you should talk to your landlord about getting a plumbing company to work on the outdoor drainage system.

chances are the pipes outside under the ground are clay, back from the 60's. and are mostly decayed, caved-in and not doing their job.
you need PVC pipes to replace. if there's a sump, maybe replace the motor with something new.
i would be complaining out my ass.
also the sides of the walls outside need to be tarred down.

might cost some money, but if they get a good plumbing company (and not done by the landlords uncle and kids), and the job is done right (the first time), then it should last a good 50 years or so.

you can even ask the plumbers how long it will last before they get concerned enough to ask about reworking the drainage system.

Yeah, for a while i lived outside the Renfrew skytrain station, before there was ever a skytrain there.
then new west, i had an east indian landlord (male, female e.i landlords suck balls) and he was the shit. he did everything.
then for awhile i had an asian landlord in new west. he was terrible. absolutely terrible.
wouldn't do anything no matter how much we told him it was in his legal right to fix anything.
he only ever did anything if his son asked for fixes in his place.
the rest of us just stared out the window, vowing never to order chinese food again.
we finally left.

now im in burnaby with another asian landlord :rolleyes:
took forever for him to deal with the drainage system outside and get the walkpath fixed.
the concrete walking path from the sidewalk to the building was so decayed, an old woman could trip at night and really break herself.
it was that bad.
FINALLY the postal service complained and put a stop order on the mail until it was fixed.

It is. It made me think of The Books of Magic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Books_of_Magic)series. I've only read a dozen issues and they were all out of order. :sad: What I read was good. I plan to get them all ... someday. :rolleyes:

Books of Magic is so so good! I love Tim Hunter. He's in a pitch I wrote for DC for absolutely no reason, because I don't have a means of pitching to DC. :laugh: I love all the DC magic stuff in general, they do it really well, and with Neil Gaiman it's even better. Phantom Stranger and Constantine are in Books of Magic too! Though you probably know this.

I feel like the biggest reason DC doesn't use the character anymore is the Harry Potter similarities? But Tim came first, dammit. ; ;

I got about 40 comics in a warehouse clearance once for the price of about 3, there were about a dozen Books of Magic, some Sandman and I can't remember the rest. I got Sandman 50 which was a nice stroke of luck.

Constantine moonlights in a number of those kinds of works. He's a useful guy.

I really want to get The Books of Faerie as well. I don't know if they come before or after in the timeline but I love the idea of revisiting the DC versions of Titania and Auberon. Gaiman used them in one of his finest Sandman tales.

Ezio is an excellent protagonist and all the other characters he meets on his journey are brilliantly voiced and the animation is excellent. The script is brilliant throughout. It is one of the most immersive experiences I have ever had and Assassin's Creed is the most beautiful and artistic game series of the generation.


Ezio is a dick; I'm going to call him Dick for the remainder of this review. The game struggles to continue his story, it even makes your hard work in the previous game redundant to try and add drama but the emotional attachment was never there so I really didn’t care that Dick’s day had turned to shit. Fuck him and his stupid clothes.

The voice acting is lifeless and stale, if you thought it was bad before and couldn’t get any worse you’re in for a surprise.

I’m disappointed in the decision to extend the trilogy in a half-assed way that only serves to highlight flaws and cripple any hope of rescuing the story from the pit they wrote themselves into.

So, Leprechaun marathon on the Sci-Fi Channel (I refuse to type SyFy...oh sh...) all day. ALL DAY.

I thought last season was pretty hit or miss (but I love the Kim Jong-il episode), but overall, this season has been an improvement for me. I'm not sure how I feel about Kristen Schaal's character, though, even though I think she's great in general.

It's not as good as Parks and Rec or Community for me, but it's still good times. The writing on Happy Endings is a little sharper, I think, but I like the characters on 30 Rock a lot more.

I'd agree with that. Last year bummed me out. I'm able to enjoy it again this season but I haven't been left absolutely loving an episode. Parks and Recreation is still my groove, though there was one episode a few weeks back that I thought was randomly really awful.

I like these people too. I have the Suburgatory pilot on my computer but I've never watched it.

I like New Girl too. It's not as good a comedy as those other shows, but it is a fun show to watch. I can see it growing into a really great show, but if it doesn't, it's okay. It's a "b show" for me.
