when it comes to marketing, yeah, they're quite smart. and indeed there have been certain types likfe ahmet ertugan (is that how u spell it?) and david geffen and berry gordy that are quite astute at spotting genuinely good, talented musicians, but i think most record execs get in a rut trying to find clones of their most original and successful acts rather than taking risks and trying to sign bands and singers that offer something new. and as far as promoting art goes, that is stupid and shortsighted, leading to bland, boring music. but then their job isn't to provide art so much as to satisfy demand of their consumers, so in that respect they do their job well, i suppose. stupid consumers...

ridley scott, to me, is sort of halfway between kubrick and spielberg. he can do a cerebral, intellectual film (which kubrick was master of) but he also has made some popcorn adventure films closer to spielberg's style (gladiator, robin hood, etc)

As for Blade Runner: It is indeed Cyberpunk. It is what all modern cyberpunk is based on as far as looks, design, etc, goes. Be it Roleplaying Games (Shadowrun, Cyberpunk RPG), Movies (Johnny Mnemonic, Robocop, Matrix, etc) or Comics, they all borrowed ideas from the Blade Runner movies.

Blade Runner is the father of Cyberpunk movies, while Metropolis is its grandfather.

Clearly, anyone seeking high fidelity and absolute quality in sound would know that DVD-A's stand in the same halls as SACD, Vinyl, Blu-Ray and the occasional HDCD.

Although, I really don't think HDCD should be there.

D&D was a fun game.

AD&D (whether it's first or 2nd edition) was one of the greatest game ever. I'm reading all the sourcebooks for the forgotten realms, Al Qadim and Ravenloft, and I've already seen enough material for a hundred films and a 400 seasons TV series.

D&D third ed was good but lacked a lot of the charm that AD&D had. that and I hated seeing all those games abandonning their old system and the D20 system reigning other all RPGs. I had to have a godamn D&D pair of books to play Star Wars, Call of Cthulhu or Elric ? No thanks. I prefer the old D6 system of WEG for Star Wars, and the Basic system of Chaosium for the two others.

D&D 4th ed...:notgood:. Want a proof ? AD&D was in use (with a second ed) from the late 70s to the early 2000s. D&D 3 from circa 2000 to 3 years ago, methinks.

They're playtesting the fifth edition, and plan to release it next year. D&D 4 won't even have lasted 5 years. To do worse you'd have to be a much smaller game edited by a much smaller company. and some last for decades, like Call of Cthulhu (same system for more than 30 years now.)

They should go back to AD&D. So much great stuff. And to find it you have to be rich or a pirate, they don't do ebooks. fuck you Wizard of the Coast. FUCK YOU !!:mad:

I ran into that earlier today before I ran out the door.
Wanted to post it but was too busy getting ready.

:laugh: For some reason I take longer to get ready than a girl does.
Sans the fap, it all equals out the same time length.

The audio stems are in mp3@128. The sfx are all car sfx, since it's Chrysler :laugh:
The videos are littered with watermarks, logos and a timer ticker.
The "photos" are the same. They're really just title cards from the trailer.
Really distracting as it, too, has watermarks, logos and timer tickers. :laugh:

Video quality is actually very pleasing. 480p with proper x264 settings in an MP4.

I don't see anyone really doing too much with it.

I grabbed it all just because :laugh:

The first few stems of the long and short strings and the chant are all quiet for the first 2 minutes as there isn't much of it in the first half of the trailer.

It's all from the Teaser trailer, to boot.

The final mix is nice.

I do wish they had released WAV versions.

Now that I'm home, I'm going to inquire about acquiring a WAV version and complain that editing with lossy mp3, especially at 128 is really going to degrade the quality and make the "edited" videos a little... :erm: How we say... poop?

here as well. I have been weeks to clean my "dungeon". There is dust starting to have "degrees". I hate went I do not clean my stuff. I have been delaying it, because I want to clean all in one day, and I have been waiting to get a special glue for my Evangelion toys. The Kayodo ones. They have very little pieces that come out very easily. :/

She's still alive. And really, death wouldn't stop Lin Beifong from being a glorious god either. I'm still not sure if Amon has actually permanently taken away anyone's bending, but I am confident she'll still be able to kick ass without it. She is wonderful. :swoon:

Probably just take a recalibration for the benders who had their power removed to remember that those martial arts still work with fists and kicks.

I guess that low rating news might have something to do with it. Some carriers are considering dropping Nick for it.

It's been scheduled like this before it started. Only thing low ratings might effect is when season 2 airs, I guess. I wonder if the problem is that mostly older people are watching. :laugh:

Last I saw the Korra ratings were still great, but the last episode I saw numbers for was The Aftermath. It was the second highest rated kids program of that week.

Nick should do another live action sitcom. With Michelle Yeoh as Toph, Jet Li as Zuzu, and Chow Yun Fat as Aang. We need orginal Avatar adult stories.

I used to be able to sweat 110 degrees, no problem. Now I am irritated and it's only 84. This mountain air has made me weak.
