Orks. I loved playing against Orks at 40K. Basically, I liked playing against anything as long as it was not Tyrannids or Necrons. but the rest...I could take it. I still have my old Chaos space marine Army. got it started around 1994-94 I guess. Sad thing is that I never could get enogh money till recently to buy the ginormous tanks like Land Raiders.

The man with the terrible bowlcut wound the window shut and gravity returned to normal (by earth standards) and jesus banged his head against the floor, his robe finally obeying and returning to its proper, much more dignified position.

"shut up ok. Space ships donut count. Plus, you're an ass and got me stuck here in the firstplace so there was no way I was just gonna float around there all day" jesus tantrumed, folding his arms over his chest.

That's a pretty wildly incomplete summary, actually.

It's a book of stories. Only a tiny number of nutbars actually believe that everything god orders people to do in the stories is something god is ordering them to do personally. Also, within the context of the stories, all the "genocide" is god wiping evil off the earth, like slaughtering orcs in Lord of the Rings. These things were not written to be history textbooks and most religious people understand that.

Maybe to mix things up you could avoid screaming about how stupid you think religious people are at every possible opportunity. It will make you look like less of a reactionary.

As for the Old Testament, I read it. It's probably more metaphorical than fact tough. I missed that bear thing, though. still, religions have always and will always be full of gory stories. the Greek and romans had them, the egyptians, and don't start me on the aztecs. As a priest (a jesuit) once told me, it's not what written in the book nor what we (as in the church) tell you that matters, it's what you do that matters. I think he was trying to tell me that just believing there is "something" and that "being a good guy" is good enough for god, if he even exists.
