I can't support anyone emotionally. I want to but it doubt that I could deliver, I don't have anything in shape. I can't even get a movie, exercise, a bit of reading, & writing in and that's stuff I want to do and I have to real responsibility.

Right now i'm working on 2 trial articles for the 52 mother site: "10 toys of Star Wars aliens" & "10 guest guest hosts for a new Muppet Show". thought that if I could get these done O could gauge if I would write for it. I know you said that they're looking for anime and other Japanese content but that's a while away. I hope to get FLCL soon and so I don't want to watch the recorded VHS tape again if I do get it and I'll probably rewatch Eva during winter break so those 2 things would be in early next year.

Man, I remember I used to take my tape recorder deck and hooked it up the VCR and would record soundclips as little intermissions in between tracks of custom soundtracks.

Man, do I miss cassette tapes. I did stuff like that all the time. I'd tape weird little soundclips or commercials off the radio and then try and use them on mixtapes without recording over them. Usually I'd record over only part of it and you'd get some kind of half clip. XD I also used to make "music videos" by playing clips on my TV and clicking to play a song at then insisting they synced up perfectly, whether they did or not.

Editing is good fun.
I did it the difficult way...
2 vcr's, 1 tape deck, piggy back cords, notepad and pen and a looooooooooot of notes.
I had notes about when the music rises, continues, drops, slopes down, quiet part, intense build up 1, intense build up 2, intense burst, slow rise, sudden rise, etc.


I did that too. :love: I was lucky enough to have my TV all wired through the amp so it was a lot easier than having to hold a tape deck up to the source. I had a fantastic Wicker Man one, some Trek ones, Withnail & I and Evil Dead and... so many more.

After figuring out what devices work best and what cords to use, I upgraded everything lol.
And hooked everything up the difficult way.

Good times.

Now everything is funner on the PC :awsm:

I just know this particular build of ffmpeg is the same builds used for AVStoDVD, which is a really nice conversion program.
For simple movies like dramas or comedies, I'll use this to convert 1080p.mkv to DVD.
It uses HCenc to convert the video and the quality is nearly as perfect as Cinema Craft Encoder.

Though, I'm conflicted of whether or not I should be using the stable release of HCenc (.25) or the beta release (.26)...

At least the orginal DCAU cannon was finished off, that way nothing could ruin like 6 series (and at least 3 movies) worth of story. The epilouge of JLU (in other words the finale of Batman Beyond) still blows my mind.

Brave and the Bold wasnt that great imo, but it was better than The Batman.

I bought the whole first season because it was really cheap (�3 iirc) and by the end of the season I was kind of warming to it.

Joker was bullshit though.

The Batman took a long time to get good, for me. It did get good eventually, but I still think they missed the boat when it came to some of their character re-imaginings.

Brave and the Bold, on the other hand, was fantastic. Hilarious, smart, great action, wonderful musical numbers, use of obscure characters, and the occasional emotional episode. It really highlights what's special about Batman- that he can be reinterpreted in so many ways. Also, best Aquaman ever.

I'm mostly okay with Alfred and his pistols. He regularly whips out a shotgun in the comics, so it isn't as big a stretch as it might seem. And I do love seeing what a badass Alfred really is. I'm just not sure how well it will work in practice. I also wish they'd used Cass Cain instead of Katana- Cass was in the main cast of a pitched Batman toon they didn't go with- but I get the impression this character is Katana in name only. I'm happy they're going to be focusing on lesser known villains. Cartoons are the best way to get people familiar with these characters.

I'm really psyched for that animation block even if I don't wind up digging the shows. All the shorts look incredible. Claymation Batman. Doom Patrol. AMETHYST PRINCESS OF GEM WORLD.

I've only seen the first 4 episodes of it.
It's not expensive to buy in single volumes but I always imagined waiting for a box set if I was going to buy it.

I am a massive Trekker and I can say with confidence that a few of those are bogus "shopped" pics.

Morello is credited for it on IMDB! "Crewman Mitchell" on Voyager. I've never really watched Voyager. He also apparently had an uncredited part in Insurrection. Curiouser and curiouser!

If they are going for lesser known villians I would say they need to include Prometheus, Deadshot, Azrael (not a villian per se, but dangerous), Hush (known to comic fans but not to the mainstream), Red Hood (the you know who version), and maybe Deacon Blackfire.

I know they said its not about the Joker but they really need to have Batman's worst enemy somewhere in there.

When Sisko shaved his head and grew a beard he turned into a hard bastard and the show seemed to reflect that more.

It wasn't until season 4 of DS9 that things got really interesting. As for Jeffery Combs as Weyoun...he is just an awesome character actor any way you slice it.

He did, he's consistently great. Still, I always think "Hamill would be better", and it just makes stuff a little harder to appreciate. Same thing frequently applies to Batman, though some Bats voice actors are much better than others. I love Crisis on Two Earths, but man does William Baldwin make a bland Batman. James Woods more than makes up for it, though.

He did, but I want to say he made a "well maybe someday..." statement later on. I've kind of been avoiding Arkham City news, though, since I haven't played it yet.
