I actually liked the original 1984 version of Dune although it looks really dated now. The Mini-series was OK but the actors they chose were mostly a bunch of Brits I never heard of and they just did not make me care about the characters. No mater how great the story is if you don't care about the characters because of the actors performances, the movie is doomed.

I have a book filled with H R Giger's concept designs for the propsed Alejandro Jodorowsky version. The Harkonnen world would have been amazing if they had went with them.

Really. When you find his superman costume sketch you'll be glad he got the boot. Burton then went on to create Stain-boy, which is his response to losing supes. Stain-boy is much better than the eventual Singer movie.

hundreds of people gather together and pillow fight at the same time on the street.

a precise time is picked to gather, doing your best to conceal your pillow........then at the strike of whatever, everybody pulls out their pillow and goes at it.....then after 15 minutes, it all stops at the same time and everybody goes back to whatever they were doing, as if it never happened.......only there's feathers and shit all over the place. it's hilarious.
