowd are they selling this to?) and it didn't do much for me. Blue guys, eh, cool. 3D, yeah, it'll look good. Of course there's not much out there these days that really excites me anymore.

As for "The Last Airbender," I'm really not impressed either. I've always been first in line for Shaymalan's pet projects, but this one might slip to the back burner.

Ha! I just about had permanent nerve damage about 10 years ago.....i woke up one morning and my leg just stopped working. I couldn't feel a thing in it and it wouldn't move. it was like that for a good month and a half....scary shit. didn't stop me from doing the shit i did back then, actually made me worse........idiot.

yeah....the Psychic TV cover is pretty good. there's maybe 3 or 4 other good covers on that Floyd tribute album......it's a double disc so you can believe how ripped off i felt when i bought it, but that was like around '95, so I've let off a little steam since then.

I don't even know how some people (like the mods) are aware of which releases are VS. How did he know to take down Elf complete? Or did "VS" PM him directly about it?

The Beltrami suites are kind of like your own creation...just like I--er, I mean whassamattayou--made his own suites of Danny Elfman music on Music for a Darkened Theatre 3. I don't think Varese SaraAssholes can really claim that as their own anymore now that their tracks have been butchered and decimated. Still, if you want to play it safe, I guess I'll have to go ahead and download your lossless files. Jeez! :p

nah...the original files aren't lossless...that'd take up too much time and D-drive space to burn the discs and edit that many lossless files...some suites have as many as 20 clips from one score on them (hopefully the listener won't hear that and think there's only 4 or 5 cues to each suite)...but i haven't even started to upload the newer versions yet.....i've got the cover art done, re-tagged the tracks and repackaged it again.....

i'm in the process of editing out that sound fart in Mimic at the moment and will hopefully have them uploaded by the end of the night, in shiney 256 kbps.

Yeah, that's the problem for me...lossless takes up too much space, and my croaky ol' laptop can't handle it. I also need to pick up yet another spindle of CD-Rs so I can quickly download, burn to disc, and delete so I can clear out space.

I was also thinking, does it count if you have VS tracks in one of your compilations? Because I know I have several in my compilation thread. And they ain't taking my links down just because of 1 or 2 tracks...or they're gonna hear from me something awful.

I don't think VS or the mods are fishing through most of the old tracks for any VS music released through their label....but i think they're keeping an eye for on all the new posts.

could you imagine if they were looking for every single last VS piece of music on this site? yegads.....if they were fishing out all the VS albums/tracks, i'd gladly look for 'em all if they paid me a pretty penny to do it :-P

....keep in mind professional record labels, still have to pay to put a single track on a soundtrack or compilation from a different label.

I dunno....i don't really know much about all the different Williams releases and bootlegs.

I tend to stick to the easy to find official albums when it comes to Williams......there's just too damned much by that guy to start a serious collection.

see,...i went soooooooooooo many years not even knowing there were other versions....i was happy to fuse 2 or 3 versions of a score into one album on my mp3...just so's i got every possible piece of music....whatever the quality...of particular movie scores i obsessed over.

PREDATOR took how many years to be released...i even got the numbered collectors edition when it was first release...{then sold it !}.....also the numbered Lethal Weapon release...{which i also sold during a self imposed crisis!}

wicthes ain't one of them,but...hey ! at that quality,..i'm happy !

i had to delete about 10 GBs of music of scores I'd downloaded....was great to get a hold of them,give them a listen,...but i my laptop was at critical-mass...and i needed the space....they were good but sacrifice-able,put a few of the compressed files on memory stick...but i got something like 600 hours of music on here !.

alot of the rare stuff i've stumbled upon, but I don't really listen to, I don't bother to keep or burn, i just pack 'em back up and upload 'em to my mediafire account and don't share any of the links, so they sit there and nobody downloads them, so they're not in any danger of being discovered and deleted. Everynow and then I'll go and re-download them for a music sample for my own music or a single track for a mix.

I like most of James Cameron's movies....i'm not a major fan of his though......I've only seen the 1st Terminator once and haven't really had the urge to see it again....I saw T2 twice...True Lies maybe three times.

I saw Aliens, The Abyss and Titanic quite a few times though.....

Took my a while to track it down, seems to be a little rare.

Been watching Eastwick the TV series, I was hoping the music in it would sometimes pay some homage to it, but no.
Yes, it's the TV soap opera version...I keep hoping it will get interesting because I like the movie....but so far it's Sex in the Cityish with the small hint of WOE flavor. Hopefully next week we'll see something better.

When I was working at Theaters I convinced them to book some movies as midnight screenings. I got to see Aliens and the Abyss on the big screen again as well as many others of my favorites. They still do midnights seasonally at The Cameras in San Jose, your welcome!

I fell asleep at an employee midnight screening for T3 before it came out.
I kept waking up with the big explosions and falling back to sleep.
Didn't see it again until it aired on cable.
I still don't think I've seen it once all the way through.
T2 was awesome at the time, but I don't think it hold up as well as say Aliens today. It's like watching Jurassic Park for the first time, you're all like WOW! but now it's just like....oh Jurassic Park is on again, yawn.

He's directing a new film written by Nick Cave called The Wettest County in the World. Ryan Gosling and Shia LaBeouf are all ready attached, so it should be interesting to see how they perform under something that will no doubt be gritty and brutally violent, considering Hillcoat and Cave's previous works.

Not bad. Not bad. Sometimes I like to stick my anus logs in the microwave to nuke them and watch them explode. Other times I'll serve them raw along with a side of frank and beans (redundant, I know). When I'm feeling down, I like to mix them in with chocolate chips and give them an ol' baking in the oven...makes the house smell like chocolate chip shit cookies for days. Ah...reminds me of grandma.

ofcourse this one time, when I was still living with my ex, she had invited her family over for some of her boyfriend's wonderful cooking. A little disgruntled, that I didn't want to cook on my night off, i cooked up a large batch of spaghetti and meatballs. I broke up the meatballs into chunks instead, and threw in some cat shit from the litter box as well. They blended in seamlessly in with the meat chunks and taste was hidden with that large amounts of garlic and basil i used in the sauce.

Yum...now that's good eating.

Frosted Flakes got me hooked on that shit, now I got one of my buddies hooked, and he did the same....it's an endless cycle.

I waste the time simultaneously with shoot the shit......oddly enough i can handle doing both at the same time.
