Its funny, back in 08 my high school was wrecking shit in Football despite the fact that all other years were shitty.

Well at the pep rally before there was a slideshow showing stuff up to that point. One of the songs always kept making me think I had heard it before. Well about 4 years later I'm talking to the guy who put the slideshow together (a local photographer/gamer buddy/ Husband of my Mom's former coworker). I asked him if he still had it saved somewhere and he did so we watched it.

Don't know why but something about it reminds me of BRICK.

BRICK is my favorite. :D If it didn't have to be a road movie I would've done a detective story. There's mystery stuff in my plot but it all wound up in my head.

The world doesn't like to acknowledge 4. It wasn't originally developed as a SH, but it ended up as one. Oh did it ever.

I do wish that they'd be more willing to actually make collections complete. Though, I do think they'd work in varying degrees of effectiveness, now. A complete SH collection would work better than one for FF, but neither as good as Mega Man. Bite sized shit like selectable stages just works so much better for a ton of games being on a single disk. Taking a FF anthology off the shelf would be like taking the complete works of an author. Big clunky affair (if we didn't have blurays). Not as easy to switch between the games and play what you want.

There is a logic to that with regards Bayonetta. It's punishing hard. 2nd play through lets you keep your abilities. I've been through it 3 times. First time on normal. Second on Easy to level the bitch up. Third on Hard to really punish and test myself.

Only Reloaded got the best trailer usage. Granted it was paired up as 2/3 total, it was still awesome.

Back in 2010 I went to the state power lifting meet at Episcopal High School in Baton Rouge. Well apparently that's the High School Will Wright (The Sims) graduated from.

I had no idea that Will Wright ever lived in Louisiana, must have escaped. Lucky bastard.

Revolutions trailer is my favorite trailer ever. Of course, I don't really think about trailers so it's probably the only one that's notable to me?

Outside of times when stuff is in the trailer and not in the movie.

I see the darkness spreading over the lights in the hall going out. So simple, so magnificent.

If we ever do top lists, trailers would be a great one. I watched the Watchmen trailer (heh) like 100 times.

The House on the Rock was built by Alex Jordan in the...sometime in the last 100 years. It does actually feature a house that was built on top of a rock that overlooks a large stretch of forest. Other features include...a shit-ton of stuff. Like you cannot possibly comprehend how much stuff this guy bought or created unless you've actually been there. It takes roughly two days if you want to get a decent look at everything there is to see. My family has been out there twice, and we could probably go ten more times and still see things we hadn't seen before. This was outside the entrance. There were a lot of pots like this.


This is called the Infinity Room. It might look more like it goes on for infinity if they didn't have those plants or fan in there. I've worked in Photoshop to try to make it look more convincing (but that's not what is pictured here):


I think this place was called something like The Streets of Yesteryear. It looks like a whole main street from the early 1900s. All the shops are loaded full of hundreds of things. As I've said, and probably will continue saying, you have no idea of the shear volume of stuff that this dude collected.


This is the humongous octopus that is epicly locked in battle with that whale posted earlier. I'm pretty sure at this point, Mr. Jordan thought, "I wanna build a 50-foot-tall whale fighting an octopus." I don't know where he got all the money to build or buy all these things. (Be sure to notice the scale of this thing by seeing the people in the upper left hand corner.)

I was mostly excited for the score.

Marco Beltrami is on fire when he scores western flavored scores...but to do a comic book western score should have been amazing.

Even when they don't do that well they make a killing on merchandising. Comics, cartoons, toys, t-shirts, Halloween costumes. I think a big part of these movies is keeping characters in the public consciousness.
