Everytime I turn on my computer, it takes about 30 minutes for the interwebs to "warm up" and while waiting the pages take about 3 or minutes to fully load. I've been on here for about 20 minutes now just trying to load 2 pages and then quote and then do this.

It'll be fine in about 10 minutes......:mad: WTF!

If you're with Telus or a phone line internet, you should unplug the phone jacks all over the place.
Make sure no devices are plugged in: the phone, the modem/router, nothing.
Wait 5 minutes (or 3) for the phone lines in your place to reset its signal then plug everything back in.

If you're with a cable company like Shaw, unplug everything from your modem/router for 30 seconds then start plugging everything back in. start at your comp all the way to the power outlet. make sure the power cord is the last thing you plug in.
This should reset the modem/router and register your devices on a clean slate and also fix any faulty connections, hiccups.

Is it a single partition or did you partition it?
If it's a single partition, you are fuckered. It'll take forever to defrag.
If it's partitioned nicely, I recommend using "Raxco PerfectDisk" or "Diskeeper".
PerfectDisk can defrag at boot time.
Which is good to defrag the MFT, PageFile and other things that normally can't be defragged.
It will increase boot time and get system files/protocols running faster.

Also clean your registry of any broken regristy pointers. (CCleaner does nicely).
And find something that can scan and defrag/compact your registry hives.
This will remove any useless strings in the registry and greatly improve your bootup/bootdown time.
Yamicsoft's XP Manager/Vista Manager/Win7 Manager can do this.
(It can also do a few tweaks to your internet to help make it faster, also system tweaks for your ram and cpu cache (level 1, 2, etc))
