Yes. It's a little girls anime but pretty much everyone who has ever seen it loves it no matter how dumb it is. I'll see if I can find some links for you to start off with. It's going to be weird to start you off. Usually anyone who has seen outside of Japan saw the Nelvana versions first. Now Nelvana had seasons 1 and 2, and I forget at the moment who released season 3 and 4. Now these English versions are quite different from the Japanese versions. Episodes cut from the line up and some different editing because you know.... Japan is different, don't let the children know that! Season 5 was never dubbed in English. for the same reason. So basically sample the English first, then the Japanese which would make it easier to roll into season 5.

AH HAH! Here we go. Okay I couldn't find a handy living list at the usual place I look but someone else did know where to find some living links. The megavideo links tell me I need a new flash player :mad: Now the way it looks here, is that there are three separate links for each episode. I'm not sure of the differnce, but personally I usually go for the bigger files. To my understanding they aren't hard subbed so you'll have to turn the subs on if they don't play.......

I keep getting my subbed versions from Sailor Moon Center but they only do torrents....... if you want direct links you have to ask :sad:

Live action Sailor Moon > the anime, to be honest. It's toku and it's wonderful.

Especially in the later seasons, some of that animation is just insanely bad. And I say this as someone who was creepily obsessed with Sailor Moon.

I'll give the first season a try but it will be ages before I get to it.
I like to have all of something before I even start because I binge, so it'll go on the list of stuff to get.

It works great. My only gripes are 1. it uses java 2. it takes several minutes to start up on my computer. I mean really. You start it up...... go to the bathroom and go get a snack. Otherwise it's absolutely wonderful <3

I know there are useful glitches if you play it sans patch, but I'd rather play a clean game, and I'm actually really looking forward to trying out some of the online stuff once I build me a good pirate ship. :D

The Fuka figurine that comes with the premium set is actually really nice. I think people just bashed it because we got screwed out of a nendoroid. For how little I paid for this set, I am more than fine with a simple, well sculpted figurine.

I've got a big house. well, my mother does. most of my stuff is stashed there. as I am right now and until my appartment is habitable again, because right now, the carpet is litterally rotting. So they have to clean the mess the water did, then change the carpet and the kitchen linoleum and redo the painting on the wall as humidity has caused some problems there too. but the asshole doesn't seem too eager to do it :mad:

I do get rid of stuff, mostly of old VHS tapes. I just keeps it when I know there is no DVD. Like I did for "Blind Fury" and "Wanted : Dead or Alive", both with Rutger Hauer. :D. But I threw Judge Dredd to the bin the other day. just as I did with my old Conan and NY 1997 tapes too.

Quite possibly could. The US wants to ban all things copyrighted on the internet and would even try to get the cooperation of other nations to do so. From my understanding, if no cooperation from other country, then blocked.

The way it was presented on Wiki (yea, I know....), it would require things like paypal to sever services to sites identified as hosting, or knowingly FACILITATING the distribution of copywrited material. It would also require that search engines such as google block said sites from being shown. It extends to streaming vid sites like youtube and vimeo. It would allow persons uploading material to be punished, and make streaming of copywrited material a felony.

Meh. It'll happen soon enough, if not now.

I usually prefer to stay out of politics. But this seems like something that could affect the internet in a bad way. The bills should target piracy and do just that. But many seem to think it would affect doing movie reviews, video game reviews, or anything of that nature. There already exist fair use laws that permit the partial use of copyrighted works for criticism or educational value. Like I said, the language in the bill is very broad, but many say it means fair use will no longer exist on the internet. That would mean no more AVGN videos. Nothing. That would mean mass job losses for all small companies online. The internet’s been a source of innovation and the bills have been criticized for being being very badly worded. Until they’ve been revised, it’s best that these bills do not pass in their current form.

I just want to provide entertainment. I want you to come to this site, laugh and enjoy my videos. The last thing I would ever want to do is send everyone into a panic. It’s especially hard for me to write this, since it comes during the holiday season. I thought I’d be able to wait until January to speak up, but the supporters of these bills are rushing them through as fast as they can. They aren’t taking enough advise from tech experts. And they don’t seem to be open to any changes to the bills. The way in which they are going about it seems very wrong.

also good to boycott companies that support SOPA and let them know why. People really put the hurt on GoDaddy and they had to publicly renounce their support of SOPA. SOPA isn't really getting news coverage, but the boycotts are, and boosting awareness of it is good. Nintendo supports SOPA and I suspect no one will launch a boycott against them, though. The internet likes them too much.

technically, you can't lose at the end of videogames. there are only good and bad endings. take Baldur's gate 2 Throne of Bhaal. you can either play a do-gooder and go and live a happy life with one of the other characters, you can become a good and benevolent god, or you can become the worst asshole in the history of faerun by being an evil character that takes Bhaal's place. which would indeed be the bad ending.

As for SOPA, it even begins to freak me out, but there are a few problems with this law. Take a score composer who posts stuff with the authorization from his label on his website. wouldn't he fall under the juridiction of SOPA ?

Also I think there is a clear problem in the reasoning of this law: it's gonna cost one hell of a lot of money to block sites, arrest people and put them to trial, for the judicial procedurings, etc. but my main concern is "why should a moronic US law apply to me who's a french citizen !!" :mad:

i'd like to believe obama would veto such a law, seeing how the internet as it currently exists was a major part of the success of his campaign.

also good to boycott companies that support SOPA and let them know why. People really put the hurt on GoDaddy and they had to publicly renounce their support of SOPA. SOPA isn't really getting news coverage, but the boycotts are, and boosting awareness of it is good. I think the people who really want to pass this are just hoping most folks are completely unaware.that's why the bill's sponsors have tried to rush it through, before anyone knows shite. same thing they did with the patriot act.


Nintendo supports SOPA and I suspect no one will launch a boycott against them, though. The internet likes them too much.

That said, if it passes, I'd be okay. I don't think it'll totally kill pirating, just change it again, and I'm really pretty fine with not pirating stuff. It'd mean some sites I like would go and others would be less fun, but I have lots of games to play and books to read and shows to watch and maybe this way I'd actually take the time to enjoy stuff. I already buy comics + have Netflix.

that's the problem with the bill. they give it a name like "stop piracy etc bill" so that it sounds misleading. people are less likely to be up in arms against such a law.

the big problem is that the very thing the law targets will survive. as long as there's a will and a way, people will continue sharing movies and music. unfortunately the law could potentially fuck smaller internet business and cause massive job losses in the tech industry. as i said already, it could make it very difficult for new startups to get off the ground. that's why so many tech industry folks are so against it.

the problem with record companies and film studios is that they don't want anything being shared or streamed. what they fail to realize is how much interest is generated in their products by allowing people to stream them on sites like youtube. i can't begin to list how many new artists and films i've learned about and eventually bought because of streaming.

same back in the days of napster. i discovered a lot of great underground/indie/obscure/oop music that you couldn't hear on the radio or see on music tv channels, and wound up buying most of it later on.

it's like they only want us buying the prepackaged mainstream popular shite and blockbuster crap films that they are constantly shoving down our throats and nothing else. it's bad for art.

I suspect some of the republican support for SOPA (and I am not implying only republicans support SOPA) is because it'll put Obama in a pretty terrible position should it pass. His two biggest sources of support are Hollywood, which is extremely pro-SOPA, and the internet, which is obviously very anti-SOPA. No matter what he does, he loses, which means it's win-win for them.

I can't see SOPA passing as is, because it has so many loopholes and could be exploited in some really nasty ways. From my understanding, people could use it to temporarily take down the websites of their competitors pretty easily. I definitely think there's a good chance it'll pass with a few adjustments, though. Good time to start loading up on downloads, though if it does pass, there should be a nice chunk of time before it actually goes into effects.

I agree it won't stop piracy. It'll change it, probably make it less convenient, and a smaller amount of people will be able to pirate stuff until more people get the new methods figured out. I honestly think it's more about keeping people from prescription drugs online than anything else. If you look at the supporters like half of them are drug companies.

I watched Escape from New York a few nights ago. There is a 10 minute deleted scene of Snake's crime in the extras that I'd never seen before. It was pretty damn good. I can see why it was cut (so we'd sympathise more with Snake as the good bad guy) but feck, it should have had an option to watch the film with it put back in just for the hell of it. There was a really cool lengthy tracking shot from the POV of a bad robot floor cleaning security thing.

Got rid of most of my books/manga/comics for the same reason.

Those uHaul small boxes get REALLY heavy, quick, and I used to have about 30 in manga, 20 in books, and 10 in comics.

Money calculator says that's about $26. Damn, that's even cheaper than what they sell it at Best Buy for :shock: Damn good deal I say.
